Chocolate lover...

Crafters can be very strange people.  As soon as I saw the block of chocolate water pistol fall out of my son in law's Christmas Cracker I knew I wanted it and why.  A trade occurred and he got my heart shaped useless keyring and I became the happy owner of some plastic chocolate, which now has pride of place on this birthday card ordered for a choc addict.

Other Materials...
  • Joanna Sheen - Fashion Boutique CD
  • gold mirri card and plain 8" x 8" burgundy paper
  • card base
  • lace doily (charity shop find)
  • plastic bar of chocolate
  • lace and organza ribbon
Challenges...
Have a fabulous weekend everyone.

Another little notebook...

I'm getting really hooked on making these for people.  This one was posted off as a little gift for Claire's birthday.
To create it I used a digi image by Lavinia Stamps.  Love these mushrooms - would love the real stamp too - maybe at the next show I'll invest.  I used Sakura Stardust pens to colour and then added glitter for extra sparkle and mat and layered on a scrap of fab glitter card left from another project.  The photo really does not do the glitteryness justice at all.
Inside the notebook I attached a tiny calender which I thought might be useful to have to hand in a little book like this.

Challenges...
Off to do some crafting today.  Need quite a few birthday cards and a new home so plenty to go at.  Have a good day whatever you are up to.

More altered dictionary fun...

I think when my daughter discovers what I am up to she will finally accept that I'm cracking up.  It's such a weird concept changing a perfectly good dictionary, but then again it's such fun and I'm not the only one crazy enough to enjoy it so what the heck.  Carry on being crazy is what I say!
I'm not even using an English dictionary, but one I bought some time ago when I was learning Italian.  I didn't get very far, but at least doing this I am learning some new words.  Not sure how useful 'una renna' and 'un galletto' (cockerel) will be though.
Today's page uses the crazy little stamp that Sir Stampalot sent in my box of sale goodies.  It's Penny Black so it stamps beautifully, but I'm not so used to stamping on to open books so I'm pressing on a bit hard at the moment and smudging the print.  It's not easy holding a book open with one hand and stamping with the other.  Oh the trials we crafters go through.
Challenges...
Have a great day everyone.

Happy Birthday Claire...

Leaving it too late to post a card is not good, but at least sending a digital card till the real thing arrives makes up a little bit.  The card was created in Craft Artist using the Frou Frou CD for backing papers and image.  Even though I have used the shadow tool - decoupaged the lady and done some fancy footwork with the text I'm not entirely happy with the card - sometimes you just can't beat the real thing!  So sorry Claire, but the real thing will soon be winging it's way to you.
If you want to wish Claire happy birthday and be blown away by her stunning cards and projects visit her here at Claire's Crafty Creations - you won't be disappointed she is incredibly talented.

Challenges...
Have a great week everyone especially Claire - party time!
