Venetian birthday...

There is a great challenge over at Polkadoodles with a fabulous prize so I've got everything crossed that I possibly can and still manage to type.  My card was created using some papers and an image from one the Debbie Moore magazines from way back.  I don't actually use much of her stuff but this image was one I quite liked and I must admit I think my original intentions were to do some scrapbooking with the papers.

• tons of gem stones applied to black die cut oval
• die cut tag, black organza ribbon and gold peel offs

Mum's the word...

I've been really busy making Mother's Day cards this year as both daughters wanted one for their partner's Mums and of course I'm lucky enough to still have my mum around even if she is not quite with us.  Today I'm showing a large card created using my Silhouette - really been into using that lately.
I chose to use a file called butterfly lace square card from the Silhouette Store but I resized it to fit nicely on an 8 by 8 card and just used the lace part.  Very intricate but it did cut beautifully.

Top Tip Tuesday...

I really don't know whether anyone ever reads my Tuesday posts, but not to worry I'm exceptionally good at talking to myself and sometimes I even get replies!

Today I'm showing off a gorgeous little rotating storage container I picked up at the Charity Shop where I volunteer and my top tip today is check out Charity Shops they have such hidden gems in them.  

I've now filled each of the containers with jewels and stuff and it looks great on my desk or at least it does when not buried in a pile of  paper scraps and DST waste!
