What's In My Purse?

Hey, everyone!

I have watched a lot of YouTube videos where women show all the contents of their purse or handbag and how it is all organized. I enjoy watching them because sometimes other people have different things they carry with them that I just do not ever think to bring along. Often I have found creative ways to organize items in my purse that seem to fall to the bottom of the bag and get lost, or spill out and make a mess... So I thought I would share what is in my purse and how I have found a solution that works well for me in keeping things neat and organized.

The biggest tip I can give for finding a purse/handbag to stay organized is to find one that has a lot of pockets/compartments and enough room for everything you want to carry. Another idea is to use small cosmetic bags or zippered pouches to keep similar items together and keep things organized. If you just love a purse/handbag and it doesn't have a lot of pockets, you can get a purse organizer online or in some stores. They offer additional organization and just fits down inside your purse. I happened to find a really great purse at a local store that supports persons with disabilities. Here is my purse:
This is the front with 2 pockets and 2 more pockets on each side.
This is the back with a large pocket secured with velcro.
Closer look inside my purse!
And a final look inside.

I purchased my purse from the First Chance Center in Paoli, Indiana. You definitely must check them out! FCC's mission is to promote abilities and provide opportunities for persons with disabilities or other barriers to fully participate in their community.

My new purse!

Hey everyone!

I am so excited to have you all stopping by each day. I hope you are enjoying the different themes. Today is the first Saturday in May which I have declared as:
free glitter text and family website at FamilyLobby.com

First, let me just explain that I have looked in several stores and online to find a purse. I don't carry the same purse for a long time so I don't want to spend much when I have to buy one. I don't trade them out as often as I used to but I don't hang on to them, either. I love to have pockets and compartments for all of the things I carry in my purse. Tonight I finally found a purse I was willing to buy. I spent more on it than I wanted to but I do love it.

Here is a photo of my new purse!
It does not have a shoulder strap on it and I was kind of bummed at first but the handles are big enough to fit on my shoulder so I am happy!
The front of the purse has a big, deep pocket with a twist-clasp closure. I have my keys in there. The sides have pockets as well. I have highlighters in one side and then pens and pencils in the other.
The back of the purse has another pocket with a zipper closure. I have nothing in there yet but I will probably put gum and candy in there.
The inside has two small pockets without closures. I have a notebook in the bigger one and nothing in the other yet. There are two deep sections on either side of the zippered center. I have my billfold in the center. Different pouches I have are in those deep sections. There is another pocket with a zippered closure and I don't have anything in it either, yet.
The bottom of the purse is big and sturdy. It allows for the purse to stand upright. I love the texture, too.
The bag retailed for $80.00 but the Shoe Dept.'s price was half of that and I paid $29.98 like the sticker shows. Of course I don't think that is a wonderful deal but it isn't too bad and compared to some of the purses on the market out there it is cheap! LOL But I will definitely hold on to this purse a lot longer than I would have another purse because of the price.
I wanted to show one final picture of the purse zipped closed. I love that I can zip it all up and no one can see all of the things I have inside!

What do you look for in a purse? Do the prices of purses send you into sticker shock when you are you shopping? Have you found a purse at a bargain price?

Hugs,
