Much to share...

Hey everyone!

In January, the Hostess Club members were supposed to make a birthday book, but I ran out of time for the project. I made a point, last month, to get it done! The books were a hit! I really love making books with my Bind-It-All. The book I made for myself is not going to be a birthday book, since I already have one. You can see it here. I think my book will be my new prayer journal.

The paper is the double-sided More Mimi designer paper from The Angel Company. I really love this paper, if you couldn't tell! LOL Even better, buy a pack of More Mimi and you get one free!!! Gotta love The Angel Company!
These self-adhesive pearls are so fun to accent the scalloped circle. I used my Cricut to make the "B" for the monogram. My husband covered 4 pieces of chipboard for me...he misunderstood what I meant so I just glued two pieces together and voila!... thicker covers! LOL There are no mistakes in paper crafting...only room for creativity! Right?
FINALLY! I got my 5 pound star! I joined Weight Watchers 8 weeks ago and Thursday I finally went over the 5 pound mark for weight loss! Not a lot, I know!!! I am very happy to have reached this goal, not as quickly as I wanted, but I have other benefits that are just as important. I am now eating more! Instead of once a day, I eat two or three meals a day. I drink my water. I have been taking my multi-vitamin and allergy pill regularly. I've been eating a lot more vegetables and increased my fresh fruit intake, as well. I have made better choices and it's sticking so I choose not to freak out over the scales, but days like Thursday: when I got the rewards, it sure is encouraging. My best friend, Heather, has really been such a supportive and encouraging friend. She is the first one to cheer me on, whether I lose ounces or pounds, and she is the first one to remind me that I can do this when I have a bad day...or week! LOL She is a wonderful friend, loving wife and awesome mother of 4! She has the same struggles as I do, in different ways, yet she is beating the scales each week and instead of being smug or judgmental because I am not, she is there to offer her hand to help me try again!! LOVE YOU, HEATHER!!! Oh and you MUST go see her blog. Check it out: here.

Scripture Challenge BLESSED

Hey, everyone!
Today's Scripture Challenge theme is "BLESSED" and though there are many scriptures I could have chosen, I hope the ones I share with you today will encourage you!
God blessed us from the beginning. Right after He created Mankind He blessed them.

Our blessings don't end with us.
We must never give up, but continue to fight the good fight of faith.

Our faith in God is rewarded with blessings because we choose to believe.

When we trust God to help us through we are blessed.

We are blessed when we seek wisdom from God.

God blessed us with many blessings and continues to do so.

I hope you will be blessed by today's Scripture Challenge page.
I created some flourishes on my yellow cardstock with my VersaMark pad and the Swirly Gigs stamp set from The Angel Company. I used some alphabet stickers from my scrapbooking stash to create the title. I didn't want to take away from the text today because I wanted each bullet to stand out and each of the scriptures that back up each of those points.
I keep track of the blessings God has given me in this little notebook I made with my Bind-It-All machine. The paper and punches are from TAC, too. I used the "b" from Scriptybet to make a monogram for Bridgett and for Blessings! I haven't listed everything God has done for me and my family because there is no way I could! He has done SO much!!! But I love looking at this book because it reminds me that God loves and cares for me and it helps me to see the generous hearts of others as they have blessed us!
Here's a look at the inside. May God BLESS you today and always!

NEW YEAR BOOK!

Hey, everyone!

I am excited to show you my New Year Book! I decided that I wanted to create a new book for all my goals this year, like I did last year HERE and HERE. I wanted to keep it SIMPLE though, because that is my new mantra for this year....simplify, simplify, simplify!!! I don't have my book put together yet because I was so excited to show it to you but I will just run it through my Bind-It-All and it will be ready for me to add my goals! Take a look at the front cover:

I created a little fun design on the red cardstock piece with my two holes punches and white gel pen! The white cardstock stickers have been in my scrapbooking stash for a while now! It feels good to use it up!! I think this is my favorite part of the whole book, take a look inside the cover:

Yes, I know, I write uphill when I don't have lines, but I love this scripture and I wanted to include it in my book! Isn't that so fitting for a book of goals for the New Year? The stamps are from a set called Swirly Gigs (The Angel Company) and I just love them! This is the first time I have used them. I added white accents with my gel pen. Here's the first three tabs (stamping, scrapping and knitting):

Here are the next three tabs (health, financial, quality time):

And here's a look at the last three tabs (culinary, home and spiritual):

There's room on each 5"x8" card to write 12 goals for each tab. I chose the number 12 because there are 12 months in a year and hopefully I can set a goal per month and meet it! Less stress and definitely keeping it simple! I don't want to just create goals and not see them through! The back inside cover is kept plain:

I figured I may want to add a motivational quote or scripture, maybe put a pocket there later, or just leave it be. I'm not sure but there's room to change it if I want! And finally the back cover:
The paper is from the Nana's Kids paper pack. I love the bright colors and fun design. It just seemed the perfect paper for a new year! I used my Corner Chomper on the edges using the ½" side and I love how smooth it cuts through all the layers. After I get the book bound, I will take another picture to show you! I hope I have inspired you to create a book, too! You can use the Crop-A-Dile or a hole punch and thread ribbon through the holes to bind it up if you don't have a Bind-It-All machine. You could also alter a notebook that you have lying around...breathe new life into it and use that for your goals. I love having a fresh start each year, but long after the excitement of making resolutions has passed I want to continue reaching my goals so I believe this book will help me do that! We shall see! Have a great day everyone!

My wild streak!

Hey, everyone!
One of the nurses I work with at the hospital asked me if I would make something for her daughter to give to her teacher at school. I showed her some of my projects on my blog and she liked the notepad holder I had created with a gift box. I decided to make something a little different but along those same lines and here is what I came up with:
Her daughter's teacher likes animal print so I had fun using this zebra print!
I filled up this little treat holder with peppermint candy.
I used my Corner Chomper to round the bottom corners of the sticky note holder. I used my Bind-It-All to hold it together and added black and white ribbon to finish it up.
Here's a look of the inside.
Thanks for checking out Hoosier Card Angel's Creations. I hope you'll come back tomorrow!

Our Family Scrapbook Page!

Hey, everyone!

My friend had a scrapbook party at her house! I taught her and her guests how to create a 12x12 scrapbook page using stamp sets from The Angel Company. We had a lot of fun and she was able to get enough orders for DOUBLE hostess benefits! Here is the scrapbook page we created:
This is June's hostess gift I made her with my Bind-It-All machine. I rounded the corners with my awesome Corner Chomper! You have to get one of these!!! I love mine!
I love using our scalloped square punches for a layering effect! Here is a look at the inside:
Thanks for hanging out with me today! Let me know if you would like to book your party this month to take advantage of your double hostess benefits. There are very few openings left this month so be sure you call today if you are considering it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KYLA!

Hey, everyone!!

I gotta give a big shout out to a sweet little birthday girl, Kyla! She is having a sweet celebration and I want her to know Aunt B (yes that is what my family calls me, LOL) and my family in Indiana are thinking of her and wishing her the very best!

Make a wish girl!!!!
This is the notebook I made for her! Her favorite colors are pink and green so I did not hold back! I didn't get a picture of the inside but I alternated the pages to be pink and green too! I used some chipboard and rounded the corners using my Corner Chomper! I totally love it! The scalloped edge on the pink piece is made with our Cloud Scissors and these are another MUST HAVE! They make the prettiest scallops! I used my Bind-It-All to hold the book together! I hope she likes it!!! Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to hop on over to Christina's blog to wish her sweet girl a happy birthday!!!!!!

Days To Remember

Hey, everyone!

I have always been someone who wants to acknowledge my family and friends birthday. Usually I remember everyone's birthdays but sometimes a birthday or anniversary slips by and I feel terrible that I didn't have it written down! Several years ago I created a Birthday and Anniversary Book and titled it Days To Remember! I used graphics I had found online and then created a chart for each day in the month making sure to leave enough space to write several names, if need be. Each month is a two page spread. I used 8½x11 cardstock and printed them out. You could do the same thing but instead of printing graphics I think it would be more fun to stamp your own! I used my Bind-It-All to put the book together and attached ribbons down the binding. Take a look!

You could even add a place for addresses in the back if you wanted to or a folder for cards but I like this way better for me! Hope you like it!!!

What's my password?

Hey, everyone!

Have you ever visited a website, liked what you saw and decided to sign up, make up a User Name and a Password and then time passes and you are logged out of that website for whatever reason and you really need to get back in but forgot your password? Me, too! In fact, sometimes I have signed up more than once because I would forget the User Name I picked and the Password, sometimes I don't even remember the e-mail address I used when signing up. I got tired of that happening to me so I finally did it! I made a password book!! I have wanted to do this for a long time and finally took the time to make one. I cut 2 pieces of chipboard to 5 3/8" x 3½" . I then cut three pieces of pink designer paper to the same size and adhered it to the chipboard. I used a polka dot piece of designer paper for the front cover. This piece measures 4¼" x 3½". The patterned pink piece measures 1¾" x 3½". I glued these pieces down, too. I used my Marvy Clever Lever Scalloped Circle punch to mat the "b" that I had in my monogram alphabet stash. I used Water Lily Green Palette Hybrid Ink to add some texture and shading on the letter. The white dots are made with my white gel pen. The green ribbon with white polka dots is some ribbon I had in my stash and I thought it looked nice with these papers.
Here is a photo of the inside. I used lined 3"x5" index cards. I put them in my Bind-It-All and bound the book together with 5/8" O-wires. There are many different password books out there, some have computer print outs, some are labels you can add yourself. I prefer to leave these blank so I can write whatever I need without limiting my space. You can make yours however you like.
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you had a fabulous Easter. My family and I had a lot of fun. It was not exactly like we had planned but it was still so much fun! Hope you will be back again tomorrow to see what I am sharing for StampTACular Tuesday!

Happy Easter

Hey, everyone!

There are so many wonderful reasons to celebrate today. The main reason is because my Savior lives! I believe Jesus Christ was crucified, buried in a borrowed tomb and rose three days later! Because He lives I can face tomorrow! What a wonderful message of hope! I was going to share with you the scripture I chose for the Divine Design Bible Verse Challenge 09 this month on Thursday but time got away from me. It is a wonderful verse for today's celebration so I will share it with you now.
In this passage of scripture, Jesus is speaking to Martha regarding her brother Lazarus who died and was buried 4 days before. Jesus resurrected Lazarus' body that very day and it was just an awesome example of the power of God! Of course it makes me think of my uncle John and my grandparents, aunt and uncles and other relatives who have fought the good fight of faith, run the race and made heaven their home. With the passing of each precious family member, heaven is much sweeter! The best part will be seeing Jesus and thanking Him for the supreme sacrifice He made to pay for my sins! These pictures were taken at the Creation Museum during our trip on Spring Break. I love the picture of the empty tomb! Click on the photos to enlarge them so you can read the text if you want.
Our Easter is going to start with me and Paul taking our children to church. We will come home and I will finish preparing dinner. My mom and dad, brother, sister and her children will be coming over to eat dinner here with us. We're going to have an Easter egg hunt and I have a back up plan in case of rain! It will be a joyous time. I made some things for my husband's friends' two children.
I put a cardstock alphabet sticker on each candy bar holder to personalize the candy for the kids.
This card is a 3x6 piece of Tutti Frutti paper that I scored at 3" and added the HAPPY EASTER sentiment from the Trendy Greetings stamp set stamped in Burnt Umber ink. I used the chicken from the Hey Chick stamp set using Sunflower Palette Hybrid Ink. I punched it out and layered it onto the Orange designer paper from Kaleidoscope Brites. I then put that layer onto a scalloped square I punched from a piece of yellow cardstock I had. This is all on some foam tape and added to the front of the card along with some ribbon from my stash. I colored the chicken in with my Orange and Yellow Tombow markers and then I adhered some yellow Fun Flock to the chicken on the shaded areas. He is so fuzzy and my son just loves touching the "chickies"! It's so funny!
I put two Easter egg popcorn balls inside with a belly band around each. I stamped HAPPY EASTER from the Trendy Greetings stamp set on the center of each. I added the candy bars and the card I made. This is all sitting on top of some Easter grass inside this cute little Easter bag I made them. The chick is fuzzy with yellow Fun Flock. We sell the Fun Flock in our catalog in many different colors and it would be great with those lamb, sheep, chicken and bunny stamps we have! Enjoy your holiday and remember why we celebrate! The tomb is empty and Jesus is alive forevermore!

StampTACular Tuesday Challenge

Hey, everyone!

It's time for another StampTACular Tuesday and if you haven't noticed I started doing the weekly challenges a little differently this month. I am featuring a GWP stamp that is retired and this week I want to feature some of our paper, too! This week's theme is BIRTHDAY and my friend CHRISTINA'S daughter, Michelle, is having a birthday in just a couple days. Happy Early Birthday, Michelle! I wanted to send her a birthday card and thought that she might like her own notebook, too. She can make it anything she wants.

I put an "M" monogram on the front of the notebook and then added Prisma Glitter on top so the "M" is really sparkly. The butterflies are foam stickers and so fun! I left some blank space so Michelle can personalize it more if she wants to.
The pages inside are lined 3"x5" index cards. I am using the TAC paper Kaleidoscope Brites and decided to make a small border at the top of each index card. She can add tabs to the pages or leave them as is.
I hope she likes it and I hope you all do, too! It was so fun and easy to make. I made two chipboard covers measuring 3½" x 5½" with 4 pieces of Kaleidoscope Brites cut to the same size. The O-Wires are 5/8" and I made the book with my Bind-It-All. Thanks for stopping by to see what I made today. Don't forget to check out Christina's blog where she has a really pretty birthday card up using one of the TAC stamp sets Love and Laughter! Tomorrow I will have my Scripture Challenge page up and I have some fun things to show you towards the end of the week. You should get your copy of my monthly newsletter today. There are some fun specials included that is available to all my subscribers. Let me know if you need help signing up for it!

BVC09 MARCH VERSE

Hey, everyone!

First let me just say, if you know of someone that was affected by the tornado last night, please know that I am praying for all the victims and my heart really goes out to them! It is so devastating and I cannot even imagine losing my home! To think you may be sitting down to dinner one minute and it's all gone the next...my prayers are with them all!! Please stay safe tonight...the news reports are saying "Part Two" of what happened last night will be coming this way between 3 and 6 a.m.

Today's post is for my Bible Verse Challenge (BVC09). The birds are singing outside the window here and the weather has been very warm lately so I am hoping spring is near! The verse I chose for the month of March is found in Isaiah 45:8.
If you cannot read this very well from the picture the scripture reads:
Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness:
let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the LORD have created it.
Thanks for checking in with me today! I will post the StampTACular Tuesday Challenge tomorrow! Christina will have something awesome to share, too!!! Don't miss it!

Hugs,
