It's Rudolph Days (and I'm sneaking in on the last day)

Every month I say the same thing, now Rudolph days are over I should make a card for next month so I don't have to rush the last day.....it didn't work in June better luck with July. LOL.

As you see I'm taking the pictures at the breakwall, it's not as busy during the week but wait until Wednesday, it's Canada Day July 1st and it will be wall to wall people, hopefully in groups of less than 10 and doing some social distancing but then again I'm hoping for a miracle.

I printed a Bugaboo stamps digital image I think he is so adorable, The sentiment is computer generated to match the image, And I made a "mailable:" card.

Finished the inside with a Stampabilities senetiment circa 2005 love this vertical stamp. and a bit of paper left over from cutting the front background.

I'm entering this in:

Thanks for stopping by to check out what I'm doing with my isolation time.

Eyelets…..Do You Use Them?

Here is your chance to get out those eyelets and what ever tool you use to attach them to your project. Head over to Clear it Out for the next challenge…..it’s a masculine inspired card and use some eyelets from your stash. If you  are intimidated by eyelet, brads or hand made eyelets are acceptable. Stitchy Bear is the sponsor of this challenge and I have been given a digi to play with. The inspiration for the colours on my image were from my husband’s favourite vest.
                           IMG_1421
The image I am using is called “The Big One” from Stitch Bear, Stop by the store and see what other fabulous digis they have. As I said before as soon as I saw the vest on the image I knew I had to colour it green, with that decided the rest just went together so quick. I used garden green and kraft cardstock, I coloured the image with prisma pencil crayons and odourless mineral spirits. I used copper eyelets on hiss fishing had and they were from my stash (I haven’t bought eyelets in five years) I added a copper brad for the fishing reel and I put sepia paper glaze on his glasses.
I hope I have inspired you to join us at Clear it  Out for the challenge.

Surfin’ U.S.A. with Poppi Penguin

Hi there, this is the second week of the Karaoke song challenge at  Clear it Out I hope you will come over and join in the fun. The image I chose from Bugaboo stamps was Poppi Surf, as soon as I saw it thought of the Beach Boys and Surfin’ U.S.A.  I coloured Poppi with pencil crayons and oms and coloured the sunglasses with a spica glitter pen, .I also used paper glaze on the lenses of the glasses.  Although it doesn’t show in the picture the white stripe on the surfboard was coloured with a clear spica glitter pen.
What I used from my stash was the blue cardstock, the last of that colour and the white fleur dis lis die cut was from the white cardstock left from cutting  out the image.

Doing a little Driftin’ with Dude Time Doodles

Hi, so nice to see you visiting my blog to check out what I have done with the digi from Dude Time Doodles who is the sponsor of the challenge] at Clear it Out Tuesday.
The digi I used is called Driftin’ Denton and it was the perfect image to use for a birthday card for my son, when he was young he just loved to fish and would spend 10 or more hours fishing. Are you getting the idea that the theme is Sports and Leisure. but with a twist to use punched shapes. Here is my card for the challenge.
                           IMG_1393
The image is from Dude Time Doodles and was  coloured with prismas and odourless mineral spirits. I used a marine blue base, the white is Georgia Pacific and the DSP is from a nautical pack retired from Stampin;up. Copper porthole is cut with spellbinders, I added the copper covered eyelets to the porthole with my crop-a-dilel. I have had both copper items are very old and from the dollar store. The sentiment was punched with the curly label punch from Stampin’ up.
Please join us at the Clear it Out challenge and show us your Sport and Leisure card but don’t  forget to use your punched shapes. You just might win a digi from Dude Time Doodles.

Show Your Easter Colours…..

Easter is just around the corner so for this challenge at Clear it Out we are using our stash of pastel papers plain or patterned or both if you have some. I used a discontinued Stampin’up colour called pale plum, I bought extra before it was retired and will be sad when it is gone.
As part of the design team I was given an image from A Day for Daisies to use. The image  called Dancing with a Boy was coloured with prismas and odourless mineral spirits and is so cute, I thought it would make a great “prom” card or even a wedding card. The pale plum was embossed with the birds and swirls folder, the scalloped frame is done with concord grape card stock and the flowers from my growing stash of flowers.(I’m sure they multiply in the jars)

You Make me Smile with a twist……..

Welcome back, I hope you joined us for the Birthday Bash February 21. The winner of my blog candy was comment number 12, Luanne.
Now on with the new challenge. The theme is You Make me Smile and the twist is to use something that is not from your craft room. Here are a few suggestions, pop tabs, twist ties perhaps even a washer. The image I am using is from My Grafico, what a lovely collection of First Communion digi stamps and if you post a project on Clear it out challenge Blog you might just win the set.
                             IMG_1384
For my card I chose  a soft blue base, The fleur dis lis rectangle and  regular rectangle spellbinder dies. I wanted a touch of blue behind the image so I cut and embossed it so I could cut the edge off to put on the blue layer. The flower is from the Stampin’up pretties set, I layered three petals, my twist is I used a hat pin that was floating around in my sewing box plus a couple of beads from a box I bought at a yard sale last year. I used prisma colour pencils and odourless mineral spirits to colour the hair. I’m not sure if it shows or not but I watered down some white opal liquid pearls and painted the veil and dress to give it a shimmer.
Thanks for stopping by today and please join us at Clear it Out I would love to see your project.

The challenge will last for two weeks so stop by Clear it out Tuesday and add your Valentine/Love project to the link and while you are there have a look at what the design team has done to inspire you.
                        IMG_1373
When I printed the image I knew that I just had to use “pink” seems  I like to use pink and purple a lot. I coloured with prismas and oms. I cut the image with my long rectangles, I used pretty in pink cardstock and dsp and the rose colour is a generic one in my stash. The flower was a gift from a friend and I think it just looks perfect on there.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today and  hope you will join us at Clear it out Tuesday for the LOVE challenge. Keep an eye on the blog for more exciting news.

Clear it out Tuesday…..Use your Scraps!!

Welcome back to Clear it out Tuesday Challenge Blog, our second challenge of the year is to use your scraps, we all know how many scraps we have after making the Christmas and Holiday cards.  For this challenge My Grafico gave our design team the cutest, chubby penguin to play with and I used scraps that were laying around the craft room. Some dp that was just the perfect size and the almost navy scrap and even the image was printed on the flip side of white cs that was previously stamped with an image that just didn’t work out. (that is why there are two sides to each piece) I hope you will come on over to the Clear it out Tuesday Challenge Blog and show us how you use your scraps.
                              Penguin
Thanks for stopping by today to see what winter cards I’m still making, it could be a head start for Christmas 2012. Check out the fabulous digi images you will find at My Grafico, they are easier to store and very reasonably priced too.

What is Your Favourite Holiday?

We had some really cute clipart to work with over at Clear it Out Tuesday for their challenge starting November 1st,  I made a Birthday tag it is 4 inches. The digi image I used is from My Grafico and there were 13 holidays and seasons to to choose from and perfect, they were already coloured. You can see all of them here.  I covered the balloon with some 3D glitter paint (I’m still working on how to control how much to use.) the colours in the owl were pink and green so the base is Wild Wasabi, I cut it with the largest Spellbinder scalloped circle making sure it was attached at two of the scallops and the layer is Regal Rose.
What's your favourite holiday owl 001
Thanks for stopping by today and remember you have until  November 13th to join the favourite holiday challenge at Clear it Out Tuesday.

A Day For Daisies Feeling (and Folding) Fancy

I have been trying to work on this challenge for almost two weeks, I liked the idea of a new fold. Not sure if I got the secret ingredient right or not. I found the challenge on ADFD blog. Of course coming back home from the cottage on Monday I only brought some things I knew I needed to work on some cards……..but it wasn’t enough I had to do a lot of improvising with this card and another that I will post at a later date. Now my fold isn’t extremely fancy but it certainly is different.  TFL/
                           ADFD #24 A New Fold.
I love this digi image, you can adapt it to what ever type of card you need. I used Perfect Plum and Pale Plum card stock and Diamond stickles. Thanks for stopping by today come back again soon you are always welcome.
