Before practice the girls did a service for Allen (bringing in the trash can) and I asked Emma to give him hints so he could guess what they did. After two hints Allen still had no idea so Emma drew this picture. Haha!

Emma also decided to organize her drawers and get rid of excess clothing and Wednesday when she was putting away her laundry. Totally her idea. She wrapped her shirts, socks, undies and pajamas tight!

After practice some tears and showers and Ross had basketball and did a math practice test (37). More practice ahead.

This is the blue I put on my ministering delivery:

Hello!!
General Conference weekend is coming up and we wanted to SHARE a favorite game we play at our house to help us listen to the speakers. The game is called MYSTERY WORD — Someone picks a WORD (a gospel topic or Church phrase) before a talk begins and then every time the speaker says that word, you get a treat! Each talk you choose a different word.

Ideas of words to listen for: Joseph Smith, Jesus Christ, faith, prayer, prophet, Book of Mormon, love, Temple, sacrament, church, family, priesthood, Heavenly Father, baptism, Holy Ghost

I’m excited to hear inspiring messages from living prophets and apostles at these 5 sessions:

Saturday, April 2nd: 9am (morning session), 1pm (afternoon session), 5pm (women’s session)
Sunday, April 3rd: 9am (morning session), 1pm (afternoon session)

Watch live or later at ChurchofJesusChrist.org ENJOY!! ❤, Love your Ministering Sisters!

I would have waited for my companion Abby to help but she was at a swim meet yesterday at Nevada Union until close to 8pm. And she has swim tomorrow until almost 5 and tomorrow night t we have a softball game and I'm keeping score.

Two Ladybugs

We had tostadas for dinner and, in the words of grandma, "there was not even a sniff left". We finished up all the cheese, green onion, diced tomatoes, beans/meat. Dinner was yummy!

Four kids went to youth night at the church. Jill practiced softball in the backyard with dad. I played Wicked on the piano and cleaned up the kitchen. I also did laundry and ironing earlier and went to the school for recess help. I found two ladybugs and gave them to kids who were also searching for ladybugs.

Jill CRUSHed it!

Jill was a rockstar at her game: 2 double plays (as short stop caught fly ball and threw it to 1st base getting base runner --who had already gone to 2nd -- out!), she hit a triple and was the "closer" pitcher and had no hits. Her team is called Orange Crush.

Emma umpired a game on the opposite field at the same time and Jane umpired a game after Jill's game, same field.

Free Donuts

Rain made for change of plans -- indoor recess duty (never done that before) and cancelled softball games in the evening. So instead the girls and I watched a few episodes of Spleenworld and the kids picked up from donuts for their great report cards!!

And before school Jill did a piano lesson about the Bruno song. :)

Beanbag Song

We took tithing and filled Easter eggs to church for egg hunt collection box. Kids cooperated more with leaving at 8:30am. I had time to say up the primary room. Allen was an usher at beginning of sacrament. It was fast and testimony meeting. Sister Murphy had a new husband. In primary we sang two birthday spotlight choices, 3 Easter songs and 4 conference/prophet songs. In nursery I took in my new beanbags. This afternoon I taught CFM with the ten plagues, pharaoh's reaction and e played MOSES bingo. Ross and I went to a stake family history training meeting. I got hooked on map app and searched for each of the 50 states when attaching records. I caught up and responded to emails. Ross made exciting noodles (black cherry lemonade) and thinks he'll do that every fast Sunday. We played Kornered and Telestrations before bed.

Six on Saturday

Six softball games on Saturday is going to be the norm until the end of May...

9am (2) -- Jane and Emma umpired at opposite fields (6U and no trainer). I walked back and forth between the two fields to support and cheer for them. This was their first official game.

11am (2) -- Emma umpired at field 2. Jill played a game on field 1. She pitched two innings and played catcher. She had two true doubles (one time base coach Ross didn't send her to 2nd even though she probably could have made it :)

1pm -- Jane umpired at field 2

5pm -- we arrived at 3:45 for warm-ups for twins team. Emma got a double play at first base (catching pop fly and tagging base) and Jane hit, got on base and scored a run. Emma played 1st twice and sat out twice. Jane sat out two times and played right field 2 innings. I was the scorekeeper (first time) and it was 11-10 for the win.

Coach/manager plate meeting that they start and faciliate.

Basketball banquet

Ross worked from home and we had a lunch date at BK just after 11. Then I worked at the school (kids find a snake on the soccer field at recess), made a dozen Beanbags for nursery, made Ramen, we played hooky from the softball opening and and went to the girls basketball dinner banquet.

Open House

We had Open House tonight at the school from 5-6, an emergency band zoom meeting at 6, dinner (zuppa toscana and peasant bread) in between, youth activities for all five kids. Our driver took his sisters to the church.

It was really fun seeing the kids in their classrooms. I've been in their rooms a bunch this year, but it was fun watching them show us their projects.
