Hey everyone!! Today is the start of another awesome challenge over at Trendy Twine!! We loved all the projects you linked up last month for the Disney challenge!!

This month's challenge theme is Back To School!! Our projects all include ABCs/123s, primary colors and the awesome new Cherry Lemonade Trendy Twine!! I love this color combo!!!

I wanted to make a fun little treat for Bria for her very first day of Kindergarten!! I found this cute little apple treat box over at SVG Cutting Files and filled it up with starburst candies with letters and numbers on them. We'll see if this actually lasts around here until she gets home from her first day of school... ;)

Here are the supplies I used on my project...
- Apple Treat Box from SVG Cutting Files
- Lucy's ABCs and 123s stamp set from Peachy Keen
- wooden button from stash
- 3 Girl Jam bowmaker
- white gelly roll pen
- colorbox fluid chalk ink

Don't forget to head on over to the Trendy Twine blog to see all the other awesome projects from the Design Team, and to link up your Back To School Projects for a chance to win an awesome prize!! If you'd like to go get yourself some new Cherry Lemonade twine HERE is a link to the store!!

Witch's Hat Halloween Decor

Hope everyone had a great weekend! :) We had a very low key weekend, didn't even feel like a weekend, actually!

Bria and I did a little crafting! I picked up a plain cardboard witch's hat at Michaels a while ago that I knew Bria would have fun with. We used some Modge Podge and some thin Recollections paper to cover the entire hat. I also mixed in some green Martha Stewart glitter to give the hat some shimmer once it was done drying.

After the hat was dry I took it to my craft room to add some decorations...

I started by putting together a little witch from the Hocus Pocus cut set by My Scrap Chick. I had a bit of a tricky time trying to get this witch together, but I think she ended up looking fine... I added a lot of stitching (with a white pen) to her, along with some shading and some patterned paper from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons. And of course I had to add a little crinkle ribbon bow from 3 Girl Jam! This is my addiction right now... if you've noticed there are tiny little crinkle bows on all my projects lately! Oh! And how could I forget... a cute little face from the Princess Faces stamp set by Peachy Keen.

I used my Banners stamp set by Pink By Design to create my 'BOO' banner. I inked around all the edges with orange Distress Ink and topped the banner off with some Grape Fizz Trendy Twine. I also used a couple pumpkins (also cut from the Hocus Pocus cut set from My Scrap Chick) that I had left over from a recent project.

I used some green (although it didn't photograph the right color...) sheer ribbon for a large bow and some sparkly orange ribbon (from Michaels) and a button from a thrift store in the center.

I hope you like my decoration!! :) I'll be linking it up at a few places...

- A Homespun Affair Color Challenge
- Cameo Creations - 3D projects

Thanks so much for stopping by!! :)
