Closet Makeover: Before and After!

Hey everyone!

It's finally Friday. I am working a 12 hour day shift today and anyone that knows me knows what a challenge that will be! But I am sure it will be fine! My sister is visiting from Tennessee with her husband and son so I hope to spend a little time with them on Sunday ... Mother's Day!

Do you remember the theme for today?
free glitter text and family website at FamilyLobby.com
I am excited because I have a guest blogger celebrating with me! She is a sweet and dear friend. You will hear me speak of Christina many times!! You can visit her blog here:

I love before and after photos. I just love to see the transformation something can have when a little love and attention is given. My entry way closet was a horrid mess! It became a sort of catch-all. It certainly did not function as a useful space and although a couple of coats were hung in the closet, they were rarely worn and so the closet was not serving any real purpose other than to collect junk!

I told you on Wednesday that I love Pinterest. I truly do. There are so many great closet storage ideas there and I have been truly inspired by many of the photos I have pinned. So I decided to take a little time and make a list of what I needed to get organized. I sent my husband to the store with said list but he found something far better and much cheaper so of course I was very happy! He even was sweet enough to put it together and install it for me. So without further adieu, here is the ugly before and the pretty after!

I know! STOP! Enough! Right? It was messy and did not function for our needs at all! So here is the new solution. Keep in mind that it's a work in progress, so it's not totally finished but it's much better than it was before!

Thanks for hanging out with Christina and me today! Hope you were inspired to finish something on your to-do list today!

Mini Angel Blog Hop

Hey, everyone!

I have a sneak peek to show you! It's an image from one of our yet-to-be-released stamp sets called Oh No She Didn't. Isn't that so fun? Sassy and full of attitude! The images were sent to me from Shirley and they are soooo cute! Here is my card:

I used Kraft cardstock, Cha Cha dp from TAC and some white cardstock. I used my Fiskars Threading Water border punch for the dp piece. I added white doodle dots and faux stitching with my favorite white pen! I colored the image with Copics, Bic MarkIts and Tombow Brights. The card measures 4x8 and scored at 4. Isn't she cute? I made her a little red head! But I know you want to see more!! Hop on over to Shirley and Chelsea's blogs to see their cute creations! You will not want to miss it!

Mega Blog Hop!

Hey, everyone!

Welcome to June! WOW! I am seriously shocked that school will be out in ONE more day and summer vacation will start! I have a few goals for June that I would definitely like to make happen and if I do, I will share them here! In the meantime, I won't be online much the rest of this week, so I thought you might want to do some blog hopping! I joined this blog hop (I'm #123) but I have to admit I haven't hopped to all of these because there's a LOT to visit but it should be a great resource to refer to as you find yourself needing inspiration! Good luck and have fun!

Angel Blog Hopping!!

Hey, everyone!!!

Wow! What a weekend! I had so much fun at the Crop A Little Love event on Saturday and so did my daughter! She and I made cards and I was able to organize all my TAC paper packs with the scraps from each pack! I got a lot done and it felt great! I was honored to be asked to come and be a vendor for Melissa Bierlein's crop! Here's a photo of the GWP stamps I donated for the goodie bags!
Kadesia really enjoyed herself:
She got to use up all the leftover make 'n take kits to create some Valentine's for her class. Her party is next month so she got a head start and I think she was able to make about half of the amount she needs! She's a little worker bee with the Scor-Pal and the kits!
She was a complete angel for me all day! Even though she had to get up early on a Saturday and be up really late. She was helpful and pleasant all day! I am so proud of her! She even demonstrated the make 'n take project for a couple of the ladies.
I would have been able to share these photos today but I had computer issues and finally got that all resolved this evening. That means I wasn't able to participate in the first Angel Blog Hop of this year!! I still want to show you what I made and share the links of the other Angels with you! Be sure you check out all their amazing Valentine's Day Treats creations. We were going to share Valentine's Day themed projects like treat holders, recipe cards, scrapbook layouts, cards, altered art and home decor items to inspire you all to make a sweet treat for someone you love! I made a 2, 4, 6, 8 box from a piece of Miss Moxie designer paper from The Angel Company. I used a tag from the Miss Moxie dp and stamped it with the "Forget Me Not" sentiment from the Squiggle Ladybugs stamp set. I used Noir Palette Hybrid ink. Hope you like it!
I used the tutorial from Jen Young. It would make an adorable party favor, don't you think? Here are the links to even more inspiring projects:
Have fun hopping!

World Card Making Day

Hey, everyone!

It's World Card Making Day! I am so excited to share this card with all of you. If this is your first visit with me at Hoosier Card Angel's Creations, I want to thank you for coming and welcome you back again! Please leave me a comment and let me know this is your first visit! There are lots of card makers sharing their great creations with you today. Click on the WCMD banner to see all the links!
I wasn't sure what card to make today so I used a sketch from Mojo Monday:
Here is my interpretation for this week's sketch:
I used stamps from The Angel Company to create my card (Sprigs, Butterfly Swirls and Trendy Greetings). I embossed the swirls and sentiment with VersaMark and black embossing powder. I rounded the corners on the piece I attached ribbon to using my Corner Chomper on the ½" side. The swirls and sentiment have some dimension with pop dots raising these panels up. The ink I used is Orangerie and the designer paper is now retired from TAC.
I had fun showing you my card today. Leave me a link to your card, too, so I can check it out! If you're in, or near, Bedford, Indiana today from 1 p.m. until around 3 p.m. feel free to come by my house. You can call or e-mail me for directions. I'm having a FREE stamping event in my home. Hope to see you there!

Honest Scrap

Hey, everyone!

I just want to share a special award my dear friend Teresa gave me. Go check out her blog: it's awesome! She gave me this award:Here is what she said about why she chose me:

Bridgett: my wonderful The Angel Company "angel" and friend; she has an inspiring blog that really reflects her generous soul.

There are a few requirements to accepting the Honest Scrap Award and they are as follows:
1) I must thank the person who gave me the award and list their blog and link.

So, thank you very much Teresa!

2) I must list 10 honest things about myself.

#1 I am very glad I decided to start taking better care of myself now but it is a hard choice to make sometimes because it feels selfish.

#2 I recognize that I make excuses for not trying difficult tasks at times but I am making a point to face these challenges head on and do my best regardless of the outcome.

#3 It still hurts a lot to think about my Uncle John. I miss him so much and it's very hard to visit my aunt and cousins without him there.

#4 I fell in love with my husband all over again! I don't know when the changes in both of us started taking place but I am thankful!

#5 I am directionally challenged. My husband has to navigate wherever we go...even though I do try!

#6 I have some projects in the works and I am going to be thrilled to get the recordings over with and have the finished product in my hands!

#7 I am eager to go on vacation for our anniversary in September but a little nervous about meeting my goal of losing 40 pounds by then. I hope I can do it!

#8 I am thinking of taking some college courses in the fall.

#9 My dream is to go to Ireland and someday I hope it happens!

#10 I will be so glad when I am finished cleaning each room, closet, cupboard, shelf, drawer, nook and cranny in my house and hopefully we'll have a LOT less in each space!

3) Now I am supposed to pass this blog award to 5 other people, so here they are:

1. CHRISTINA because not only is she an amazing friend, she is also a rockin' paper crafter! She has awesome projects on her blog. Go check it out and leave her some love!

2. BARB because she is an awesome Angel. She is helpful and caring and wonderful. She is uber talented and once you read her blog, you'll want to follow her!

3. STACY because I love all of her work! She inspires me so much and after seeing her scrapbook pages, cards and other paper crafts I am eager to get my supplies out, too!

4. MELISA because she has never ceased to surprise me with her amazing paper crafting. She creates exquisite art and I love to see her enthusiasm for The Angel Company!

5. VICKI because she has the best tutorials, is an amazing Angel and has a terrific blog!

I am getting more batteries for my camera tonight so hopefully I can share some projects with you! My printer is down so I can't use it with my memory card! Thanks for hanging out with me today!

Father's Day Angel Blog Hop

Hey, everyone!

It's time for another Angel Blog Hop! The theme is FATHER'S DAY! I decided to make a fun card for my husband that reflected my kids....so I grabbed some stamps and here is what I came up with:The purple designer paper is the retired Gentle Beginnings. I love that paper!!! The Butterfly Kisses is from the Kid Praises stamp set (now 25% off on the Retired List). I picked this stamp to reflect my daughter because she always gives her daddy butterfly kisses and her room is decorated in pink and purple. The dinosaur is from the same set (order it soon if this is on your wish list before it's too late to order it anymore). My son loves dinosaurs and I know Paul will like the dino. Javan loves green so I picked some green and yellow to make it more fun! I stamped the "for you" sentiment from the Dear Friend stamp set in our Serendipity Catalog. I love it! It's a great set!!! The "you are" sentiment is from the YOU ARE stamp set also found in Serendipity. Then I put "dad" at the top of the card. It's stamped with the Viridian Leaf and Iris Palette Hybrid ink pads. I used the Scriptybet stamp set for that. I doodled some images inside the letters for a fun effect since the kids are giving it to him. The cardstock is cut at 4¼"x11" and scored at 5½". StampTACular Tuesday Challenge RECIPE HOLDERS

Hey, everyone!

I cannot believe today is the last day of school here. It would have already ended but the kids had to make up the days they missed due to the weather this winter. I'm picking my daughter up at lunch and her summer vacation will start! Tonight is my daughter's first night of her ADVANCED class in gymnastics! She is very excited and I am glad for the change in schedule...different night of the week and at a later time! I am very proud of her! All her hard work is paying off!

Today, Christina and I have made something really fun for the StampTACular Tuesday Challenge. We hope you'll join us! Leave us a comment and a link to show us what you've made. Today's Challenge is RECIPE HOLDERS! Here's mine:

I used 2 pieces of matboard glued together with a glue stick and left to dry. Then I adhered a piece of black cardstock to front and back. The base measures 4½" x 6½" and then I layered on a piece of Winterberry designer paper. The alphabet stickers are from the Kaleidoscope Brites pack and matted with Premium White Cardstock. All these supplies are available through The Angel Company! I then took a piece of Winterberry and added it to my binder clip along with some ribbon from my stash. My daughter swept a layer of Mod Podge along the edges and top so it would be stain resistant and more durable.

This is another way it can hold a recipe...with the clip on the side. I think it will be a lot of fun to use in the kitchen! What do you think of this project? Be sure to go check out Christina's blog for her awesome project!

I thought I'd share the Breakfast Pizza recipe (seen in the picture above). I've never tried it yet but it may be something we can try this summer! It sure sounds like a yummy breakfast item!

BREAKFAST PIZZA
6 SERVINGS
1 (10 oz.) can refrigerated biscuit dough
½ lb. bacon slices
2 tablespoons margarine or butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
¼ teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1½ cups milk
½ cup (2 oz.) shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
¼ cup sliced green onions
¼ cup chopped red bell pepper
Preheat oven to 350* F. Spray 13"x9" baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
Separate biscuit dough and arrange side by side in rectangle on lightly floured surface without overlapping. Roll into 14"x10" rectangle.
Place in prepared dish; pat edges up sides of dish.
Bake 15 minutes. Remove from oven and set aside.
Meanwhile, place bacon in single layer in large skillet; cook over medium heat until crisp. Remove from skillet, drain on paper towels. Crumble and set aside.
Melt margarine in medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir in flour, salt and black pepper until smooth. Gradually stir in milk; cook and stir until thickened. Stir in cheese until melted.
Spread sauce evenly over baked crust. Sprinkle bacon, green onions and bell pepper over sauce.
Bake, uncovered, 20 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
Hope you enjoy your day! I am excited about starting the summer fun!!! Be sure you come back again tomorrow when Christina and I share our Scripture Challenge scrapbook pages! You will not want to miss it!

Gifts for Mother's Day!

Hey, everyone!

Today's StampTACular Tuesday Challenge is a little different than usual. Today, Christina and I are making mini albums for our mothers-in-law. I know they will enjoy receiving these on Mother's Day! Here is the mini album I made.
The stamps are from The Angel Company: Sprigs and You Are. Be sure you go to Christina's blog to check out her mini-album!
My mom told me she wanted me to make her a dishwasher magnet that said CLEAN and DIRTY. I thought OKAY! So here it is...
Gotta love those Stardust Glitter Gel Pens! The pig stamp is from a former TAC Stamp of the Month. I sponged him in Burnt Umber for a dirty look. I used my Chestnut Memory Marker for coloring in the word DIRTY and the "mud" beneath the pig. I used my Pink Brights Tombow marker to color in the pig and my Stardust Glitter Gel Pens to create some shimmer. I hope she likes this magnet! Tomorrow is my Scripture Challenge and Christina will be sharing her page on her blog, too. I have a few more things to share with you, too, so be sure to hang out with me again tomorrow!

Hugs,
