Thank you notes!

Hey, everyone!

I wanted to show you the thank you notes I created for my card class ladies this month! We had fun making our four cards and we are all looking forward to September 21, at 2 p.m. when we will meet again! We hope you can make it to join us! Here are the thank you notes:

For the card base I chose some Kraft cardstock I had. I layered on green cardstock next from the new double-sided Emma coordinating cardstock. I love this gorgeous floral patterned paper so I used it for my main image. It was too pretty to cover up. I took my Labels 1 Nestabilities and my Wizard to create the "many thanks" layers. Those cardstocks are from Emma, too. The sentiment is from the Tag Tidbits in Raw Sienna Palette Hybrid ink. I ran my Clear Stardust Gelly Pen over the letters for a little shimmer! I rounded the bottom corners of the card and layers with my Corner Chomper! Love it!! The inside is the gray color, with the corners rounded as well.

Tomorrow is a FunShop for my new stamping friend Betty and her guests. We're making two cards together and then we'll have fun shopping in the catalogs! It will be a lot of fun and I am eager to share the cards with you all. I won't though...until after her party! Would you like to have a FunShop and earn hostess benefits with a qualifying party? You can get the Copics for half-price, the Wizard, anything you want...for 50% off! Plus you get a level A Hostess set and a free gift from me to you! Let me know when you'd like to have your party!

Thank you!

Hey, everyone!

Yesterday I showed you one of the four cards we made at my card class. I met Donna & Karen yesterday to make all four cards. Karen had requested some fun folds and I was happy to meet the challenge! I saw this Triangular Tri Fold Card and wanted to give it a try. It's the perfect size for a quick thank you note!
The cardstock is Birch (V-227) from The Angel Company. It is time to reorder; I am out and I absolutely love this cardstock! The sentiment is a Purchase With Purchase stamp called Thank You Oval (TW-3358). You can buy this stamp for only $2.95 with any $30 purchase! I used my Palette Hybrid ink in French Lilac (TT-202). The green designer paper and plaid designer paper is from the Toodle Loo Soar With It Collection (V-834). I outlined the oval and flourishes with my Stardust Clear Gelly Pen (F-464). Come back tomorrow to see another card!

Frugal Friday

Hey, everyone!

Today is the last Friday of the month so this will be my final Frugal Friday Tip! I hope you have enjoyed them! Today's tip is to purchase a heart-shaped piece of Plastic Canvas like so:
Now I do not remember how to do counted-cross-stitching, but I picked up one of these at Walmart a while back. You can get any shape but I like the hearts because you get lines going straight across, curved and angled (like for a square). This one template will let you take your piercing tool and create a perfect line of holes for paper piercing. After punching holes in your cardstock, run a white gel pen, or any marker of your choice along the lines and it looks like you stitched your card! So fun!! I love it when one product can do so many different things!
Now if you tuned in yesterday you will recall that Donna asked me to GO GREEN! I shared a card that had a lot of green in it. She asked me to see how many shades of green I could get on one card. Well guess what? I did it again, only this time the entire card is green! The only exception is the doodle dots and they are shimmery and the flowers are yellow. Here was my inspiration:
You see that little square pillow in the photo? Well I wanted to create a card using that as my inspiration. I got a good start and then got stuck so my right hand (wo)man, Christina, inspired me. So here is my card just as green as it gets:
I used VersaMark on each panel to stamp an image from the Sprigs stamp set. The sentiment was from a special stamp set that was offered in January, I believe. I love buttons and wanted to use them on this card. So here is how it turned out! I hope you all like it!!!

Thank you -- quick and easy!

Hey, everyone!

I needed to make 4 quick thank you notes as I put some orders together. I just grabbed my Catelynne designer paper since I had already been working with it for the Alice in Wonderland party favors and thought it would be fun to use it. Doesn't it seem so springy and cheerful? I love this paper!
I stamped a flower from the Squiggle Ladybugs stamp set in Belle Rose then added a shadow with my Gray Tombow marker. Love that look! Of course I had to add some doodle dots with my white gel pen!
Here are all the cards together. I made the one in the front different since she was the hostess. I had a lot of fun at the FunShop and am eager to do it all again soon! Do you give out thank you cards? There's been a lot of talk about it around blog-land...and to be honest I had to think about that! I always send thank you notes to my customers but do I always remember to send thank you notes to my family and friends? Hmmm, maybe not enough! I think I will try to be more mindful of doing that!

Hey, everyone!

I wanted to give you the new colors for the Color Combo Motivational. I selected Prussian Blue, Charcoal, Sunflower and White. I hope you will play along. Leave me a link to your card!
The stamps I used here are Circle Sampler and Build-A-Flower by The Angel Company. The border punch is from Martha Stewart. Since Christina and Donna were the only two to take my Color Combo Motivational offer...I am awarding them both a prize! Thank you ladies for playing.

St. Patrick's Day is next week! I am so excited. It's one of my most favorite holidays. My kids and I will be making cookies with green frosting again this year. Love that cookie making tradition. I think I will be going HERE for more fun ideas to celebrate! I am also having a FunShop for June L. on Wednesday so I am definitely looking forward to that!

I got three new FREE digital stamps. They are super cute. Click HERE to pick them up for yourself and don't forget to take a peek to see what other stamps they have! Super fun!

I still have a few stamps for sale. Be sure to check it out HERE to see what is left. They are going fast! I will have more up in a couple weeks!

FunShop Fun!

Hey, everyone!!

I wanted to share with you the hostess thank you card and gift I created for my friend, Donna. She had a FunShop at her home with some of her friends. You can go HERE to see Donna's creations.
This is the inside view of the nugget box I made her.
Here's a close-up of the card I made. I used the Scor-Bug for a fun decorative effect.
The designer paper is from The Angel Company. The tag is from the same paper set called Penelope. The "thank you" sentiment is a PWP stamp set called Lotsa' Love and I used French Lilac Palette Hybrid Ink which matches the card so well.
I created a 12x12 Christmas page for them to make at their request. I had a lot of fun designing this page. The holly and ivy are from The Angel Company's Holly Jolly PWP stamp set. The sentiment on the top of the journaling box is from TAC's Inspirational Sayings stamp set.
The "MEMORIES" title was cut out using my Cricut. I absolutely love it for making titles and when preparing kits for FunShops and classes it definitely makes light of the work. I ran the letters through my Xyron Sticker Maker and attached them. So fun! All the ladies enjoyed the project and had fun learning something new. I enjoyed meeting everyone and the snacks Donna shared were scrumpdiddlyumptious! Thanks for hanging out with me today! If you want to get in on the drawing I am having read this post for more information!

Hey, everyone!!

Today's card is for the Color Combo Motivational over at Paper Wings. Every other week I come up with some colors we can play with and it's so much fun to see everyone's creations. One of my favorite things about paper crafting is that we can use the same colors, the same materials, sometimes, and yet come up with unique projects that are so different! This is my second time to be the hostess but it is the 50th motivational so in honor of that I am offering a prize at Paper Wings for any of the Angels who participate! The more projects they share using these colors only, the more chances they will get for the drawing. If you are an Angel and want to be included in this drawing, be sure you go to Paper Wings and share your project in the gallery. If you are NOT an Angel but you would like to play along, leave me a comment on THIS post and you will be entered into another drawing! I will choose a name from those of you who leave me a link to your project using ONLY these three colors: SUNFLOWER, FRENCH LILAC and WHITE. Since some of you may not have these particular hybrid palette ink colors, you can use another form of yellow or purple BUT you must ONLY use TAC stamps!!
This card uses our Premium White cardstock. I love it!! The cardstock is a piece of yellow I had in my scrapbooking papers so I grabbed it. I used a border punch that I purchased at Walmart for a fun decorative edge. The flowers, sentiment and little butterfly are all from the PWP stamp set called Lotsa' Love from TAC. It's only $2.95 with any $30 purchase! It has another sentiment and some leaves with it! A great value and so fun! I paired it up with my bigger butterfly from Butterfly Swirls. I love this stamp set! I outlined my little butterflies and some of the features on the bigger butterfly with my purple Stardust Glitter Gel Pen. So shimmery!
Here you can see the wings! I stamped the top wing a second time, cut it out and attached it with pop dots for more dimension. I added some glue and Prisma glitter to the wings. They really sparkle and then I curled the wing tips up for more effect. I like it! The glue isn't quite dry in this photo but I was impatient! LOL I look forward to seeing all your creations and hope you will leave me your links!

Thanks, Friend!

Hey, everyone!!

I just wanted to share the "thank you" cards I created for my customers who placed an order in January. I used my Scor-Pal to create a fun border for my sentiment. The card measures 4" x 8" and then I scored it in half at 4" also using my Scor-Pal. The sentiment is from the Squiggle Ladybugs stamp set using Noir Palette Hybrid Ink. The hearts are from Sweet Goodies using L'Amore Red Palette Hybrid Ink. I love the design in the hearts! Too cute!

Thank you for stopping by today! I will share some really sweet projects coming up this week and I also want to share my Scripture Challenge with you. My son has been sick so I have been behind this week for posting... well for a lot of things! Take care!

Final Card Class of 2009

Hey, everyone!

We had a great time making 4 cards during the final card class of this year! If you would like to purchase a kit they are $10, plus shipping if applicable. The first couple of cards are the thank you cards my customers will receive this month. So far my customers have loved these! This is our amazing double-sided More Mimi SWIC paper from The Angel Company. I love these poofy, layered flowers, don't you? The sentiment is from the Trendy Greetings set and it's stamped in Belle Rose ink.
The first card we made today was a pocket card. These are super easy to make and really fun! The possibilities are seemingly endless with things you can do with this type of card.
Here is the pocket insert.
The second card we created was a thanksgiving card in honor of the fall season, which happens to be my most favorite!!! I love it! The ladies in the card class today actually left their image stamped in Burnt Umber, then sponged over and it looked so classy! Each took a couple images home with them to play around with colors and things later! They outlined the burnt umber image with the clear gel pen.... love that pen! Those adorable circles in the background are a Level A Hostess set and inked with Orangerie. I am so glad I got it! It's great!! The other stamp set used is Give Thanks.
The third card was also a Thanksgiving card and I absolutely love it! The mug is also a Level A stamp set and was inked in Burnt Umber. I used my Tombow markers, a Copic marker, and my glitter gel pens to color in the mug. The swirls are from Butterfly Swirls and I added some sparkle to the steam with my glitter gel pen. The mug was stamped on the cardstock, then stamped again and cut out. I popped it up with pop dots for added dimension and I love it! The paper is the Amelia collection from TAC.
The inside sentiment was also stamped in Orangerie. It is from the Delicious Fall stamp set.
The last card we made together was another Christmas card. I really like the sentiments. This card features Reece paper from The Angel Company. The sentiment on the front is stamped in Jardin Moss and is from the Inspirational Sayings stamp set.
The inside is also from the same stamp set and using the same ink and paper collection! I hope you've enjoyed and wish you were there to join us!
Thanks for hanging out with me today! I hope you will be inspired to create something special today, too!

Have a Holly Jolly Christmas

Hey, everyone!!
I wanted to thank my hostesses who have joined me for the 3 for 3 Hostess Club this year! It is so much fun to offer this each fall. This is my second year and I love it! I created a thank you card for each hostess. You can see it below:

I used the Willoughby cardstock and designer paper pack to create this card. The stamps are all from The Angel Company. The branch stamp is from Good Timber, the sentiment is from Tag Tidbits and the pumpkin is from Sweet Goodies. I used the tag from the Willoughby collection and the design is based on a sketch from The Angel Company Idea Book.

I also made each hostess a sample card with a card kit (including stamped image) for them to create their own. This is a fun design with the ribbon. You can see the different designer paper here. This particular paper pack is retired but you can get two other paper packs similar to this.
Do you recognize the sentiment? I used the Pay With Purchase (PWP) stamp set that TAC offers in the front of the Idea Book. You can get this stamp for only $2.95 with any $30 purchase and it comes with holly and ivy, also.
These are just a couple different angles of the same card. The patterned paper piece is raised up with foam tape and the sentiment layer is also popped up on dimensionals. I hope you like it and that it inspires you to create something new and fun today! Leave me a comment with a link so I can check it out!

Thanks

Hey, everyone!

I just got another order from The Angel Company! I like to put a thank you card inside each order to let them know I appreciate them spending their craft dollars with me. I wanted to make a simple, one layer card. I decided to create this:

I used the new Level A Hostess stamp set, ENJOY NATURE. You can get this set for FREE with any $100 purchase or party and during our special you can earn a second Level A Hostess stamp set for FREE as well as TWO items in any of our publications for 50% off! I inked the butterfly and center flowers in Iris Palette Hybrid Ink. The flowers on the outside and the sentiment were inked up with Belle Rose Palette Hybrid Ink. The card measures 8½ x 5½, scored at 4¼. Thank you for checking it out!

Card Class TODAY!!!!

Hey, everyone!

I made some thank you notes for my customers this month. I asked my daughter which ink to use with my new PWP stamp and she said Orangerie and I loved it! I grabbed some white cardstock, black cardstock and my now retired paper pack Finger Paints. I love the bright colors in that pack! This thank you card looks very fall-ish, huh? LOL This stamp is only $2.95 with any $30 order and while the Double the Fun Promotion is going on, you can purchase TWO PWP for every $30 order!
I am having a card class at my home today! There are six ladies coming and I am so excited! I can hardly wait! Here are the cards we will be making.
The card on the left is using the Good Timber stamp set and Burnt Umber Palette Hybrid Ink. The designer paper is Amberley Grace.
The card on the right features the Sweet Goodies and Tag Tidbits stamp sets. I stamped the "box image" in Burnt Umber and the sun image and sentiment in Orangerie Palette Hybrid Ink. The designer paper is Amberley Grace as well. I used my circle punch and two scalloped square punches. All is available from The Angel Company.
These are the other two cards we're making today! I used the Gerbera Daisy stamp for the focal image. I stamped it in L'Amore Red and Viridian Leaf Palette Hybrid Ink. The sentiment is from Build-A-Flower and I stamped it in the same ink colors.
The card on the right is another Amberley Grace designer paper card. I stamped stars from the Wild West stamp set and the Just A Note sentiment is from Tag Tidbits. All can be purchased from TAC.

If you would like to purchase a card kit for these four cards, leave me a comment or e-mail me at hoosier_card_angel@yahoo.com and I will be happy to get these mailed out to you. The cost is $10 for the kit if you are local and can meet me for pick up. If you would need these mailed out it would be $10 plus shipping costs. I do accept paypal but no credit cards please.

Have a great day!

Thanks so much!

Hey, everyone!

I just made some customer thank you cards and wanted to show them to all of you! My inspiration came from Angie Kennedy Juda from Chic 'n Scratch! She is an amazing paper crafter and I love all her videos. Here is the link to the card I liked so well.

I am using Premium White Cardstock for the bases cut at 4¼" x 11" and scored at 5½" on my Scor-Pal. The designer paper is discontinued but I love it! The name of the paper pack is Finger Paints! The red colors are so vibrant. I know it looks kind of pink in the pictures but it really is bright red! I cut a piece of 4"x4" designer paper and placed it on the top of the card. Using Black Cardstock, I punched out a scalloped circle with my Mega Scallop Punch. The polka dot patterned paper was punched using my Super Circle Punch and the sentiment was stamped on a circle measuring 1½" in Palette Hybrid L'Amore Red ink then raised with pop dots. The sentiment is from the Celebration Time stamp set available in our brand new catalog. All these products are available through The Angel Company. I will add a little shimmer with my glitter gel pens! Hope you like the cards I created! They were a lot of fun to create!

The flowers are in Palette Sunflower and the sentiment is in Palette Noir.I hope you like it! Here is the inside:
