The Man with the Bag....

Hello and welcome to the second "Santa" mini slimline card I have made in the last two days, remember I think they are great to tuck a monetary element to the inside as they are the same size. This time I went with a vertical card using a scrap of patterned paper that seemed to surface from a pile on my desk, a super cute Santa I was gifted a couple of years ago and some red metallic posterboard that was also on my desk from a previous crafting session, now if I had put all of it away in the folders perhaps the card wouldn't happen.

I love the "big" HoHoHo and of course works with any Santa. I flat attached the die cuts but popped Santa up on the larges O, I inked the sentiment (from a long retired SU set) with a red memento ink 3 times as I wanted to put it right on the patterned paper, the one stamped on white just was too much "in your face" and I wanted Santa to shine.

The inside was finished with a couple of scraps of paper and a sentiment from the same SU set as the Happy Christmas.

I am adding this to:

I'm living the Embossable Dream.

Here I am with card #3 for the challenge at the Jingle Belles, I might not get a 4th done (I was trying to catch up since I missed (avoided) the sticker challenge, Lauren and Stephanie use stickers and they look awesome I use sticker and guess what, it looks just like stickers on a background, but I did want to keep up with my 2 cards for each challenge.

Surprise it's not a house mouse card, but I sure took myself out of my comfort zone and I love it!!
I used the Brick Wall embossing folder from Sizzix (Stampin'up) on watercolour paper to look like a brick wall, then cut 2 diecuts of Gina Marie leaf wreath die and flat attached. The sentiment die is from Elizabeth Craft Desgns and was flat attached as well, The bow is popped up. I also added some Starform glitter dots. to the wreath.

Finished the inside with an Impression Obsession sentiment and a scrap of green along with some die cut berries and a bow.

I'm adding this to:

The Jingle Belles Rock Challenge ~~ My Sweet Embossable You

ABC Christmas Challenge ~~ C and D (I chose D is for Dies)

Thanks for looking today and check back again to see if I have managed a 4th card.

It's Still Ornamental My Dear Watson.

I managed to get a second card done for the Jingle Belles Rock challenge, it's a fun set of dies from Memory Keepers

I made a mini slimline card, would like it to have been a regular slimline but I had already planned the paper and embossing folder.  The ornaments were cut out of blue metallic posterboard (dollar tree) the back was cut out of glitter paper from a $$ store The patterned paper from a paper pad I just bought at Dollarama. Merry Christmas sticker is from Starform stickers and the silver cord are stickers from Hot Off The Press called Dazzles, which I have no idea where I bought them as I'm sure they are over 10 years old.

A closer look at the glitter and the paper. when I cut the one die there were dots cut so I used them on the centers of the snowflakes.

I love this vertical sentiment stamp it fits the mini slim line cards perfectly and I added some patterned paper and a few of the stickers from the Starform package.

I am adding this to:

Jingle Belles Rock ~~ Ornamental My Dear Watson.

And

ABC Christmas Challenge ~~ X is for Xerox 3 of the same dies used.

Thanks for looking today and one more Holiday card ready for mailng.

Fluffles Strikes Again.

When I saw the new challenge at ABC Christmas Challenge I knew I had to dig out Fluffles again. The prompt is W is for Whimsical and I think this fills the bill.

The current sketch challenge at Sketch Saturday is pick a sketch from the archimves and I picked #509 from 2018. It worked well with my image. The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

Close up, the baubles and star were coloured with spica glitter pens

Finished the indside with some scraps of patterned paper and a favourtie vertical sentiment from Stampabilities.

I am adding this to:

It's a Trifecta of Pink Christmas Cards.

Here is my third card for the Jingle Belles Rock Pink Christmas Challenge, Lauren and Stephanie donate $2 each for breast cancer research for every pink Christmas card posted on thier blog. There is still time to make and post a card before October 20 at 6.00 p.m. EDT.

This one was a bit difficult to photgraph ten again its way past sunset when I'm trying. I made a Mini Slimline card (3 1/4 X 6 14 inches) The snowflake panel is just perfect for  the size. The panel was cut out of silver metallic posterboard I bought at Len's Mills, has 5 different colour sheets in the package. The background for the panel is some pink glitter paper I bought at the local $$ store. The sentimen die cuts are Tim Holtz and were cut 3 times and glued together for dimenson. Background paper is from a Recolletions Sugar Bush paper pad.

Close up but the sparkle really doesn't show in the picture I also added rhinestones to the centers of the three snowflakes.

The inside isn't finihed net as the vertical sentiment I wanted to use is still at the cottage. Since I won't be spending any time there until spring I'm having a road trip to bring the last of the craft supplies home and get ready to drain the water lines on Sunday.

I'm entering this in:

The Jingle Belles Rock ~~ I'm Dreaming of a Pink Christmas

ABC Christmas Challenge ~~  U & V ~~ I chose V for vocabulary

Thanks for stopping by today and if I find time there might be one more.

August Rudolph Days.............sadly it was cancelled.

I'm crafting along at the cottage and trying to get a few challenges finished before they ended,  managed to get the ABC Christmas done, now on to the Rudolph Days.  Last Tuesday I saw a sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches and thought wow I can use the last piecs of that 12 X 12 patterned paper, I don't usually make "dark" cards but it just seemed right to use Green as a back drop. I'm sure the other cards I made with this patterned paper I used Red.

As you see I took the picture on my deck it's too busy to try to get to the breakwall as there is a lot of traffic on a Saturday and Sunday.  I used Fluffles with a present, this can be used for any occastion that is gift giving. It was planned to make another to use for Two-fer challenge but it has closed and sadly ended. I picked up the green and kraft in the plaid to use for the layers, Flufflies is popped up with a couple of squares of heavy cardstock scraps  This sketch is certaily a keeper as it uses up scraps.

Finished the inside with a Stampabilities Stamp (2005) it's just perfect for the vertical cards. And not sure where that scrap of plaid was from but sitting on my cutting table and "waste not want not" and it fit perfectly.

I'm entering this in:

Rudolph Days Challenge ~~ August

Tuesday Morning Sketches ~~ 620

Show Us Your Pussy Cats ~~ Furrything Goes Challenge #69

I went to add this to Rudolph Days and sorry to hear due to illness it was cancelled for August.
Healing vibes heading out Maureen's way.

Thanks for stopping by today and having a look at what Toto has given me a chance to craft today.

I Tried a new Sketch.

A few weeks ago we had a sketch challenge at Shopping Our Stash, well there were 4 sketches and I picked one that fit my image and the time I had (sometimes I run late) Well this sketch is one I really wanted to try, I love layers and this one was perfect and it fit my image too. I have had my image coloured for a few days in hopes that I would get a chance to enter it in the ABC Christmas Challenge blog. The letters are P, Q and R. I chose to do P is for Plump, I haven't played along for a while but when I saw the super cute plump bird from Stampendous (mini stamp) I knew I wanted to play.

I used Sketch #1 from Craft with Sarah  this is a great sketch to use up scraps, I stamped and coloured the Stampendous mini stamp bird and coloured him I (don't laugh) drew the tree branch for him to perch on. The snowflakes are from Impression Obsession, I cut two of each and layered them, and popped them up.

Close up of the snowflakes, I had some colour samples given to me and this one a gossy white and layered quite nicely.

Finished the inside with a super cute sentiment from Impression Obsession and a few patterned paper scraps.

I am entering this in:

Thanks for stopping by today and now I have one more holiday card to add to my stash.

It's a NEW Year and a New Challenge at the Jingle Belles Rock Challenge!!!

It's a good start to a New Year when all the "NEW" challenges begin, the prompt for this challenge is to use something Old and something New on your project. First there is a NEW header on the Jingle Belles Blog it's awesome.  Now I have lots of unused things, quite a few Christmas items so it's not hard for me to use something "new" but the middle of DecemberI ordered a couple of new dies and they finally arrive on Thursday January 7 so I just had to get them in the big shot, so here is my card.

It's a very large three die bauble so decided to just spotlight one on a slimline card,  The back ground is a slimline diagonal die but I decided to emboss it,  once I figured out the recipe, The last big shot I bought came with long base platform but regular plates, not sure if that was supposed to be as I didn't question when I brought it home (was not a fan of the store I bought it at, not very good customer service) I still had to turn it around and emboss the other end. So that was my second "new" item. Thinking of you I cut three times and glued them together to give some elevation, this is an older item. Most of the cardstock I used was from back in the day you could get Michaels cardstock packages for $4 or less. I also brought out my Dylusions sprays which are many years old, it was one day when I had a 50% off coupon and decided sprays "in" and then I I just tucked them away as I didn't seem to have control to use them.  Very happy with the outcome. The bow is from a retired SU set.

Well didn't manage to get a good picture  but it shows how the bauble goes together.

Finished the inside with a stamp I got as a prize from the Jingle Belles, not sure why I have never played with the set before they even came with dies.  The sentiment was also a prize from the Jingle Belles and my fav. horizontal sentiment.

I will be entering this in:

The Jingle Belles Rock Challenge ~~ Something old Something new

ABC Christmas Challenge ~~ A is for Advent B is for Bells.

Thanks for spending some time here today and happy crafting.

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow

No, No, No more snow, it's been rather pleasant here in South Western Ontario, sunshine, clouds and the robins are back, (some stay all winter too) I saw a couple on my way to the neighbourhood mailbox.  Since I am honouring the stay at home I have more time to craft but of course it takes me just as long to make one card as it always did. I do miss the coffee bunch I have coffee with a couple of times a week, meetings have been suspended and my bowling on Fridays has been put on hold.  We just have to make the best of it.  So here is what I made today for Rudolph Days.

It wouldn't be Winter if I didn't make a card with this super cute trio of kitties from Bugaboo Stamps.  I flat attached the image to the front of the card in hopes that I can have cards that don't require "extra postage" when I mail them. The white layer was dry embossed with a Stampin'up folder Gently falling. (counts for ABC E is for embossing)

Close up of the adorable felines

Finished the inside with a Hero Arts sentiment (a prize from the Jingle Belles last year) and a strip of patterned paper left over from one of yesterday's cards and it matched the red perfectly.

I'm entering this in:
Rudolph Days ~~ March

ABC Christmas Challenge ~~ E is for embossing

Show us your Pussycats ~~ #52 Anything Furrything goes (must have a kitty on it)

Thanks for spending time here today and stay healthy and stay home if you can.

You Better Watch Out......

Another quick post for the Jingle Belles Challenge Falalala, this time I used a Dr. Digi image called Naughty or Nice which brings me to the Holiday song I chose, You Better Watch Out. I thought this quite appropriate along with the die cut naughty or nice. (first time cutting it too.)

The image says it all, is your name on the list?

Close up of the main attraction.

Finished inside using scraps and a sentiment from a Holiday Cheer set from Kraftin' Kimmie stamps.  It's an online company from Southern Ontario not far from me. Super cute images and accessories.

Nice to see you so soon but stay tuned for more Holiday magic...Rudolph days are here.

It's A Marshmallow World.......................

Hello and finally I managed to squeeze in some time to make a card for the current Jingle Belles Rock challenge Falalala.  I wanted to do something different for this year's music challenge, you could use music paper, instrument, holiday song or lyrics, usually I make a card with my Penny Black caroling penguins and Joy to the World, this year I had a freebie image from Mel Jen's (no longer in business) it's a Marshmallow Snowman thus using the holiday song It's a Marshmallow World, are you singing the song now?

The snowman was coloured with spica glitter pens, fussy cut, flat attached at the bottom popped up at the top. I used a scrap of smooshed oxide ink background and the cloud was cut out of foam core.

Isn't he the most adorable snowman? I think so.

I thought it appropriate to use the sentiment I won last year from the Jingle Belles, I love this sentiment. I finished the bottom of the inside with a couple of leftovers from making the front.
