Saved By the Rain

Today Ross flew out to NC and I took the math part of the CBEST. I arranged for kids to be picked up by Alissa and play at their home. Allen stayed after school for his APUSH practice test and then brought Abby home from swim practice. The weather was super moody. It would be sunny and then cloud over and rain and the repeat. During recess 1st graders got caught in rain and I blew the whistle and they hustled to class. I was there to  monitor indoor recess but Ms. W said they were all in their classrooms and were okay. Then I monitored the 3rd grade class pod. Jill's class the best behaved. After my test I turned my phone back on and Jill's practice was cancelled (because her field was a mess), but the twins game looked like it was still on and just moved to another park. I picked them up at Jared's and then they reluctantly got ready in their uniforms. Five minutes before we were going to load up to go, it started raining and then hailing and then pouring. Those girls were so excited to have it cancelled. Ross and Allen did a job interview practice over the phone. Ross's plane here was delayed and the one in Chicago was delayed. The car rental was closed when he arrived in NC. I stayed up late to watch a few recorded shows since I had passed my last cbest. I also contacted the school to let them know.

Double coolers

Creative backpack day for spirit week. Allen said he's going to be in the yearbook because of his large rolling cooler :)

Abby's math teacher died and that gathered early to watch the sunrise at the oak tree

Writing test at 9:15, 90 min. Two essays: arguing no gap in between college and high school and explaining a resolved problem in steps (Tibia Torsion Trial).

Ross worked from home

Helped with 1st, 2nd recess

Park pickup at 4. Jared came along. Stopped at the library

Date dinner at Pieology

Watched Turning Red on Disney + as a family. I fell asleep. Not impressed with it. Annoying characters

Afghan

Our heat doesn't work (stuck around 60 degrees), and our owner came to look at things. Since a cough started this morning for me I went and hid in the bedroom and Ross talked to her and work things out with the heat. I wore double masks outside my room. Allen picked the girls up after school and picked Abby up from basketball practice.  BlueOaks 9. I worked on a blanket to mail about 42x52.

Opened the mail to a Carebear picture I colored
