Precinct Omega - New Kickstarter Announcement

Precinct Omega announced an upcoming Kickstarter campaign:

Inspired by the art I commissioned for Horizon Wars: Zero Dark, I reached out to Desert Island Designs to make me some miniatures based on the heroes from the Operation Nemesis storyline and, after much deliberation, I've decided to release them to the world!
The miniatures will be available as either STLs or resin prints, with the possibility of cold-cast resin or white metal casting being unlocked if the campaign raises enough money.
My planned launch date is Monday 1st August.

Precinct Omega - Horizon Wars: Infinite Dark Release

Precinct Omega released the Horizon Wars: Infinite Dark rules:

Horizon Wars: Infinite Dark is a new spaceship combat game, distinguishing itself from others in the genre with a focus on the pilots and captains of your vessels, and the chance to play the game in one of three "command levels", from dog-fighting up to mighty fleet actions. Like all Precinct Omega games, the core rules include options for solo, co-operative and versus rules.

Precinct Omega - Zero Dark: Operation Nemesis Release

Precinct Omega released the Zero Dark: Operation Nemesis supplement:

Zero Dark: Operation Nemesis provides a three-act, 12-mission solo or co-operative campaign, as well as 6 brand new Versus missions for player-vs-player games. There are also rules for new options for the heroes, as well as for the Red Force. Teams can now include motorcycles and hulking battlesuits in their rosters, but their enemies can also field the deadly Combat Mech, and, of course, the lurking Nemesis - a powerful new Boss type that has access to a menu of special abilities to ensure that each encounter is unique.
Operation Nemesis is the story of a Venusian special forces team on a rescue mission to an Earth shattered by an asteroid strike. Pressed against their will into the service of a shadow government, they must follow a trail of clues to understand something of what happened on Earth before the asteroid hit, but risk learning more than their masters are willing for them to know. Whilst the book contains a full solo/co-op adventure set in the Horizon Wars universe, the missions can easily be re-purposed to a setting of your choice.

Precinct Omega - BattleGroup Beta Testing

Precinct Omega is looking for players to participate in beta-tetsing their new game BattleGroup:

Precinct Omega, the owners of One Pound Wargames, are looking for people to join their closed beta test for their next HorizonWars game, BattleGroup.
All you have to do to get in is play a game of one or both of their previous two releases - MechaWar and AirFrame, each just £1.00 from Precinct Omega - and post a battle report on their forum and you'll get a free copy of the beta test rules for BattleGroup straight into your InBox.
But that's not all, because when the BattleGroup rules are commercially released, everyone who has submitted a battle report - even after the open beta is launched in April - will be entered into a competition to win one of the studio-painted armies for their very own!
HorizonWar is a three-volume set of games from One Pound Wargames that allows you to play science fiction battles in the 6-10mm scale with a fast, intuitive and customizable system. Volume 1, MechaWar, is a mech-combat skirmish game. Volume 2, AirFrame, takes to the skies for high-adrenaline air-to-air combat. Volume 3, BattleGroup, will introduce the rest of the group forces of infantry, armour, artillery and special forces. All three sets are fully compatible and Precinct Omega is constantly releasing new, free DLC for HorizonWar.

Precinct Omega - Airframe Release

Precinct Omega released the second volume in their HorizonWar Trilogy, AirFrame:

This companion game to break-out hit, MechaWar, uses similar mechanics that allow you to run air-to-air battles as standalone games or to combine forces with ground mechs to add a new dimension and powerful new abilities to your battlegroup

Precinct Omega - AirFrame Beta Rules

Precinct Omega published the beta rules for AirFrame:
AirFrame is the battle for airspace superiority over the battlefields of the future, whether that be the conflict zones of a near-future Earth, or the impossibly distant apocalypse of a dark galaxy locked in eternal warfare.

In this game, each player controls a collection of models, representing a variety of aircraft, called a formation, and must complete challenging missions in the face of enemy fire. The rules are designed to be easy to access and quick to learn, but difficult to master. Your airframes may be a handful of supersonic fighter-bombers, laden with destructive potential; a swarm of smaller craft aiming to overwhelm the enemy by weight of numbers, or a combination of several types, each with their own, unique role to play in your battle-plan.

Precinct Omega - Mecha War Mission Generator

Precinct Omega is now offering a free Mission Generator for Mecha War:

The MechaWar mission generator is now finished and you can download it from our blog. Give it a test-run over the holidays and let us know what you think. It's not the simplest of creations, but we've found it to present very realistic, tactically challenging opportunities that still make for fun, tense, exciting games of MechaWar. And now it's your chance to tell us what you want us to do next for for MechaWar.
