Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Summer Fun Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Summer Fun blog hop!! All of the DT members have amazing summery projects to share!! If you just stumbled upon this hop, head back to Lisa's blog - Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons

I take a TON of pictures of my girls in the summer so of course my project is a layout!

I am so in love with the teeny tiny popsicles on my banner!! They are adorable, and were even easy to put together! I used the Popsicle Fever cutting files...

I used the Simple Banner Shapes to make my banner and added my popsicles using some foam stickers.

I used a single hole punch to take a 'bite' out of my pink popsicle by punching a few holes next to each other, then added some shading with fluid chalk ink.

Here are the supplies I used to make my layout...
- Echo Park Summer Days Collection
- PPPR Popsicle Fever and Simple Banners cutting files
- American Crafts ribbon
- sequins
- sewing machine
- Colorbox Fluid Chalk Ink
- white gelly roll pen

I am also linking this layout up over at the Craftin' Desert Diva's Linky Party

Super Mom card and bag!!

Is Mother's Day really this Sunday already?! Did that totally sneak up on anyone else? I am frantically making Mother's Day projects this week!!

A while back, I took a Superman cutting file from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons and converted it into a Super MOM!! I loved how it turned out, and wanted to try a similar idea with the same files, but a different color scheme! Boy... I had no idea how much TROUBLE this project was going to give me!! A combination of my printer acting up, my cameo not cutting properly and problems with my sewing machine, made this project take forever to complete! I hope the recipient loves it! :)

I used some digital pattern paper from the Beauty Blooms kit by Melissa Bennett and Heather Roselli (at the Scrap Orchard store).

I am just so in love with this color combination! I know I will use this digital kit over and over.

Here is what I used to make my card/bag...
- Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Superhero Trio Cutting Files
- Beauty Blooms digital kit
- My Creative Time button and banner dies
- Pink By Design Our Mothers Stamp set
- Peachy Keen Princess Face Assortment set
- sewing machine
- Cuttlebug folders
- American Crafts jute
- Recollections rhinestones
- Colorbox fluid chalk ink
- Gift Bag from Michaels

I am off to link this project up over at the Peachy Keen release challenge!! I hope you liked my project today!!

You are Naturally Sweet - PPPR

Who's up for another Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons DT Day?!?! I hope you all love these days as much as I do! If you loved them before, you will REALLY love them now! Lisa has added three new girls to the design team and their projects are AWESOME!!! You really need to head on over to the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons blog to check out these projects....

I played with the Honey Bees Cutting Files and Sunny Skies digital paper this week.

To create my card....
1. In Silhouette Studio I created four rectangles (all the same length but varied heights) and lined them up on top of each other
2. By dragging and dropping my digital pattern paper, I filled each rectangle with a different pattern (all from the Sunny Skies Collection)
3. I printed out the rectangle on textured paper and cut out the rectangle using a paper trimmer
4. Using my sewing machine, I added some zigzag stitches where my pattern paper matched up
5. I created an outline of my bear using the Offest button and filled it with a light grey pattern paper
6. Moving the dark yellow parts of my bear off to the side, and grouped the rest of the pieces of my bear (including the new offset layer) to print
7. Once pieces were printed/cut, I used Colorbox fluid chalk ink to ink around my dark yellow parts and the outline of the bear. A finishing touch was adding some glossy accents to the honeycomb on the bear's tummy.
8. I ran a strip of 3 Girl Jam ribbon across my background layer and added a bow
9. After putting my bear together, I added some foam stickers to the back and added it to the card
10. Added my sentiment stamp

Here are the supplies I used for my card...
- Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Honey Bees Cutting Files & Sunny Skies Digital Paper

- sentiment from Love Stings - Jaded Blossom
- 3 Girl Jam crinkle ribbon
- glossy accents
- cardstock
- sewing machine
- Colorbox Fluid Chalk Ink
- White gelly roll pen

Thanks for stopping by today!!! :)

Find Courage (plus giveaway winner)

HI crafty peeps!! I have a pretty simple card to share today. There has been a lot of tragedy around our tiny little town in the past year. Unfortunately, I don't have many sympathy cards on hand, so I thought I should get on it.

I cut three simple hearts, inked them and used my sewing machine to stitch them on. A little inking with some distress ink and a Pink By Design sentiment, and viola! :)

Easy Peasy!! :)

Here are the supplies I used...
- Vintage Photo Distress Ink
- Momenta paper
- Sympathy stamp set by Pink By Design

And now what I'm sure you've been waiting for! :) The winner of the twine sample giveaway from last week.

And the winner IS...

Margaret M!!!!

Congrats Margaret! I will be contacting you shortly!!

Really hope you stop back again tomorrow!!

Teacher Appreciation

Are you loving stopping back in here on a regular basis?? :) I suuuuure love having you!! I have a couple more cards to show you over the next couple of days, then I really hope to get working on some layouts!!! I'm really behind in my girls' scrapbooks, and with another baby coming I think I'm getting in a little too deep!! :) Can you imagine the crafty shock I'm going to have if this baby is a boy?! I've always been so used to making such GIRLY projects!!! I guess we'll see... ;)

My card today is for a teacher... And of course I used the print and cut feature and my cameo. Love, love, LOVE this!!! Makes things sooo much quicker!! I tried to make a video to show you all how to use this feature, but it bombed so maybe I'll try another one next time...

I have also been looooving my sewing machine these days!! I've really gotten onto using it and now it gets used in almost every project!
This card has a lot of dimension which is one of my favorite things about it!!

Here's my 'ingredients'...
- Momenta paper
- chalkboard graphic from Lettering Delights
- 'Our Teachers' stamp set by Pink By Design
- white embossing powder
- sewing machine
- EK Success Notebook border punch
- doodles with white gelly roll pen

Make sure you come back again soon!! I still have so many projects to share with you!!! And think of me today while I am out planting trees in our yard, while it rains!! :) Should be fun!!

I have been wanting to stamp little faces on veggies for some time now and I have FINALLY gotten this out of my system...

These pics are of my daughter, Brittyn, from a while ago... This was the first time she tried veggies. She has been one picky little eater ever since!

XOXO

Hello friends!!! I actually took a break from LAYOUTS last night!!!! Mostly because I didn't have a lot of time to work on a project....

This card was inspired by this challenge over at Pretty Little Studio as well as the January challenge at Simply Crafts.

Love this pic - I had so many ideas...

Here is my card!!!

I used this cupcake since it was the chosen cut to use for the challenge at Simply Crafts. I used my sewing machine to stitch around the edges of my mat - I'm getting better at stitching a STRAIGHT line!! :) I embossed the top of the muffin with my divine swirls cuttlebug folder.

I added some glossy accents to the heart on top to give it some shine. I also added the little flag stamped with xoxo from the Love Always stamp set by Pink By Design. I also added a pin - a new addiction of mine! :) Like I need another crafty addiction!!!

I hope you like my card, and don't forget to check out my post about the Cricut Cartridge I am giving away!!!!
