The 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2020 ~~ Day 8

I did work on two tags today but there were some roadblocks along the  way, The main roadblock was the super cute fur baby pictured on the right, My craft table the last couple of days has been a real draw and it's for attention. (typical 3 year old)  I managed to get tag 8 done today and my inspiration was Kim Heggin's tag. The sponsor for the day is Avery Elle.  I was just so taken with the super cute cat on her tag.

The digi is from Stitchy Bear, the Santa hat is from a Stampin'up stamp set called Crab & Company, was already stamped and coloured in the case. I have been using 100 pound cardstock for my tag bases and it is a different shade of white than the 80 pound so I traced around the smaller tag with a red glitter pen. A mini pompom was added to the hat. The sentiment was computer generated.

Close up of the sentiment.

Here is Kim's Tag.

Challenge #106 at the Cheerful Stamp Pad Continues…..

In the Kitchen challenge  is entering the second week at The Cheerful Stamp Pad, If you haven’t joined us yet we would love to see your project having to do with In the Kitchen. Stitchy Bear digis is the sponsor for the challenge. For this week  I picked a little chef and stove, when I first saw it I thought Master Chef Junior as we just finished watching it a couple of weeks ago, boy those 8 to 13 year olds are sure awesome and here is what I did for the challenge.
IMG_2737
I made a square card, I was very excited to find my square plain nesties while working on organizing my craft room so I had to use them. The patterned paper is from that 12 X 12  kitchen paper pad and decided to forgo the pink and blue and pick up the green and yellow that is in the paper.
IMG_2738
Close up of her sweet little face.
IMG_2739
Here is a better look at the patterned paper as I will probably find a suitable sentiment to print from the free verse site I have found.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful week, find some time to join in the fun challenge at The Cheerful Stamp Pad.

The Cheerful Stamp Pad is “In The Kitchen”

Challenge #106 at The Cheerful Stamp Pad is In the Kitchen, we want to see some cooking going on. The sponsor for the challenge is Stitchy Bear Outlet, they have been very good to us on the design team so head over there and check out what they have to offer.  I chose a cute little waitress serving a banana split…..yummy.
IMG_2722
The dies I used were Nellie Snellen scalloped oval and Spellbinders plain oval. The patterned paper is from a 12 X 12 Pad of Kitchen papers I bought when I was doing recipe swaps.
IMG_2723
Close up of the cute girl and the banana split.
IMG_2724
This is the off cut from the oval on the front, I got lazy and didn’t search for a stamp to use on the inside. My craft room is being de-cluttered and organized and I haven’t had time to get the stamps in their proper places yet. So far it’s looking good and the girls that are doing the organizing found my square nestie that I haven’t seen in a couple of years. (that’s bad) It was suggested I stop buying brads lol.
Thanks for visiting today and go find your “kitchen” stuff and join in the fun at The Cheerful Stamp Pad.

Your Favourite type of Challenge~~~Anything Goes

Clear it Out Tuesday has a new challenge and the theme is Anything Goes and the Stash item is Anything Goes, so the choice is yours.  The sponsor for this challenge is Stitchy Bear Outlet, the image I used is from Floppy Latte.  Since Thanksgiving has been celebrated here in Canada I’m working on Christmas so have a look at what I’ve done for the challenge.
IMG_2446
One of my stash items is the pine branch stamp, I bought it at a used stamp sale, the ef is from the winter pack from cuttlebug. I used a scrap of gold glitter paper for the top of the ornament.
IMG_2447
I just had to show you the ho ho ho, I found pre- inked mini stamps at Winners a while back, There are 8 sentiments in the package. They are from Mason Row.
IMG_2448
Finishing the insides at the same time as I make the card has been one of the things I’m trying to do. This one is ready to be mailed when December arrives,
Thanks for stopping by today and you know you want to play along with us at Clear it Out Tuesday for the Anything Goes challenge.

Witches, Ghosts and Goblins……Which Would you Choose?

Challenge #96 continues at The Cheerful Stamp Pad with the theme Halloween Costumes. The sponsor is Alipeeps Art at Stitchy Bear Outlet. This week I chose to go with some colours from Halloween, lime green and purple. I also wanted her to look like a little girl so I didn’t colour her face green. Here is what I did for the challenge.
IMG_2354
Since I haven’t found my Halloween paper pad (if I really bought one) I went to the local LSS and bought this cute paper, I added the bit of ribbon and a couple of black cats which were cut with an IO die.
IMG_2356
As you see I located my Happy Halloween stamp and found a sweet little ghost in my stash.
IMG_2357
Close up of the black cat, it reminds me of my 17 year old black cat called Spook.
IMG_2358
One day I will sit down at the computer and get some verses for my cards and then they will be ready to send.
I would like to add this to the following challenges:

Crafty Hazelnut’s Patterned Paper challenge October.

Halloween Costumes is the theme at The Cheerful Stamp Pad

My friend just informed us on Facebook that Halloween is 31 days away, so are you working on your Halloween costume? The Cheerful Stamp Pad would like to see you make a project with a Halloween costume on it. The sponsor for this challenge is Alipeeps Art at Stitchy Bear Designs.  For the first week I chose a really cute pirate and this is how it turned out.
IMG_2344
As you can see we spent the weekend at the cottage, it was really beautiful and warm. I brought all the parts for the card with me and just had to assemble it. I still haven’t located my Halloween stamp and of course the sentiment for the inside I usually print off a site on the internet but that didn’t happen as I only have dial up internet at the lake.
IMG_2345
Here is the inside…..waiting for the verse.
Thanks for visiting today and please join us at The Cheerful Stamp pad for the Halloween Costume challenge.

All That Jazz Challenge #92 at the Cheerful Stamp Pad

Happy Civic holiday to all my Canadian friends and readers. Today is supposed to be a great day here in SWO.
Challenge #92 at the Cheerful Stamp Pad is All That Jazz which means musical instruments. The sponsor for the challenge is Stitchy Bear Stamps and the image I picked from the great images is a set of drums. My son and grandsons love playing them so it was only natural that I made them into a masculine card.
IMG_2290
I chose to print it in Black and accent it with gray and silver. The sentiment is a die cut and since I didn’t bring any alpha stamps with me I cut an extra birthday to make the and.
IMG_2291
Here is a close up of the made up “and”
IMG_2292
The inside sentiment is also from the same grouping of instruments and perfect for this card.
I hope you will join us for the All That Jazz  challenge.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful Monday!!

Weekend Activities Week 2 of Challenge #89

This is the second week of the Weekend Activities challenge at The Cheerful Stamp Pad. I hope you can find some time to join us in the challenge. The sponsor is Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet/BB Kakes, super cute images and here is the one I chose for the challenge.
IMG_2248
The image is called Want to Play, isn’t she adorable?  I was at Wall-Mart (Canada) last night and found a 6 x 6  patterned cardstock pad for $4.97, not that I really needed it but all of the patterns I will used. As you can see I’m taking pictures on the deck rail al==which is great as long as the wind is calm. The background paper has gray in it so I chose to use basic gray for the base and a layer.
IMG_2249
The inside isn’t finished yet I need to decide what one I will use it  only takes a couple of minutes to finish, my picture taking really lacks today since there is a strip of the patterned paper on the bottom of the inside.
I am entering this in Crafty Hazelnut’s Patterned Paper challenge for Jun I hope I can get it in on time.
Thanks for looking  today and have a great week.

IMG_2202.
I followed a sketch from Stella says Sketch at Catch the bug, it was perfect. I coloured with my spectrum noir and copics.
IMG_2203

I cut the feather outside the oval and put some stardust stickles on it.
IMG_2204
I have no idea if this will be a birthday or just a Hello card so no sentiments on it. I use one of the scraps from the patterned paper on the inside too.

Clear it Out Tuesday is going Vintage……………

New challenge at Clear it Out Tuesday the theme is Vintage and the stash item is Pearls/ The sponsor is Stitchy Bear Outlet and the image I used is from Delicious Doodles
IMG_2154
No colouring on my image, I felt it looked better just as is, I printed the digi on Very Vanilla cardstock, my first attempt I tried sponging and it didn’t go well. I cut the scalloped opening in the Neutral dsp from Stampin’ up (had it for a long time) then the black was cut with a plain oval, both are Nellie Snellen dies.
IMG_2155
Here are my pearls, they were white pearls I coloured with a spectrum noir warm brown marker, very dark brown too.
IMG_2156
I added silver thin line border stickers to the top and bottom, here is a close up of one of them.
IMG_2157
Finished inside of the card using the cut out from the layer on the front.

It’s a GREEN challenge at Clear it Out Tuesday

We were hoping by having a GREEN challenge it would bring us some Spring Greens but unfortunately it’s still white out there. The theme at Clear it Out Tuesday is Green and the stash item is green embellishments. The sponsor is Stitchy Bear Outlet and there are three sponsors from the store. My image is from Hope Jacare, it’s kind of a funky owl and I have decided it might be a good masculine card so kept it pretty simple.
IMG_2036
I coloured the image with my spectrum noir and bic markers layered it on close to cocoa. The patterned paper is from a DCWV stack that name eludes me but it’s made with quite a good percentage of recycled material. The green strip I ran through the big shot in  the clouds folder, then added the fibres for visual interest.
IMG_2037
Here is the inside I added the green and a strip of the patterned paper that was left from the front.

challenges I am entering this in....Hiding in My Craft Room Lets go digital.

Thanks for looking today and find that “green” in your scrap bucket that is left over from St. Paddy’s day and add it to the Clear it Out Tuesday Challenge blog,

Just a reminder the challenge ends Monday March 31st at 8 p.m.

Mid Challenge time at The Cheerful Stamp Pad

The theme is Love/Valentine at the Cheerful Stamp Pad, the sponsor is Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet. There are many stores at Stitchy Bear and my image was picked from BBKakes and her name is Flora Fae.
Because I wanted to use the flora frames from Stampin’up I made the card 5 1/4 inches square, of course not having envelopes I made one for the card to fit in, I forgot to take a picture of it and now it is on it’s way to the recipient. I am using patterned paper I have had for at least 5 years and having fun doing it too.
IMG_1952
Isn’t she just adorable. I coloured her with my alcohol markers Put some stickles on her wings and cut out with the floral frame, layered on the largest floral frame and popped it all up on the dot background. The sentiment was computer generated.
IMG_1953
Finished  inside, the stamp is from Hero Arts called life with sunshine and I stamped it in Brilliance coral.
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you can find some time to get crafty and enter the  Love/Valentine challenge at The Cheerful Stamp Pad.

Copy Cat, Copy Cat….Challenge time at Clear it Out!!!

The new weekly challenge is Copy Cat at Clear it Out Tuesday  You can pick one of the Design Team’s cards to copy or any one that is on on one of the team’s blogs. For all the information please visit Clear it Out Tuesday Challenge blog. The sponsor for this week’s challenge is Stitchy Bear, check all the digital images they have for sale. I chose a cute zoo image to make into a baby card,  it’s nice to have a few on hand.
IMG_1906
I used So Saffron and GP white cardstock, The tiny buttons are brads I’ve had for at least 2 years and i finally opened the package. I also emboss with the swiss dots folder and finished it off with some yellow ribbon.
IMG_1907
I totally finished the inside of the card, (patting myself on the back) The sentiment is from a Stampin’ up word set. this certainly doesn’t look like the same colour as the front but I assure you it is. Sometimes pictures don’t work out like they should.
Thanks for looking today and I hope you will find some time to get your crafty on and join us for the Copy Cat Challenge at Clear it Out.

Week #3 of the Warm and Fuzzies at Clear it Out.

Darned if I didn't schedule this wrong and it didn't post at midnight, well it would have if it was January 7th. I did a post for Shopping Our Stash and if you are looking for it, scroll down or click HERE.

Can you believe it’s New Year’s Eve day, do you have plans to ring in the New Year tonight? We don’t have any plans for tonight but things might change.  It is the final week of the challenge, weekly challenges will start in the New Year, January 7, 2014. Now to remember to date everything with the new year.
If you haven’t checked out all the rules of the challenge please stop by Clear it Out Tuesday Challenge blog  and while you are there check out the great project the design team has done for your inspiration. This week for my project II used a Stitchy Bear digi outlet, along with snowmen I love penguins and I saw this cute image with three penguins mailing cards which reminded me   of mailing  cards to my friends.
IMG_1837
Well no snowflake embossing folder this time, the texture I used is buttons and the white opal liquid pearl on the hats. The sentiment was from the $1 bin at Michaels (they are now $1/50) so you know how long I’ve had it. I love the Merry Christmas script. Patterned paper from a Christmas pad, cardstock is real red and gp white. Stitchy Bear digi outlet is one sponsor for this last challenge of 2013 the other two are Digi Darla Designs and QKR Stampede.
When I was ready to mail all my cards to friends I took this card with me to give to the workers at the Post Office as I only do my mailing from there. I think they were pleased that I thought of them.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a happy and prosperous 2014

The Last Challenge of 2013 at Clear it Out Tuesday!!!

It’s hard to believe another challenge year is coming to a close, now there are three weeks to the challenge at Clear it Out Tuesday and there are three sponsors. Digi Darla Designs, QKR Stampede, and Stitchy Bear digi OutletIn January we will be progressing forward to a WEEKLY challenge, each with one of the fabulous sponsors we already have. I guess I should let you in on the Theme of the challenge, it’s Warm and Fuzzy of course my idea of “warm” is not heat/cold it’s what makes me feel warm which could be a picture of a kitten, a yummy recipe or anything that says “cute”. Now to the stash item anything textured on your card. For the first week of the challenge I chose a cute snowman with Santa’s bag from QKR Stampede.
IMG_1838
I used the very first winter embossing folder I bought, that is one of the textures on my card, the other is the white opal liquid pearls on the hat and the tree, I also used red liquid pearls on the berries.  The oval is cut with a Nellie Snellen die layered it on top of the image added a bashful blue ribbon and it is finished. I think the simplicity of the card makes the snowman the focal point.
Thanks for looking today and hope to see you at Clear it Out Tuesday for the Warm and Fuzzies challenge.

Tuesday…….Time for a new challenge at CIOT.

Well my Canadian readers are you still groaning over eating too much on the weekend….I am. It was a lovely day with the family and of course the yummy eats. Even though we had grilled pork tenderloin I had to make a pot of “dressing”, it works well I just make my recipe and usually put it in the crock pot to keep it warm,I use chicken stock to keep it moist. There isn’t much left. On with the challenge……
Clear it Out Tuesday’s challenge is Halloween, stash item use orange. Our sponsors are Stitchy Bear (new sponsor) QKR Stampede and a favourite sponsor Digi Darla Designs.
This week I used a cute Halloween cat dressed up in a skunk costume it’s from  Stitchy Bear/Sentimental Susan.  This is a new sponsor for us at Clear it Out so take a trip over and see what is on that site..
IMG_17722
I used one of the Spellbinder’s pumpkin dies I bought a while ago at Winners…cute isn’t it. I but the stem and vines in green and added them and put the very bright yellow scrap behind to act like it was lit up. I left a space for the sentiment since my Happy Halloween is sitting on the table at home waiting for me to put it in my bag.
Supplies
Square card base from Michaels (2 years ago)
Cardstock…GP white, GP Black patterned paper from 12x12 pad from Winners Scrap of orange, green and yellow for the pumpkin.
Image….from Sentimental Susan/Stitchy Bear
Spellbinders pumpkin die and Scalloped square die.
Head over to Clear it Out challenge blog and see what the other design team members have done to inspire you and get out your Halloween stamps and dig through your stash for something orange and join our challenge that ends on November 4th.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a creative day.

A new challenge at The Cheerful Stamp Pad, My Kind of Gal sponsored by Stitchy Bear’s Outlet-Gingerloft. the image I chose to work with is a cute girlie butterfly and there isn’t a more girlie colour than PINK. I seem to be using a lot of pink lately. I coloured the image with pencil crayons and oms, mounted it on a Fleur dis lis die cut and the background is Hero Arts polka dot which I inked in Brilliance Coral and embossed it with Silver Pearl ep from Ranger. Pink rhinestones and stickles on the wings make them sparkle.

Natural with Stitchy Bear and The Cheerful Stamp Pad

Challenge #60 at The Cheerful Stamp Pad is sponsored by Stitchy Bear and the Theme is Natural.  My image is from our sponsor and  it says “Take time for Beauty it is everywhere in Nature” how beautiful is that. I coloured the image with pencil crayons and oms, fussy cut so the flower’s flowed off the border. I used earth tones for the base and the layer behind the image. I embossed the blue with a butterfly embossing folder. Now what is more natural than the colours of the earth, the sky and butterflies.
