Max's Baptism

Saturday...
Good morning counter!! I made waffles, bacon and eggs for breakfast. I finished up all the batches of cupcakes (12 dozen) while grandparents took the twins to their softball practice 9-11 and I went and bought an army of fruit. For lunch I made sausage, egg and cheese burgers. And left the baptism about 12 (for Ross) and 12:15 for the rest. We drove to the stake center in Lincoln and passed Gladden McBean company on the way in the Lincoln. My dad said his dad worked for them and came out to work there back when he was growing up in Seattle. My dad thought Lincoln sounded familiar and wondered why his dad would work there as an architect. When we passed the old, large company he recognized the name. A little piece of family history there :)

We attended Max's baptism this afternoon. He was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It was very special❣️ (Max is Ross's cousin and he first asked about the Church after Ross invited him to play men's basketball after Christmas. Then he started meeting with missionaries and began reading the Book of Mormon.) Ross performed the baptism, I was one of the witnesses and Allen and Abby gave the prayers. I could feel Ross's parents and family smiling down from heaven. It was a beautiful service. 😊

Left to Right, back row and going clockwise: Uncle Craig Lehman, Uncle Paul Lehman, Allen, Max, Ross, Andrea, Abby, Dixie Lehman (Craig's wife), Grandma (Kitty's mom), Emma, Kitty (Max's mom), Jill, Jane.

Elder Craig and Elder Merrill

Ross and I went on a walk around the block in the afternoon-- hi turkeys!

We went to the school to show grandparents Allen's Eagle project. And then we went out to dinner at Olive Garden to celebrate Ross's birthday. (Leap Day, 2.29 take-home meals)

We had a lot of food boxes to take home! :)

Family on Family History Friday and Friday Flick

Friday...

Dropped the kids at school and we went to the temple. We attended the 10am session and then did a stack of sealings (4 families with siblings) after that.

It was fantastic being with FAMILY in the temple today. I love my parents! There was an incredible feeling inside and we got a lot of work done. 💞
"Yea, and my presence shall be there, for I will come into it, and all the pure in heart that shall come into it shall see God."
—Doctrine & Covenants 97:16

That morning I had made 2 dozen cupcakes and a bowl of peasant bread dough. We had lunch at Chick-Fil-A and then stopped home so we could change, I could put the dough on the pan, I could grab the softball practice stuff.

Grandparents took Jill to her practice and I took the twins. That night we had leftover zuppa toscana, salad, more fresh bread, (brownies for dinner was the night before--thanks Grandma!), and bowls of popcorn and cotton candy for the movie party to see The Fighting Preacher. So good!

Circus song at the Band Concert

Thursday...

My parents drove into town. We went to Allen's band concert that night. I made zuppa toscana and peasant bread for dinner. I spent the morning picking up cupcake holders from sisters in the ward that volunteered theres. I ended up with about 6-7 containers.

My parents are in town. 🙌 Tonight we enjoyed the band and choir concert at the high school. 🎶 Yay Allen!! The circus piece was our favorite. 🎪

Whiteboards in YW

Wednesday...
Took 50+ books back to the county library and took a photo of Allen's book so I could put it on hold at the city library.

After GB book drop, squeezed in a visit to Walmart and then home to put away freezer stuff, and then went to Eich to check Abby out of school and take her to the orthodontist. While she was in the chair I got a call from Jane that she had forgotten her lunch. I left the ortho office, went home to get Jane's lunch, dropped it at Stoneridge and then came back. Abby was still in the chair...for almost another hour. Her 1-hour appt turned into almost 2 hours. I got a lot of emails written while I sat there, boy, I'll let you that.

Got to Jill's softball practice slightly early so I pushed her on the swing.

Jill's coach calls her B-52 because she's a bomber at bat.

The youth activity got an A+.

Last night for our Young Women activity, using vinyl lettering, twine and washi tape, we created GOAL whiteboards which include the four areas (social, spiritual, physical and intellectual) in the new youth program. We watched a segment of Sunday's Face to Face Broadcast about goal setting while enjoying some cookies. Then the young women wrote goals on their boards and met within their classes to brainstorm ideas for future activities/personal development nights to address their individual and class goals. 📝👍

Temple Tuesday

Tuesday...
Temple and softball practice (Fire & Ice) right after school and baptism interview--Max and missionaries

"Temples are places of personal revelation. When I have been weighed down by a problem or a difficulty, I have gone to the House of the Lord with a prayer in my heart for answers. The answers have come in clear and unmistakable ways."

Back to Back Eich B'ball Games

Monday...

These are the scriptures from the whiteboard that Allen's used in yesterday's Come Follow Me lesson.

Monday is minimum day so all the kids get out of school earlier than the rest of the week. I dropped them home and then went back to Eich to watch Alisi in the 7th grade basketball game and Lily in the 8th grade game.

For FHE we had a lesson from the church website, teaching children the importance of avoiding pornography and we watched Solo.

Little Women

Saturday...

It was delightful for attend the Little Women Musical in Lincoln with Katie and Abby. (Ross had taken Jill and siblings to a birthday party at a skating rink while we were gone.) We got to the theater almost an hour early (I had the time wrong) so we walked a few blocks and looked at the stores and search for ice cream because Abby was craving it. Found nothing, but did buy some desserts at the snack bar in the theater.

We saw Ella perform as Beth (she's 14, almost 15) and so as YW leaders, Katie and I wanted to be there. Plus, we are big Little Women fans and had never seen the musical. We enjoyed it! Good cast, great costumes, I liked the 2nd level set.

That night on 65 a car was parked in the left lane... ahhhhh! Luckily I was in the right lane and slowed down. We laughed for 5 minutes when I told them one time I was going to honk my horn at a car, but I couldn't think fast enough and I did the windshield wipers--- and then Ross teased me and said, "yeah, you let them have it with those windshield wipers!" hahaha!

Earlier that day Jane and Emma had a softball practice, 9-11am. Jane's feet hurt from her small shoes so we went and got cleats that afternoon (coupon and on sale--tithing blessing!)

All the kids did their chores and then we had free time for a few hours. Ross went skiing by himself for the day. It's the last time he'll use his pass since things get busy in March because of softball season. Goodbye January and a little-bit February. They are the most chill months of the year.

Found these wings in a dark alley! haha!
