Hey, everyone!
Today I will share you with the fourth and final card we made in our card class this month. I think it turned out so pretty and it's my favorite! I wasn't sure what design to go with for the last card but since the other cards were a little more detailed I decided to go with a CAS (clean and simple) card and I'm so glad I did! Take a look:
The base is Premium White Cardstock, layered with black cardstock, then another piece of the white. The sentiment is from Trendy Greetings and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The scalloped squares are Marvy Clever Lever punches and I added doodle dots with my Black Tombow marker and my white gel pen. The stamp is a purchase with purchase stamp which was embossed with black embossing powder after being stamped with Versamark. We used an embossing buddy to keep the stray powder away. We heat set it with the embossing heat tool and I absolutely love it! The final shimmer was added when we traced the sentiment with the Stardust Clear Gel Pen. That pen is fantastic... a definite must-have!
Thanks for hanging out with me today! I hope you were inspired to stamp today! Have a great one!

Sweet Birthday Wishes!
Hey, everyone!
This is another heavy birthday month for my family. My baby boy turns 3, my aunt and cousin have a birthday only three days before his and my oldest sister's birthday is in two more days. My nephew (her son) will have a birthday on the 22nd! School starts on Javan's birthday and I am starting a new job, working 40 hours a week, so this is a very full and busy month!
Do you keep a stash of cards? I always think I will but I give them away just as fast as I make them! I'm not sure how long I will hang on to this one but it was so fun to make. This is the third card we made in our card class. We created some dimension with the Scor-Bug by embossing some lines near the bottom. Not sure you can see it very well here but it was so fun! Hope you like it!
TAC Supplies Used:
Premium White Cardstock (V-290)
Black cardstock (V215)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOTHER!
Hey, everyone!!
I wanted to wish my mother THE HAPPIEST BIRTHDAY EVER today! I love and adore my mom! She is the kind of mom who always put her kids first. There were 4 of us and I know that my mom did without MANY, MANY times so she could give us things. I remember that we had delicious meals that she made right when we got off the school bus. Mmmm! I know that we had popcorn and cool-aid when we watched movies as a family at night. I can remember sitting at the table for hours while she told us fascinating stories from her childhood. We would laugh so hard! She taught me to celebrate every little thing...not just the big things! I remember so many good and wonderful things about her and I am so thankful I still have her. One of my dearest friends lost her mother to cancer and even though she is in the arms of Jesus I know it has to be so hard to not have her. I do not even allow myself to imagine how that must feel! The older I get the more I need my mom!
My mom loves strawberry pie! Mmmm! I do, too! LOL So I try to make her one for her birthday. Here is the one I made for her this year. It's SIMPLE to make but delicious, too, and yes, I cheat! LOL I get a store-bought pie crust, even though I have a wonderful recipe for an amazing crust from my home ec days! I take the strawberry gel and fresh strawberries, cut and tops removed, mix it up in a bowl and pour into the baked crust. Sometimes we add cool whip and sometimes we don't! So yum!
This is the card I made my mother. The sentiment is from The Angel Company and it's called Celebration Time! I stamped it in Palette Hybrid Bordeaux ink. I used my Clever Lever Marvy punches for the large circle and scalloped circle.
Here you can see the shimmer on the sentiment that I created with my Stardust Clear Gel Pen. You can purchase those supplies from The Angel Company. Let me know if you'd like to order the new catalog! It's amazing! Some of you have already requested one and I will be sending them to you soon!

Operation Write Home: You Make My Heart Smile
Hey, everyone!
The sentiment is from Dear Friend from The Angel Company. You can order it from Serendipity Street. There are cute sentiments and two darling images in that set.
I have one more set of cards to show you and then these will all be sent off to Operation Write Home. Have a great one!
Hugs,
We are getting near the end of my Operation Write Home card series. If you are new here, I have been sharing some cards that I created for OWH. I committed to make 10 cards, two of each design, and use the same designer papers and cardstock for all 10 cards. This is a new challenge to me because I never do that! It's been fun, though. I wanted to do a little different design this time so I checked out blogs for card sketch ideas. I found this sketch here and was eager to try it. Here's my card:
The butterfly is from The Angel Company but it's something I got in a grab bag. I am not sure what set it is from. I used my green Stardust Glitter Gel Pen for the antennae, my clear gel pen for the "trail" and then my blue SGGP for the body and some of the wings. I also outlined the sentiment with my blue SGGP.The sentiment is from Dear Friend from The Angel Company. You can order it from Serendipity Street. There are cute sentiments and two darling images in that set.
I have one more set of cards to show you and then these will all be sent off to Operation Write Home. Have a great one!

Am I crazy or what???
Hey, everyone!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today to see what is new! If you haven't received your copy of my newsletter for this month, check your bulk folder and if you still don't have it, let me know. I would be happy to send you a copy of it!
This weekend has been full and busy! Paul had surgery on Friday! Everything went really well. We were sooo tired that morning and arrived an hour early, so we slept in the car (SUCH A NICE DAY!!!) for a little while before we had to go in. Here's a couple pictures of Paul just before he was going in. He is so tall his feet stick off the bed! LOL
That was a long day for both of us! He rested at his mom and dad's a while and then I took him home to rest for the night. Then I had to get busy! My cousin's baby shower was Saturday afternoon. I said I would help with the cake, favors and a special gift. I was up for 28 hours straight!!!! Am I crazy or what? Here's what I came up with:
30 homemade almond bark covered pretzels with blue sprinkles party favors that say:

I made my own bow from ribbon!
This is the card and envelope I made using the TAC HELLO BABY stamp set and a few miscellaneous stamps, TAC Jumbo circle punch and scalloped circle punch.
The candle is a keepsake for the baby...a preemie and not home yet! DJ loved it!! I used the TAC WILD FOR YOU stamp set.
This is the cake I made! It had been over a year since I decorated a cake and I was really, really exhausted but it turned out okay. It tasted so good! Well thanks for stopping by! Leave me a comment and let me know what you think!!!

CHECK OUT MY NEW TOTE BAGS!!!
Hey, everyone!!!
Guess what I am so eager to show you??? My new tote bags from Daily Window Bags! These are soooo roomy, so nice and plenty of pockets! I love how I can display my artwork in the front of the bags. If you aren't crafty, you could always add a picture in the window and it gets zipped inside, so there's no worrying about what will happen to your beautiful cards and photos!!! Here are the photos of mine, but you HAVE to go check them out!!!
They are beautiful and I am so eager to make some artwork to carry for both of mine! The bags are even cuter in person!!!! THANK YOU DAILY WINDOW BAGS!!!!!! Click on the graphic on the right side of this page to go straight to the website!!
Here's two cards my daughter made using the Scor-Pal to make the gate-fold cards. She did a great job! And bless her heart for using up all my extra punches!!! Yay! She made her dad the card on the left and mine is the one on the right!
And before I go, I wanted to share a few cards I made today! Since the weather is a little more chilly here, it kind of reminded me of fall...my favorite season!!! So, I made a fall-ish looking card and am very pleased with it!
Thanks for looking!

Teacher Appreciation Gifts
Hey, everyone!
Thanks for stopping by today to see what I have come up with!
Since this is Teacher Appreciation Week, I have decided to make a little gift for my daughter's teacher and TA's. I'm sure a lot of teachers will get various gifts, but I thought I would give them something they would be able to use over and over. I made them some post-it note holders. I had fun making three of these and three note cards to go along with them!
I used the Thanks GWP stamp (TG-2913); Noir Palette Hybrid Ink Pad (TT-220); and the Mega Scalloped Circle 2½" (D-700).
I hope you like these and are inspired to make something today! Remember to thank the teachers who have made a difference in your life and the lives of your children, not just at school, but at church and any special things they've done!!
Have a great day!

My First TAC Appearance!
Hey, everyone!
I had a really fun time at Monyca's church tonight. All the ladies were so friendly and nice! I am eager to see how well Monyca does with orders, so she can get DOUBLE free!!! That is always a fun thing!!
Since most had never scrapped before, I decided to come up with a couple pages that were similar but weren't too overwhelming for someone just learning to do papercrafting. I think everyone enjoyed themselves and I know I certainly did. It was so nice to meet so many ladies and they were so happy to get to play with my stamps and punches and tools! I even showed one lady how to use the Scor-Pal and she thought it was really great! I know I love it!!! You have to get one of these if you don't have it. This tool is so awesome and there is so many different things you can do with it!
I didn't take any photos of tonight's meeting. I was a little nervous and was so busy helping others, but it was a blast! I hope we can do that again sometime! I can't leave you without any photos, though! So I'll share the two pages I made to demonstrate this evening! Hope you enjoy these!!!
I used the TAC Scalloped Circle Punch, GWP Swirl Stamp, and Family Is Forever Stamp Set in the top photo.
I used TAC Scalloped Circle Punch, Gray Tombow Marker, Treasure Seeker Stamp Set, His Angels Stamp Set, and Family Is Forever Stamp Set in the bottom photo.
And one final happy note...a very generous lady gave us a donation for our Relay For Life!!! I am so excited about that! If you haven't reserved your spot yet, just call me today. If you can't go to the STAMP OUT CANCER and CROP FOR A CURE fundraiser May 17, then consider donating online. All gifts are tax-deductible and it will be greatly appreciated by the Hoosier Stampers. You can purchase a $10 luminary in MEMORY OF or in HONOR OF someone you love! E-mail me for more information or go here to donate today!
Thanks for checking back with me. I hope you'll pop in again soon and see what other creations this Hoosier Card Angel can come up with!! Until then, happy paper crafting!

Baby Shower Card
Hey, everyone!
This has certainly been one busy week! My husband's papaw had been put in the hospital, in ICU. He started improving and they were going to move him onto the medical floor. We got a call Sunday morning to go to the hospital but we were too late when we got there. He passed away just before we walked in. :0(
With the passing of Papaw Elbert, and thinking of death and our own mortality as the week began, it seems only fitting that the weekend would be filled with anticipation and joy with the new birth of my baby cousin and the summer arrival for my friend's baby that I went to a shower for today! My baby cousin was born this week, though he was not due to be born until July! He weighed 2 lbs. 1 oz. and was 13" long!! He is breathing on his own and his heart is doing well! We give God all the praise for that MIRACLE! My cousin is doing well, too, but must remain in the hospital a while longer! It has been a bittersweet week....losing a dear man who was so special and kind...but gaining a new little life, full of wonder and awe! It really is amazing!
The night before my cousin was transferred to a different hospital, I made her a card using the shaving cream technique. It is sort of like a post card! Here is a photo:
Since I got my new stamps recently (you gotta love the DOUBLE REWARDS!!!) I have been cutting my stamps out and eager to play!! I got the chance this morning. I made a card for my friend's baby shower. I thought I would show it to you all!
I used the Hello Baby stamp set, Just Like Dad paper, Hybrid Pallette Ink Spots (LOVE IT!), gray tombow marker, scalloped punch and my new Scor-Pal! Ask me how you can get them, too!!
Sunday (it already is Sunday....just really early), I will be making some packets for Monyca's FunShop she is having this Tuesday! It will be a lot of fun! If you wanted to place an order to get your DOUBLE REWARDS, do that soon because time is running out! April 30 is the last day to get all your DOUBLE BENEFITS!
Have a great day!

Look at what I made!
Hey, everyone!
I bought this miniature scrapbook about 3 or 4 years ago. It came in a little package with some miniature stickers to decorate it. I think my daughter (a toddler at the time) swiped them! I hung on to the little book thinking of things I could make it into. Maybe school pictures of my daughter's preschool friends with all their information on the page: their name, age, grade and teacher. Or I thought I could put my favorite quotes and scriptures inside it, slip it into my purse or bag and could instantly be inspired when I read it. There were other ideas I had, but I never acted on any of them...so there it sat so plain and pitiful, begging to be made into something beautiful!!
Here is the finished product:I had so much fun with this! It was really neat to work on it and come up with different papers from my drawer of scraps! This quote from GOOD TIMBER is one of my favorites! I hope you will be inspired to change something you've been holding onto for a while into something beautiful and useful! I am still thinking about what I can use this little notebook for!! Any ideas? Leave me a comment and I'd love to read your ideas!!!
Have a great weekend! Check back soon for more fun stuff!!

Nugget Purse
Hey, everyone!
It is a BEAUTIFUL day here in Bedford, Indiana! I have a couple photos to share with you of my kiddos enjoying the warm sunshine!! Hannah is such a BIG help to me!!! Thank you, Hannah, for playing with the kiddos while I get things done!!
Before Hannah left for the day, I asked her to make a Nugget Purse with me! What fun we had doing it!! She took mine home with her and I kept hers because mine turned out kinda funky! LOL And she did a PERFECT job on hers!! We used the same paper, so basically they are the same, but mine just was a little different!
Hope you enjoy these photos! Thank you, Debbi Doodles for the heads-up on this project! You are the BEST!!

Missing You Card
Hey, everyone!
Thanks for checking out my new card! Can you guess what I used to color the flower petals? Shaving cream and ink refill!! I had a fun time making the background paper to punch out. My daughter, Kadesia, and friend, Hannah, played with the messy mixture yesterday and now have some very pretty papers! Thank you to my friend Amber for telling me about this technique!! I added Stickles to the punches for more shimmer!I hope you enjoy the card!! Leave me a comment!!!
