Hello friends, it's a new challenge at Shopping Our Stash, Holly and Ivy which means use Christmas plants, and greenery (trees, poinsettias, boughs and mistletoe and of course Holly which is the winning greenery. I did look at poinsettias and mistletoe but when I saw an already printed image I knew I needed to do it (a friend loves Cardinals) And voila another Holiday card done. And my stash item is the image, and the plaid scrap.

Holly and Ivy
I am not sure who's digi this is as it was already printed, I have made the same image as a Birthday card but just added flowers where the holly is. This is a 5 1/2 inch square card and the focal point is elevated. Joy is flat attached.
Close up of the Cardinal pair.
Finished the inside with a couple of leftover scraps and a Hero Arts sentiment circa 2002 one of my first holiday sentiments. I love the font.

A Cardinal for May Rudolph Days!!
Hello crafty peeps! I finally got my card finished for Rudolph Days, I'm not as late as usual though. It's been a hectic week, first the Victoria day weekend I didn't go to the cottage until the Monday holiday as I had a major leak in the plumbing, I had water but not running in the cottage. I don't mind roughing it but I then found out because I had the phone disconnected I had no internet either. Plumber has been called internet provider has been called now it's a waiting game. This weekend I wasn't going down as for some reason we are back to "almost" winter (I caved and put the furnace back on) The break will give me more time to organize my crafting supplies to take with me next trip. On with my card.
The stamp I used is from Rubber Stampede and I'm sure I bought it at Michaels a long time ago, it's one of my favourite cardinal stamps, I made a 5 1/4 inch square vanilla base. The patterned paper is Cabin Fever from Carta Bella, and the plaid layer is a left over scrap from the Gnome slimline card. Both the image and the plaid are backed with a square die cut in red. The patterned paper is backed with a green layer. With scraps of red and green I added a poinsettia
.
Question, what is your opinion on the plaid and floral on the same card?
Close up of the main image.
Finished the inside with a wood block Hero Arts sentiment that has to be close to 20 years old, and a red off cut and a small poinsettia.
I'm entering this in:
Thanks for visiting today and have a crafty week. P.S. there is still time to get your card for the challenge done.

Challenge #217 ~~ Put a Bird on it!!
Happy Tuesday!!! Shopping Our Stash has a new challenge and it's Put a Bird On It!! Now I do have a few bird stamps and a punch but I really wanted to do something different. A friend asks me to make cards for her and always asks for a Cardinal, well any image or stamp is for a winter card or Christmas and I wanted one for her birthday which is in the summer so took the image and added flowers over the holly leaves and berries. I stamped and fussy cut every single flower and leaf. I'm pleased with it how about you?
A fancy frame and a few rhinestones and it's perfect.
Close up of the flowers,
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you will show us your project with a bird on it.
