9 Ladies Dancing

Hello Friends!!! Today is my day to post over at Pink By Design!! Here is what I have posted....

*******************************************************************************************

Hi Everyone!! Candace from Scrappin' 2 Little Princesses here!! How awesome have these 12 days of Christmas posts been???? Such an amazing design team, right?! :) Can't wait to show you my layout!! Of COURSE I had to put my own little spin on the 9 Ladies Dancing and make it 9 Pretty-Little-Girls Dancing! Was anyone surprised?!? I am all over anything that has to do with little girls! So here is my layout!!
Supplies:
- Twinkle Toes Cricut Lite Cart, Storybook Cart, Simply Charmed Cart, Gypsy Wanderings Cart, Winter Frolic Cart
Distressed Music background stamp and Christmas Wishes by Pink By Design
- Recollections paper
- bling from dollarstore
- glossy accents
- ribbon

Tip/Technique:
To created the red/green distressed image, stamped in the background, I inked my stamp up in random spots using my green ink. Using red ink I filled in the dry spots. When I stamped the image I got a nice mix of red and green music notes! Then I used both the red and green ink to add some distressing around the edges.
I hope you gained some inspiration from my layout!! Enjoy the last 3 of the 12 days of Christmas!!! :)

SO Thankful

Hi crafty friends!!! There is SNOW here this morning, lots of it! I hate snow... but today it put me in the mood for Christmas! I bought my daughter a CD of Christmas songs yesterday so that's playing in our house today! I usually don't get into the Christmas spirit until the first of December, but I got 1/2 my Christmas shopping done yesterday so I'm in the mood already! :) I also went a little crazy with the sale that was on in Michaels yesterday.... I'm going to do a haul video to show you soon! Onto the layout that I teased you with last night!!!!

I was inspired by the sketch challenge over at Peachy Keen, as well as my win from their blog hop not too long ago. I won the scarecrow stamps and accessories! Talk about a great win!!!!

Of course I used my new journaling tags from Pink by Design on here too! I think these stamps are going to be a part of every layout!!! My 'Thankful' title was cut from Storybook cricut cartridge.

So for the first time ever, I tried paper piecing! I love how this cute little scarecrow turned out!!! Isn't she cute?! I used mostly Recollections paper on this layout... I also used Recollections pearls, Michaels ribbon, glaze pend to color the straw, and more ribbon from my stash.

I also have some other things I want to share with you! First of all, I know I need to announce some winners!! I'm hoping to announce these to you either later on today or else tomorrow - depending on how the rest of my day goes!

There is a GREAT sale going on over at Pink by Design that is still going on today!!! Make sure to check it out, a lot of sets are on sale PLUS shipping is only $0.11!!! Gotta love that!! Especially those of us who are out of the US!!!

Second, I'm now a part of the Seasonal Design Team over at My Cricut Craft Room!! For the first 25 days in December Erica's team is going to be sharing 25 projects a DAY!!!! There is going to be some amazing inspiration over there for the month of December!!! There are still spots open on this DT if you are interested, she's looking for 50-60 members!! I would love for some of my crafty friends to be on the team with me! Check it out! :)

Hope you all have a great long weekend, I'll be back tomorrow with another layout!!!!

In the Glittery Garden

Hello!!!! How is everyone doing?? Are you Americans gearing up for Black Friday? Even though we don't have Black Friday here in Canada I still get excited for it! I love seeing all of your haul videos, and hearing stories about all the awesome deals you got!! There is actually a great deal at Micheals in Canada this weekend too so I think I may make the trip to the city to do some shopping. My husband may have half a day off tomorrow so I'm hoping he'll stay home with the kids so I can have a break (I really need one!) and get some Christmas shopping done. Yes - I am already Christmas shopping! I think I start earlier every year!

Anyways, I have another layout today!!! Yep, on a roll! I know! :) I really like this layout because it's summery!! I get a little down in the long, cold winter months up here so I like to remind myself that before we know it, summer will be here again! :)

I actually made this layout based on a sketch from Sketchy Thursdays, but didn't get around to posting it in time to make the challenge! :( Oh well.... Next time! :) I'm going to get it into the Wacky Wednesday Challenge over at my friend Paula's page (More than Favors!!)

I used my new Journalling stamp set from Pink By Design for this layout - actually, I've used this set on every layout since I got them!! Talk about a must have set! The butterflies and paper are from the DCWV Blossoms and Butterflies stack. I made the felt flowers myself and as soon as I plan on making a video showing how I made this! Hopefully coming soon!

I titled this laytout "In the Glittery Garden" after a book that I read my girls all the time. It was actually the first book my daughter Bria ever got!

I added rhinestones to all the embellishments to add some sparkle to the page. I hope you like it!!! I have another layout to share as well, just have to put a couple finishing touches on it tonight and hopefully will have the post up tomorrow! Have a great Thursday!!! Especially to those of you who start your weekend tonight! :)

Fairytale

**** Click HERE for my current GIVEAWAY!! *****
Hi crafters!!! I have yet ANOTHER layout for you today!! I am on such a layout streak. I love making layouts...  This is the first layout I have completed from our trip to Florida earlier this year. I can't wait to do the rest!!! I used another new stamp set from Pink By Design that will be released this Friday night!!! SO exciting!!!

I used sooo many of my favorite things in this layout!!! The stickers are from EAD Designs (sure beats trying to put together intricate Princess die-cuts....). The paper is from Teresa Collins, and the sentiment is from a brand new release from Pink By Design.

Such a pretty sentiment...

I added Recollections rhinestones all over to give it some royal sparkle!

And of course the Prince!!! Know what I realized when I was making this layout.... I don`t even really know the story of Sleeping Beauty!! I didn`t even know her name was Aurora until we went to Disney!! Guess I need to brush up on my fairytales now that Bria is getting into them!!!

Hope you enjoyed my layout today!! Just wanted to remind everyone again about the Pink By Design release this Friday, and the Hello Kitty blog hop Saturday and Sunday!! Happening 3 days!! :)

Princess In Training

HI!!!! It's been a long time! :) I decided to take a small breather from posting much this week since this past month was so crazy! My nephews have been here visiting as well so I have been enjoying time with all the kids and haven't done much crafting. I HAVE done some crafty shopping though... I was trying to make a haul video (my first video!!) last night but things were just not going my way... I can't find my tripod and the memory card in my camera decided to corrupt! Hopefully soon I can get a video of all my great findings for you guys!

It's Brittyn's very first birthday on the 9th so I made her up a card yesterday. Her birthday party is going to have a Baby Disney Princess theme.

I have only ever made a couple shape cards and I wanted to try one for the Peachy Keen Challenge this week. I got the card base from Birthday Bash. I embossed the cream layer with a dotted Cuttlebug folder. The Pink swirls in the background came from the Storybook cartridge. The cut was a square and I just glued it onto the cream circle and trimmed off the excess. The card base is misted with Pearl Glimmermist. In person it has such a beautiful shimmer to it. The baby was cut from Baby Steps, and her crown was from Once Upon A Princess. Her cute little face is from the Wide Eyed Kids set. I stamped her onesie with the medium dotted stamp by Peachy Keen. The scalloped oval for the sentiment was cut from Gypsy Wanderings and the 'Princess (in training)' was from a Scrappy Mom's set. The ribbon and bling are both from Michaels.

I hope you like!!! Brittyn really is a little princess so this card really suits her!!

I have a couple other pieces of news to share!! :) A couple weeks ago my layout was randomly picked as the winner of the EAD Designs Color Challenge!! I cannot wait to go shopping in their store, they have the cutest stickers!!!

I was also picked in the Top 5 for the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Me Monday Challenge!!! I was soooo excited!! This is the first time I have been choosen based on talent, and not just a random pick!!!

Anyways, I hope to get back into my craft room soon! My sister in law is due to have a little baby girl any day and I need to get her a card and a bag!! PLUS both of my girls have birthdays within the next few weeks that I need to get ready for!! Whew! I have a lot to do! Better get at it! :) Have a great day!!!

Another Baby Layout!!

HI!!! So I finished up another layout this morning!! Mission Scrapbook CatchUP is going great lately! If our family heads to Disney this fall I know I'll NEED to be caught up before then!! Check out another pic of my hairy little baby when she was only a week old...

I was inspired by the Sketchy Thursdays Challenge this week:

Of course - DETAILS!!
- I inked almost everything on this page with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Vintage Photo
- coat is cut from Kate's ABCs at 3", pink layer was embossed with a dot Cuttlebug folder, Recollections pearls as buttons
- ribbon is from my stash (I inked this as well...)
- corner embellishments are cut from Storybook at 2"
- 'Baby' title is from Gypsy Wanderings, ribbon is from Michaels
- doodles with white gelly roll pen

I thought I would show a pic of how I applied the cream ribbon.....

All I did was run a strip or two of ATG tape along the edge of the paper. Then I stuck the ribbon onto the paper, bunching it up randomly. Pretty simple! :)

I also haven't been contacted yet by the winner of my giveaway (the $10 PBD gift certificate)! If the winner doesn't email me by the 22nd then I will choose another winner. Check out THIS post to see if the winner is you!

so much LOVE!!

I'm back again - 2nd post of the day!!!!! My hubby had the day off today and it's raining so all his yardwork is on hold again!! Yay for me!! That means I get to sneak into my craft room while he plays with the girls! :)

I was looking at the Pink By Design Community this morning and I was totally inspired by their current challenge. If you haven't yet, you really need to head over there to check out the message boards!! AND the newest challenge!! Here is what I came up with...

Not very often can I say I LOVE how my layouts turn out, but I am soooo happy with this one! It could have something to do with the picture, it's my fav picture of all time!!!

I cut out the flowers on with my Cricut and then stamped them with sentiments, then inked the edges for a vintage print look.

Details...
- flowers are cut from Cindy Loo. I only cut 2 layers of the flower, the biggest layer and the small black flower on the inside. Then I stamped them using the All Girl set from Pink By Design, inked the edges using a makeup sponge and regular black ink and added a pearl in the center
- the swirly background square was cut from the Storybook cartridge
- the 'so much love' tag was cut with my paper trimmer and then I used a Martha Stewart border punch for the edge. The sentiment was from the Big Thoughts set by Pink By Design
- pearls, ribbon and paper from Michaels

Hope you like!! I love this pic.... Check out the Challenge on the Pink By Design blog!! Great Prizes being given away!!

Find Joy Everyday

Happy Sunday! Today's project is one that I have been trying to find time to do for a while now. Before Easter, Wal-Mart had these little mailboxes for $3. My 2 1/2 year old, Bria, LOVES opening mail and when I showed her these little mailboxes she was so excited!

I asked her how she would like me to decorate it for her and she told me she wanted a baby deer (why a baby deer I have no idea...) and I went with it! It was the perfect opportunity for me to try out my new cloud stamp I purchased from Pink By Design a little while ago. I did't have a LOT of time to dedicate to the mailbox but I wanted to come up with something cute Bria would like... I also saw the latest Let's Face it Friday Challenge on the Peachy Keen blog and thought this was the perfect opportunity to take on this project.

I thought this sentiment suited this project perfectly. Bria is such a happy little girl and it's so important to me that as she grows up she continues to find joy in every day. My plan is to use this mailbox to give Bria little notes and treats when she is being a good girl. Something for her to get excited about each day! :)

So here are my details...
- mailbox was $3 at wal-mart
- I used my Pink By Design Cloudy Day background stamp to make the cloud background paper. When I bought this stamp I planned on using it for the backgrounds on A2 sized cards but I found out it is actually super easy to match up to make large backgrounds with! I am a total rookie stamper and this background turned out great! None of my pics show but the cloud background wraps all the way around the mailbox. I used a Ditto ink pad I picked up for a really good sale price at Michaels. It made an AWESOME look combined with the cloud stamp.
-  the deer was cut @ 2.5" from Create A Critter, I used the Peachy Keen Character Face Parts for the little face on the deer.
- the flower stems are also cut (not sure which size and I deleted it from my gypsy...) from Create A Critter but I cut off the flower shapes and added my own flowers from my stash
- butterfly is cut at 1" from Create A Critter
- I made the grass by using the grass from Paper Doll Dressup, copied it and then mirrored it. I used a rectangle shape from Gypsy Wanderings and customized the dimensions (5.5"x6"), then welded the grass to the rectangle. I cut another piece like this but made it 1/2" longer so that when I taped the grass down it would overlap the other layer of grass. I inked the grass using Vintage Photo ink by Tim Holtz
- the frame around the sentiment on the lid of the mailbox was cut from Storybook at 1.5", the bottom layer was stamped with the same Pink By Design cloud background stamp. Sentiment 'Find Joy Everyday' is from Pink By Design Enjoy the Journey set (I LOVE this set!!)
- ribbon around edges is from the Dollarstore and was glued using a hot glue gun
- Doodles with my white Gelly Roll pen for finishing touches!

I am also entering this project into the Challenge Me Monday Challenge at Fantabulous Cricut.
I hope you like it! I would have loved to spend more time and really make it detailed but it IS going directly into the hands of a destructive little 2.5 year old, so I didn't want to go too overboard! :) Hope everyone's having an awesome weekend!!

Brittyn's First Easter!

Hello! So this year is Brittyn's very first Easter!! I have always taken cute little themed pics with my kids on special occasions but I'm not sure if it's going to happen for Easter this year, unless I get on it quickly!! Here is are a couple pics of Bria that I took before her first Easter.

I decided to get ahead of the game this year and scrap a quick layout for some of the pictures I will take of Brittyn with her Easter basket. I never do pages ahead of time but I thought I would change things up!

When working on my girls' scrapbooks I'm trying to find the balance between doing quick layouts and still keeping them super cute. I'm getting behind on their scrapbooks and I would really like to keep up. I find scrapping current pics is so much easier, so time is of the essence! :)

Here are some details...
- "easter wonder" and bunny in the basket are cut from Baby Steps. Bunny face is from Peachy Keen Wide Eyed and Bushy Tailed Set, Martha Stewart glitter was used on the eggs (I LOVE MS glitter pens!!), flower in the bunny's hair is from my stash
- scalloped circle is from Gypsy Wanderings
- "lacey" strip embellishment is from the Storybook cartridge
- like always, white Gelly Roll pen for stitching!

Challenges I'm going to enter this layout in...
- Catch the Bug Challenge HERE
- Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Me Monday HERE
- Creatalicious Challenges HERE
- Creative Belli Blog HERE
