Purple Flowers For Christina

Hey everyone!

Today is Saturday and that means:

 

I have the Fun Flowers Stampin' Up! die and Big Shot machine.

I love the beautiful flowers I can create with it. I have made several flowers from paper but it's even more fun using felt! My sweet friend, Christina reads my blog and I know she will see this post before she gets her package from me but I just had to share this cute little magnet I made her! Her favorite color is purple so she will love it I am sure!

Here's a close-up of the button magnet I attached to the back. It's self-adhesive so it was very simple to assemble.

I have made these fun flower magnets in so many different colors. The floral die and Big Shot machine make creating these flowers a breeze. You can cut through several layers of fabric at a time and they are perfect for layering multiple colors. I have used these to make headbands and barrettes in my daughter's school colors, too. It's so much fun! These make wonderful tuck-ins for gifts on any occasion. Mother's Day is tomorrow so why not create these for the wonderful mothers in your life.

St. Patrick's Day is next week! I am so excited. It's one of my most favorite holidays. My kids and I will be making cookies with green frosting again this year. Love that cookie making tradition. I think I will be going HERE for more fun ideas to celebrate! I am also having a FunShop for June L. on Wednesday so I am definitely looking forward to that!

Free Handwriting Fonts

Hey, everyone!

The stomach bug has hit the Owens' household and only the children (at this point) have been affected! :( So nothing new to show today! I am getting ready to scrub down the bathroom!!! But I do want to share something fun and FREE with you all!!! I love handwriting fonts, and I found a blog that has so generously offered a LOT of free fonts! It's August???

Hey, everyone!

I have been so busy lately that when my mom and my daughter were talking the other day about it being August 3 I was like WHAT? It's not August yet is it? They said YES! I couldn't believe it! I have been away on a get-away camping and came back to help take care of my brother. I haven't been home much at all and so August quietly began without me and didn't plan on waiting for me to realize that July was over! YIKES!!! School sign-ups are next week!!! How can this be?

Paper Dolls

Hey, everyone!

Summer vacation has begun already here. Many other schools are letting out for the summer, too. You ever hear (or think) "I'm bored!" or groans of having nothing fun to do? Well I know my 7 year old will NOT be watching television all day every day so instead of hearing the famous "I'm bored" comments, I have a great idea for a FREE FUN ACTIVITY! This all thanks to Melanie Montes de Oca. She has a FABULOUS fun activity that will be so much fun all summer long!

Melanie has created this beautiful paper doll that you can color and she stands up, too! The outfits are so sweet, too, because you can make them in any patterned paper or whatever you choose! Best of all they are all FREE! Just CLICK HERE to download them!

StampTACular Tuesday Challenge GOT A MATCH?

Hey, everyone!

Today I am back with another StampTACular Tuesday Challenge! The challenge for today is to make a matchbook card! These are so fun to make and are so cute! They open up like a book of matches, thus the name! Christina has created a card, also and it is awesome! You won't want to miss it.

I want to tell you a little bit more about my card! The black cardstock can be purchased from your TAC Angel. The item # is V-215 for the 8½x11 or V-246 for the 12x12. The cream colored cardstock was something I had in my stash and I printed the FREE DOWNLOAD paper from TAC! Isn't it cute? I love it. These downloads are all FREE and you can print them on white cardstock, regular copy paper, colored paper or whatever! Use the whole sheet or cut it up! There are lots of options! I cut my image out with the 2½" Mega Scalloped Circle punch, item # D-700. The stamp set is from the new Serendipity magalogue which is for spring/summer 2009. It's called Dear Friend and is item # R-2039. You get six stamps for under $10! That is awesome! The holes are punched with my Crop-A-Dile. It's item # K-100.

My inspiration for today's card is from my upline's upline...Rita! Go see her matchbook card and enjoy checking her wonderful blog. Then leave me a comment and let me know if you are going to make one of these cards! The measurements are 4½x11 and you score at 4 5/8" and 10". Decorate as you desire. I'd love to see what you can come up with using The Angel Company stamps! I will have a special drawing for anyone who participates in this month's StampTACular Tuesday Challenges! It will be a lot of fun. The prize is going to be a complete surprise to all of you so you will have to wait until the end of the month to see what it is!
