Christmas and the Crooked Stamper Sketch #11

I found a piece of patterned paper that just begged to be used and I remembered the current sketch at The Crooked Stamper and it was perfect to showcase the lovely paper.  Since this is a very quick post I will get on with the picture.

This is a very easy, quick card. I stamped the sentiment in red versafine and clear embossed then layered it on a scrap of scalloped gold foil paper, then added 4 rhinestones.

My Altered Date Book

Since I was getting appointments into next year I decided to purchase a  2016/2017 date book, I wasn't excited about the picture but I knew I would alter it. I used Sketch 10 at the Crooked Stamper's blog of course a house mouse image, every time I take it out of my purse it will make me smile.

The dies I used are Big Scalloped dies from Spell binders and the alpha stamps are from Hero Arts

Here is what I started with.

Hero Arts alpha set stamped in Teal and punched out with the 1/2 inch circle punch.

Happy Hopper and House Mouse Babies

Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian friends, family and followers and to my U.S. followers Happy Columbus Day for those that celebrate. To all other followers just have an awesome day!!!

I was asked by a friend to made a baby boy card to put with her gift for her new grandson and of course I went into overdrive and made three. The one she chose I didn't get a picture of,  I forget quite often to take a picture of the cards I make for others, I've seen me tear the envie apart to photograph it on more than one occasion. Here are the two extras I now have.

Using the awesome sketch from the Crooked Stamper Sketch Challenge #9  I made a simple card with the cute House Mouse Design Stamp, I purchase a die "it's a boy girl" and this was my chance to try it out.  I used two embossing folders, Argyle and Swiss Dots. Finished it off with a tiny button brad and some baker's twine. On to the second card.

This time I used a Happy Hopper, isn't the bunny adorable, I love this stamp. I used the argyle cuttlebug embossing folder for this one and some more baker's twine. The congratulation is a gold peel and stick sentiment, I wanted the bunny to shine. There are no sentiments on the inside as I packed up a lot of my stamps and took them home last trip, we will be closing the cottage soon as it is getting cooler and we don't want to have a freeze up.

Thanks for visiting me today and have a wonderful fun day with friends and family.

It's an Adoption Card

Hello friends, family and blog readers, the weather has been very nice the last couple of days, so much better than the weekend. It's nice at Turkey Point during the week, quiet with only a handful of sunbathers.  A couple of weeks ago one of my snarky sisters told us they had just adopted a new family member, a beautiful black dog, not sure if he is a Lab, I must remember to ask.  I decided to make a congratulatory card and I mailed it before the Labour day long weekend, well CPO was terribly slow as it took almost two weeks to travel there, I could have driven it myself in an hour. I was sure it was lost. I was very happy when  I got the word it arrived.

The stamp set I used is D is for Dog retired from stampin'up. The sentiment I wrote myself and I won't tell you how many times I had to practice so it looked presentable. First time using the paw prints border punch. I was inspired to use Sketch #8 from The Crooked Stamper.

Close up of the D and the pawprints.

I wrote a personal message on the inside,

Show Us Your Snark!!!

Shopping Our Stash has joined forces with the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers for a SNARKY challenge. So what it means is when you get your `show us your snark`project done you can put it on both challenges....it`s a `two-fer``. Don't forget to read until the end as there is a second card.

I have a few Dolly Mama stamps it was hard to choose which to use, well it was chosen for me, I packed two of the stamps to bring to the cottage and imagine my surprise when I realized the one was not the one I had planned on but it was a happy accident as I liked this one better.

And here is my snark|||

I added some of the patterned paper to the top note and I used the swiss cheese border punch, it still needs a sentiment just wasn`t sure which one.

Since this is a crossover challenge I have made a card for the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers (what better challenge for them) I used another Dolly Mama just love their little tongue in cheek snarky notes.

I used the brand new sketch challenge at The Crooked Stamper, it worked perfect for the tall skinny image,.

And here is the Snark!!!

Well it's a little out of focus but  was trying to keep the card and the holder from blowing to the ground, it's a tad breezy here today.

Thanks for stopping by today and since we have a two-fer you can post your card on both challenge blogs.

How about some Hearts and Flowers!!

It's a NEW challenge at The Cheerful Stamp Pad ~~ Hearts and Flowers please use both. The sponsor for this challenge is Floppy Latte at Stitchy Bear Outlet.  We were given some awesome images to play with for the challenge and I chose Flowers on Lattice digi, this image can be used for almost any occasion which is why I have left the sentiments off it. I can see me using this digi over and over it's fab.

I used the sketch from  the Crooked Stamper Sketch Challenge #6 but flipped it horizontal, and used a rectangle for the image. Pink Grey and black go so well together and the patterned paper is from Walmart. I saw the black butterfly on my craft table so just thought it would add some interest to that corner,

Close up  to show how pretty the flowers are and the butterfly too.

SOS #192 Counting On You

Looking for my Clear it Out post scroll down or click HERE
Sorry for the late posts this morning the time change takes me a long time to get used to, I’m so tired at night I’m in bed early and I seem to manage to sleep in at least an hour extra in the morning  which works out to 9 hours. This morning I woke up and realized I went to bed before I did my blog posts, so I’m blaming the time change.  So on with the challenge at Shopping Our Stash!!!. Counting on You, we would like to see numbers on your project. Here is mine……
IMG_2743
All cardstock and number paper (leftover from an ATC swap) were in my scrap file box, the flower was sitting on my table with the flower eyelet already on it, a left over thought for another challenge.  The Happy Birthday was bought at a yard sale before I even knew what paper crafting was.

I even have numbers on the inside of the card.
The sketch I used is from the Crooked Stamper CSSC #2

This is a fabulous sketch, no matter which way you flip it.
Thanks for looking today and have a fabulously crafty week.

SoSS challenge # 29 L is for Leprechaun

Or make a St. Patrick Day’s card!!! The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers would like you to join them in the “wearing of the green” with or without snark it’s up to you. Some of the sisters went with snark but you will have to check them out for yourself just like I’m going to do. Mine has no snark it just all cuteness.
IMG_2734
I only have two St. Patrick’s Day stamps and this is one of them, Fluffles from Stampendous and my sketch is from the Crooked Stamper sketch #2.

My craft room is beginning to shape up now with the help of my daughter and her friend, it is a new section of the cleaning business and Imy craft room was the “lab rat” or “guinea pig”. My square nestablities finally surfaced, I have looked and looked for them but have no idea where they were found but I’m excited about it. I am sure they have been hiding for three years. My smaller dies are now in a drawer in my cart and they way they changed the room around works fab. Still lots of work ahead for me.

The only full piece is the white base, even the flourish was a scrap. The image was coloured with a combo of copics and blendabilities from Stampin’ up. The stash item is the gold along the one panel and around the image as well as the gold coloured rhinestones.
