GenCon - Malifaux Plastic and Rumors

I have had the chance to talk to Eric Johns yesterday and got my hands on one of the new plastic miniatures.

 

The plastic has the same color as GWs but is less rigid. dteials are sharp as expected, overall quality excellent.
Most sets contain optional bits.

What he said:
- More Gremlin parody crews in the future
- Large models will be fully movable (Lazarus actually is almost like an Action Figure
- Multi-Pose "Rank and File"
- Large models that can actually be transformed from one form into another after in-game triggers

Wyrd Miniatures - GenCon Exclusives Rumors

A change in the background picture of the Wyrd Miniatures forum and a statement made by Eric Johns sparked some rumors about this years GenCon exclusives:

Maelstrom Games - Bane Legion Game Incoming?

Together with their preview of Keirioc-cró, Maelstrom Games sent this statement:

"November’s BaneBeast is one that we think will get more than a few puzzled looks and more than a few scratched heads. Much of the feedback we have received over the past year, at least when it comes to BaneBeasts, has been of the “But what can I use it for?” variety, to which our normal reply is “Whatever you wish to use it for”, without trying to sound too clever or too smug. However, here at BaneLegions towers we feel it is time to reveal a little more of our plans and tell you exactly why we are making such esoteric beasties as Keirioc-cró, Conjunct XIII and Ophius, to name but three. In the interests of keeping the next BaneBeast at the forefront, however, we’ll do that next week rather than now – so expect some lovely new concept art, along with a few pointers as to what we are actually up to, during October!"

Just found this on the Tales of a PP Press Ganger blog: User Rynth posted a picture  of the new Warlock for Hordes on the Privateer Press forums:

The new Farrow Warlock has been spotted. And he is called Sturm (or Sturman or Sturgeon) & Drang. Also, its been mentioned he is a CENTAUR!!!!!!!!

Rumour: Bloodbowl 25th Anniversary Release?

There is some talk about a 25th anniversary Bloodbowl release on the warseer forum.

Rumors say it will be again a september "secret" release like Space Hulk. A similar revision is likely, especially new miniatures.

Rumours say that Games Workshop stopped the production of metal miniatures for unknown reasons and for an unknown timeframe. The original rumor seems to come from a well-known german retailer.

One possible explanation is a shift from metal to resin.
