Dinosaurs rule...

or at least they do in my grandson's world.  So with his fourth birthday coming up what else could I put on one of his cards but a huge T-Rex?

Our challenge at My Time to Craft this week is the dreaded male cards!!  I must admit I sometimes find adult male cards quite tricky to decide on a theme for, but kiddy ones can be so much fun.  I love making them for the grandchildren, which is just as well as I have two more to make before next Thursday.
Today's card was created using a Krafty Hands CD that I bought some time ago after seeing it on the British Craft Network TV.  It has a really good choice of both backing papers and different dinosaurs on it so a really good buy.
I tend not to print out the papers as they are on the CD but transfer the images to Serif Craft Artist to plan out the design and decide on which pieces I need to print.  This design is decoupaged although you really can't tell that much in the photo.
It's my second week of being a guest on the team at My Time to Craft and I'm really enjoying it.  I visited so many blogs last week and saw some stunning work.  I hope to see even more great stuff this week so get out your 'man' stash and start creating.  It's getting really close to Father's Day so this is a good chance to be prepared.

Hope you have time to join in our challenge and all the other great ones out there - looking forward to seeing your creations - hope you like mine!
Have a great weekend.

Play Time for Alexander...

It's so long since I did any scrap pages that I'm really out of practice and I've got so many gorgeous photos to use too.  So easy to fall into the trap of being overwhelmed by it all so today I've made a start and intend to do more as the week goes on.

To create this page about my grandson, Alexander, I used Serif Craft Artist and a really bright digi kit from my collection.  My plan for the page came from Sketches in Thyme where the new challenge involves using this fabulous sketch by Bev Code.

Thank you Bev it was a cool sketch to work with.
