Jill's awards

Wednesday morning the girls cleaned out their backpacks and sorted classwork. Abby drove Allen to school for the first and only time. Painting job, pool guy, first camp meeting with Kelli, prepping for a guest. Jill won the Lincoln award and the Laura Ingalls Wilder award.

Emma had Marianne over from 11-3:30 and Jane went to Lexie's from 4-9pm. I received an email about my exam scores (CTEL 3 taken May 2 and CTEL 1 taken May 10) ... And passed CTEL1. So now I've passed CTEL 2 and 1. I scheduled CTEL 3 for Aug 1st. But I did what the school hr told me was required -- that I needed to attempt all three tests and pass 2 of them.

This May Madness can never be topped with my mother passing, leaving for over a week, taking two big exams, finishing my first year of teaching at JAA, having a graduating senior, having a softball pitcher, having two umpires, having a new driver, end of school events, mother's Day projects at school, heritage Fair at JAA, report cards with comments, last week's take homes, goodbye hugs, girls camp around the corner.

Weary Wednesday

 April 26...

No photos today but the calendar says Jill got a pizza kit lunch, Abby had a dermatologist appt that Ross took her to, late start for the high school, AP Government review session, lacrosse picture (she skipped), softball practice, last volleyball practice at American River, Ross played men's basketball. Kids in bed late because too tired to manage.

Saturday Sunrise

I woke up at 5am, took Abby and her friend to the volleyball tournament by 6:30am, swung by the temple grounds for early sunrise walk around twice, went home to have breakfast and put away Easter and left by 8:35 (a tad late because Jane couldn't find her umpire bag), and took the twins to their games. They both umpired 6U and two 8 U (rotating between plate and base with their partner). Ross brought Allen and Jill with him with pizzas and soda. Abby's friends parents brought her home from the tournament. Jane and Emma did their last game and I worked on my CTEL 3 study guide. I also talked to Mrs. Brooks (principal last year), and Jill's team last year and Ross's former coaching staff were playing against each other and Emma was umpiring. After the game we went home, I had a quick rest and got ready for statue conference leadership session. Ross took Jill to her softball game. I was at the stake center for leadership 4-6, choir practice at 6 and the adult session 7-9. We had Mark A Mortensen from the Seventy visit. Ross sent me texts to update me on that game. Jill pitched for the first time this season, our family was in charge of the snack and they had to hold they other team one last ups and Jill pitched (1st and last inning) and they were a few runs ahead and won!  From 8:30am-9pm, I was only home 1 hour.; What a best day! I think next Saturday is just as busy. Ross was home and helped with kids and chores and wedding and cleaned the pool and helped with homework and laundry.
