Magical

Hey Everyone!! Hope you all had a great weekend! We did! The weather was beautiful again so I had the girls outside, and Bria was learning to skate again. She's slowly getting there! Tomorrow is back to our regular routine of playschool two days a week and skating lessons one day. I really enjoyed having no schedule at all for a couple weeks....

Did you all catch the Pink By Design Ustream of the stamp release and Design Team Call on Friday night????? Awesome release!!! And if you are looking for details of the DT call and all the new stamp sets, check out THIS link. I would love to see some of you on the DT!! Make sure you apply - I never in a million years thought I would make that team and I DID!! And it has been soooo awesome! We're like a little family.

Onto my layout for today! I was inspired by the sketch for the Wacky Wednesday Challenge over at More Than Favors.

I love this picture of Bria from our recent trip to Disney... Maybe not so much the picture, but what she said to Fairy Godmother... Fairy Godmother asked Bria who her favorite character was and in true Bria fashion she replied,"CAPTAIN HOOK!". Most little girls would of course say a Princess, or Minnie Mouse. Not Bria. Captain Hook. It's one of my best memories from our trip actually, just because that is SO Bria.... I used the Pink By Design set, Inner Princess for the sentiment "You're the fairest of them all".

Isn't this carriage gorgeous? Here's my little trick for Disney cuts... I had how intricate these are, so whenever possible I leave a cut out and add the detail by hand with stickles, liquid pearls, even pen. It's just so much easier and it also adds dimension at the same time. Of course, I also had to use my Pink By Design journaling tags... Love these. You can probably tell, since I add them to almost every layout! :) Behind the carriage, I also added a branch that I took off some "flowers" I got at Michaels on clearance after Christmas. It's super sparkly...

I used a cheap stamp for the banner and it definitely shows... All I have ever used was PBD stamps and then I picked up a set of cheap stamps that were on sale. Never again...

The 'magical' title is from Ashlyn's Alphabet. I added some little rhinestones in different places on the layout to give it some sparkle. The background page also sparkles so in real life this layout just glimmers.

I hope you love this layout as much as I do! I have another Disney layout I'm going to post soon!! I did it a while ago and kind of forgot about it!!!!

Bee-uty!!

Hi Crafters!! Another layout!! Woohoo! I know I said I was going to work on Father's Day cards next but I have had this idea in my mind for a little while and I got my order of Peachy Keen stamps (my mother's day gift) in the mail on Friday and with it was my Happy Lashes set!! SOOO cute, I couldn't wait to use them.

I love the little bees from Create A Critter!! Especially when they have a bow in their "hair"!! But then again, everything looks more cute with a bow in its hair! :)

Details...
- little bees are cut @ 2.5" from Create A Critter. Their faces are stamped with the Happy Lashes face set from Peachy Keen & instead of messing around with the tiny little layer for their stingers, I just used silver Liquid Pearl.  Then I added some pink chalk on their cheeks, a pink bow, and a little stitching with my black ZIG pen. I used my white Gelly roll pen to add "stitching" behind the bees to make it look like they were flying. I wanted to try my new SewEasy for this but just didn't have the time....
- 'Bee-uty' title is cut using Ashlyn's Alphabet and I welded the letter together on my Gypsy and added some stitching with my white Gelly roll and some pink Martha Stewart glitter on the heart
- Beehive was also cut from Create A Critter @ 4.5". I embossed it with my polka dot Cuttlebug folder, added some stickles on some of the embossed dots and "stitched" around the outside with my black ZIG pen
- the background paper is just plain black Recollections paper and I added some tiny little hearts with my white gelly roll pen to give it a little more detail

This weeks Let's Face it Friday Challenge at Peachy Keen is Designer's Choice!! We were supposed to use our favorite set of PK faces but since I just received my Happy Lashes set in the mail I really wanted to use those... They will probably be my NEW favorite set!! My old favorite set was the Wide Eyed Kids set, but of course, I love them all!! :)

Have a great day!!

Wishes

Hello! So I didn't get a lot of time with my new cartridges yet.  :(  I had a playdate for my girls with some of their buddies at my house this morning - 6 kids under the age of 2 1/2! Not gonna lie... I was pretty nervous since our house is brand new, we've only been living here for about 6 weeks. It was a lot of work having those little ones here! So when my girls went down for their nap, I did NOTHING! And it was great. Here is a card I had started on a few days ago and was finally able to add a few little finishing touches this afternoon while the girls were playing nicely.

Here are some details....
- cupcake is from Simply Charmed
-Make A Wish sentiment is My Pink Stamper
- twine from The Twinery
- oval the sentiment is stamped on is from Ashlyn's Alphabet
- EK Success border punch and another EK success round corner punch
- watermark pen & gelly roll pen for added touches
- popped cupcake up on some foam stickers
I was actually pleasantly surprised with the Ashlyn's Alphabet cart! The only reason I bought it was because I was planning on doing some vinyl for the girls' rooms but after seeing what it can all cut I love it!
