Calling All Gamers!!!

Welcome friends, followers and family!! It's a really quick post from me today as Seize the Birthday is winding up the challenge today and I just realized the card I made for my grandson was also supposed to be put on the challenge. I got rather wrapped up with the cable not working and waiting for them to come finally called and rescheduled until today, they were not very accommodating. I also had the cottage to close up although the weather was so nice it was really hard to do it. Now all my crafting things are back at home, next step to find there original homes.  Here is my gamer card.

It is a set of dies and quite fiddly to play with but I'm happy with the results. The 4 dots on the controllers are pearls from Eyelet Outlet, since I didn't have black pearls (they were at home) I coloured the gold ones with a dark grey copic marker. Happy Birthday was cut from the same silver paper as the controller.

Close up of the controllers, Next time I make them the circles will be cut with double sided tape on the cardstock or run them through the sticker maker, I think I had more glue on me than the die cut.

The inside was finished with a Hero Arts sentiment (one of the first I bought) and a strip of the patterned paper.

I'm entering this in:

U Rock!!!

Another Tuesday has rolled around,  and my day to post on the Eyelet Outlet Blog.  Today I have a totally "boy" card for you to see. I'm really on the 5 1/4 square card band wagon lately and this one is just that. First I took a tip from Stephanie (check out her blog below mine on the EO blog) I covered a 5 X 5 piece of cardstock with silver star washi tape from the Eyelet Outlet Store, popped the rock star boy (bugaboo) up in the corner and added the U ROCK letters.

As you see it isn't the easiest card to get a picture of but it looks so awesome.  I added the gold stars  from a enamel dots & stars package from the Eyelet Outlet Store.  What would a music card be without music notes? Well I added the music note brads also from the Eyelet Outlet Store. Check them out for all your embellishment needs you will be amazed at the selection of brads, enamel dots and washi tape.

See the awesome music brads and enamel stars.

Garden Helper

It's Tuesday and my day to post on the Eyelet Outlet Blog.  As the title says it's all about the garden and I have a cute little helper to showcase the  gardening brads from the Eyelet Outlet & Brad Store.

Sorry for the "overcast" picture but there isn't a good way to take the picture with the rainy, overcast weather the last few days. First I added some  Coloring Book Washi Tape, leaf pattern to the blue cardstock, then stitched on it,  The cute image is from Stitchy stamps,

I wanted to make a cute scene but I didn't have any flower brads so I used lollipop brads from the Eyelet Outlet and added some cardstock flowers behind them and coloured the stick with a copic marker.  I also added a couple of colourful butterflies also from the Eyelet Outlet.

What would a gardening card be without the super cute garden tool brads and the straw hat brad both are from the Eyelet Outlet Store.

Sandcastle, pail and shovel, loader ~~~ where am I?

Tuesday and my time to post on the Eyelet Outlet Blog, as soon as I saw the new spring collection of brads I knew I wanted to make a Seaside scene using the Sandcastle, they are so cute and in the Eyelet Outlet Store now!!!

We spent time camping when our boys were young and I know playtime at the beach includes big trucks, bucket and shovel and seashells and the latter would have been picked up to throw at the brother. I did use a strip of skinny washi tape on a flat spot where the embossing folder didn't quite reach.  Have you heard that there are no mistakes in crafting only opportunities to embellish.

The bucket and shovels are in primary colours and the work trucks are three different designs.

Sandcastle and seashell close-up.

Every beach comes complete with seagulls and these are just adorable and they come in two different designs, flying and standing.

Summer will soon be upon us and what great beach brads to add to any of your summer holiday scrapbook pages.

Thanks for visiting today and happy crafting.

A Turtle Story

Hello again, I can go a whole week and not post then I have three in less than two days but I just had to show you the Birthday card I made for my great grandson for his 8th birthday on Tuesday. Here is the card......

I saw a tutorial on Stamp and Scrap with Frenchie for this card I don't think I have used my envelope punch board in two years and this gave it a work out, also the embossing folder had never been  out of it's package, score #2 my biggest problem was the turtle head but I found an ornament die that worked perfect, it too had never been used, now on with my story.

Katie my granddaughter in law is expecting a baby (we are excited) she went for an ultrasound and was hoping to find out boy or girl, the baby didn't co-operate but William said he didn't care what it was as long as it was a TURTLE.  I knew then I just had to make a turtle card.

finished with a favourite sentiment.

While I had the envelope punch-board out I made the envelope  and added his name to the front.

Thanks for looking today have a wonderful rest of the week.

It’s Challenge Time at Clear it Out Tuesday

Challenge #74 at Clear it Out Tuesday is a colour challenge and the colour is YELLOW and the stash item is Yellow things. The sponsor is Melon Headz Illustrating. I picked a Super Hero image to use for the challenge, because it was a yellow challenge I picked one that looked like Flash, I knew I could use yellow on him, I did google a picture so I had the colours in the right places. And here he is……

I got a little carried away with the sizing of the image but he did fit on the A2 card base. My stash items are the yellow stars and yellow rickrack on the inside. The patterned paper is from McMahon and I got it almost a couple of years ago and knew it was perfect for my little superhero.

It’s Challenge Time at Clear it Out Tuesday!!!

Hello again family, friends and followers it’s time for a NEW challenge at Clear it Out Tuesday. Wow there were a lot of fabulous entries for the last challenge, good luck to any of you that entered. The sponsor for this challenge is Digital Paper Craft. This is a new sponsor so head over and have a look at what super cute images they have.  I picked a cute boy image, I haven’t been picking  boy images but now I have a great grandson to make cards for, he is 5 and loves everything I make him. I had a real mental block this weekend while trying to craft and after I coloured him up I had no idea what to do so fussy cut the image out and it progressed from there. Challenge #65’s Theme is RED and the stash item is RED things. Now on to my card.

The base is Ridinghood Red as I think it goes nicely with the grey patterned paper from the Green Stack from DCWV. Crystal Effects on his glasses, red buttons and rickrack are my stash and I googled soccer balls and printed this one, punched it out and several more circles so it pops.

Again the top note die and some pattern paper scraps finishes the inside.

A new weekly challenge at Clear it Out Tuesday, we want you to make a project for a boy or man and the stash item is STICKERS. Head over to the blog and get all the information and remember the challenge will close at 8 p.m. on April 7th. The Sponsor for this challenge is Bugaboo Stamps, love their images and for this challenge I chose a cowboy leaning on a fence. Have a look.

I coloured the image with spectrum noir and copics, the Happy Birthday is a die, sorry not sure of the company. I used a woodgrain embossing folder from Tim Holtz. the “horse shoes” are part of a die cut I had on my desk. I am not a scrap booker and don’t have a lot of stickers especially for guys so this was quite the search. I found Alphabet sticker booklets, they are so old I had to glue the stickers on. but thing they look kind of cute.

Here is the finished inside of the card. I think I might cut another set of “horse shoes” to put on the inside.
Thanks for looking today and come and join us at Clear it Out Tuesday for the Boy/Men’s challenge, but don[‘t forget to use some stickers..
