I used this week's sensational octagonal themed sketch at Stamp with fun as a basis for my card. I had to change the sketch a little as the gems would not have stood out on the spotted card, but I did try quite hard to stick as closely as I could to the sketch. One of the diagonal pieces is embossed and the other is jet black glitter card which is not showing its true beauty in the photo.
The nurse stamp and the little first aid bag are from a fun set by Woodware - love this set there is a doctor too and some cute little sentiments.
My other card today is another for Laura - this time it's one for my mum to give her. The image is from a clip art set by PC Crafter and of course there is lots of pink card and bling.
Hope you like my cards and for all those nurses out there working those killing double shifts thank you for all you do and I hope even if you are working you have a lovely day.
I have one more card to do - I happened to mention on my hospital visit to my Auntie today that Nurse's day was coming up and she asked me to make a card for her to give the nurses on her ward.

I had no idea there was a nurse's day either. Perhaps they'll have a pensioner's day soon. lol. I'm sure Laura will love all these cards and it must be great being able to make several cards and know she's going to get them all.

You may wonder why you have a comment from Dain. I am his mom and I gave you my comment under his name because I didn't know he was signed in on my computer. Martha Kay, aka, theneon
I remember you getting into trouble last year ... oh boy! ... but you have more than made up for it this year and how sweet that your Aunt wants one for her wee nurses too. They deserve all the rewcognition they get for the job they do.

These cards are great Ann. I particularly like the octagonal one. I've never heard of Nurse's Day. If anyone deserves a special day to acknowledge what they do it's nurses. I think that Woodware stamp set might prove useful to me as both my son and daughter-in-law are doctors!
