Sleeping & Skating

 Dec 22...

Sleeping in (finally!!) ...aaaahhhh - so nice, mid-day doctor appointment for voice, first day of break and I ran into several scholars at the skating rink. I took Jill there so she could meet a friend. We were there in that noise for 2 hours. Ross took Abby to a Kings game. They won and they brought home a big tub of buttery popcorn. 3rd popcorn tub and 3rd game this week. Ross also helped me tackle my Christmas card project and update our list.  Next year I will order the next size up. We also went to Dollar Tree for family gifts.

Elf Shirt

I didn't own a holiday sweater, but I have a festive shirt, so I wore that. Today we were really pressed for time with a birthday reader, our M journal and Mouse craft, reindeer headbands and math games with our buddies and our ckla lesson. We didn't get to the Santa gnome tear art so we'll do that tomorrow. I helped prepped folders with holiday work to go home. I took pictures of my favorites.

Jill went with Ross to a Kings game. She also had a flu shot and earned a free beanie! Game 2 of 4 this week.

They played the Celtics and lost. Jill and Ross went to Del Taco before the game and brought me home two tacos. 

Christmas Is Turtle-ly Awesome

Holiday sock day and a scholar gifted me a new pair of cute turtle Christmas socks for the occasion. I wore a black skirt and my Clark's sandals so you could better see the socks :) To kick off letter M week, the scholars made mittens in math and played a matching game. They also made stockings. We did all part of our star scholar, which was perfect, because the week was bound to be busier as it rolled along.

Ross took Allen to the Kings game. The first 500 people, who arrived and got a flu shot earned a Kings beanie. Allen is a proud new owner of the fuzzy hat. And the Kings won! This was game 1 of 4, just this week.

Found this awesome school project while cleaning and organizing. Jill had a Polar Express primary party, then a soccer team party and then was invited to a friend playdate after. We played with "guiners" and had dinner at Costa Vida. Ross took my dad to a Kings game and I cut Allen's hair.

Light the beam! The Kings won tonight. They had the most three pointers on a game for the team -- 25. We went out for KFC before. After school I had two piano lessons. Abby took Jane to swim.
