Christmas Cuttlebug Card...

Having a great time in Sunderland and have been having a play with Irene's cuttlebug folders. This is one of my finished cards I've made while playing.
The inspiration for this came from a card that Irene made the other week - she is incredibly clever at using two cuttlebug folders together and has passed the skill on to me. Well that's what friends are for isn't it?

Pink - Green - and Blue...

At http://stampchallenges.blogspot.com/ the challenge is colour based and the palette allowed is pink, green and blue. I already had this cute bear (a recent ebay purchase - oh I love ebay) coloured in blue and green so I got out my pink and green papers and card and made this card.
The green embossed background was made using a Fiskar's embossing board.

Tags...

Our challenge this week at Ooh-la-la-Creations is tags and there is a whole host of tags as a blog candy prize for one lucky person who enters the challenge. Do pop over over there and have a look.

There is also a few notes (I won't call it a tutorial cause I'm not that professional) and pictures showing how to create a tag folder card like the ones above.

All the images and rose background paper I used are from the 'Passion for Fashion' CD by Ooh-la-la-Creations.

Christmas at My time to craft...

Lots of challenge blogs are encouraging us to start early on our Christmas cards and I just think this is such a good idea. Like many other crafters, last year I got myself into a real panic trying to make my own cards and special commissioned ones for other people.

Thanks to various challenges Christmas this year will be a doddle (famous last words!). My card for the challenge at http://www.mytimetocraftchallenge.blogspot.com/ has a tartan theme. The image is one from the Passion for Fashion CD by Ooh-la-la-Creations and the tartan backing paper and tag are by Kanban. The red vellum is also by Kanban - I love the effect of vellum over a pattern so that you can see the pattern but it's not as 'in your face'.

Thank you so much to great friends who have become followers of my blog. Love having you around.
