First off I would like to thank Jessica for letting me join in on the celebration!! Second - Congrats on your one year blogaversary Jess!! Looking forward to seeing all the great things on your blog on the year to come!!

Our projects on the hop today were inspired by a project of Jessica's blog. When I was browsing through all of her past creations, this one really stood out to me...

(To check out more info on pics of this project choose THIS link)

And here is the card I made...

I have been wanting to use this cut from Kate's ABCs since I got the cart a long while ago. This was one of those carts that I HAD to have, and haven't used it near enough... I used my Pink By Design Labels set to make the Happy Birthday tag.

I used a really neat shimmery Momenta ink for the background (Pressed Tin by Market Street stamps), but it didn't show up well in the first pic so I took a couple more...

I also used my sewing machine on this card. I am falling in love with stitching everything now! I think you'll be seeing more of my stitching in the future...

Now that you've seen my card, I should tell you all about the candy being given away in this hop!!!

Another Baby Layout!!

HI!!! So I finished up another layout this morning!! Mission Scrapbook CatchUP is going great lately! If our family heads to Disney this fall I know I'll NEED to be caught up before then!! Check out another pic of my hairy little baby when she was only a week old...

I was inspired by the Sketchy Thursdays Challenge this week:

Of course - DETAILS!!
- I inked almost everything on this page with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Vintage Photo
- coat is cut from Kate's ABCs at 3", pink layer was embossed with a dot Cuttlebug folder, Recollections pearls as buttons
- ribbon is from my stash (I inked this as well...)
- corner embellishments are cut from Storybook at 2"
- 'Baby' title is from Gypsy Wanderings, ribbon is from Michaels
- doodles with white gelly roll pen

I thought I would show a pic of how I applied the cream ribbon.....

All I did was run a strip or two of ATG tape along the edge of the paper. Then I stuck the ribbon onto the paper, bunching it up randomly. Pretty simple! :)

I also haven't been contacted yet by the winner of my giveaway (the $10 PBD gift certificate)! If the winner doesn't email me by the 22nd then I will choose another winner. Check out THIS post to see if the winner is you!

Pool Party!! (In February!)

Hey Guys!! Happy Saturday! Last night I got another layout completed!! Only about 200 more to go (and if time stands still and I don't take anymore pics of the girls) and I'll have Bria & Brittyn's scrabooks caught up!! :) I'll probably try to get a few Father's Day cards next so the layouts may actually be put on the back burner once again...

Here's the layout I came up with last night. I had two challenges in mind when I worked on this: Scrappy Mom's Terrific Tuesday (Life's A Beach) and More Than Favor's Wacky Wednesday (Pink, teal, cream & brown).

These pics were taken on a COLD February day... (I think it was about -26 degrees C outside). I actually think one of my first posts ever talked about this day... Check it out HERE!! If you don't feel like checking out the link, long story short: our sun room was empty - and hot from all the windows without blinds yet - so we set the kiddie pool up in there. The kids had a blast!!

Isn't Elmo cute?! This was the first time I used this cart, one word - INTRICATE! I've heard that about a lot of the Disney carts too but have yet to use one.

Here are some details....
- Elmo is cut from Sesame Street Seasons @ 3.5" - I don't think I would ever cut a character any smaller than this - there were some tiny little pieces...
- sand pail is cut @ 1.5" also from Sesame Street Seasons
- base paper is  a Me & My Big Ideas "flowery" stack - it has no name on it...
- red strip of background paper is stamped with a swirly stamp that I have had forever and not even sure of the brand, I got in a clearance bin somewhere... I used white Martha Stewart ink and it looked awesome on the red paper
- pink background strip was embossed with my Tiny Bubbles cuttlebug folder and inked with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distressed Ink, I also used my EK Success border punch around the edge
- brown strip was punched down both sides with Martha Stewart border punch
- Title was cut from 2 carts - 'pool' was cut from Kate's ABC's and 'Party' was cut from Life's A Beach
- ribbon and button from my stash
- pearls are Recollection from Michaels
- twine from The Twinery
- and of course my beloved white gelly roll pen for finishing touches

I received a BIG stash of goodies in the mail yesterday and I'm hoping I get lucky and my kids nap at the same time today so I can tear into them!! :) If all goes well, I'll be back tomorrow with another project!!

Beautiful Inside & Out

Hello!! I have gotten to spend so much time in my crafting room lately!! It has been awesome!! I came up with this card so quickly. I find the cuts from Kate's ABC's are so detailed that I really don't have to add a lot of anything else to make them look nice. I really hope ProvoCraft comes up with another cart like this one (other than Nate's ABC's - which is on my wishlist!!).

Details...
- Cut is from Kate's ABC's
- used Martha Stewart lace border puch
- sentiment 'Beautiful on the inside & out' - which I LOVE - is from Pink By Design All Girl set
- yellow purse is embossed with Tiny Bubbles Cuttlebug folder
- pearls from my stash & doodles with my white gelly roll pen

I inked around almost everything with Tim Holtz Distress Ink to give it a bit of a vintage look. When I use this technique I find using a make up sponge (from the dollar store) works the best! I had purchased a blending tool a while ago, used it once and then went back to my sponge! Just a little tip if you would like try this tecnique and don't want to purchase a blending tool...

I may even make a bag to match this (surprise surprise! :)). I've been lucky with the amount of time I've had in my craft room so I'm hoping my luck continues!! It would be amazing if my Mother's Day gift was a whole day alone to do scrapbooking... I can dream, can't I?? :)

Have you guys been up on all the stamp releases this week??? Wow is all I have to say. My wallet is getting mighty itchy! :) My Pink Stamper released some awesome sets, as well as Pink By Design. I saw a super cute set of Scrappy Mom stamps released this morning... It's a princess set! I think that's definitely on my wish list!

Hopefully be back soon!!

Terrific Tuesday Challenge @ Scrappy Mom's

Hi!! Someday I will get back to scrapbooking.... My girls' scrapbooks are getting really behind these days! I can honestly say I never thought I would develop such a love for making cards!! So the card I made today is for a little girl. All my friends are in the having baby stage so if you're wondering what's up with all the baby cards and bags I've been making, that is why! :)

The Terrific Tuesday Challenge (HERE) over at Scrappy Mom's is to use the New Arrival cartridge. Unfortunately I don't have that cart.... But I DO have Kate's ABC's and I've been dying to use the little baby shoes!! One of the most fun parts of having two little girls is all the shoes!! :) Actually, I think even if I had a boy there would be no shortage of little shoes around here!

Here are some details....
- card is A2, as are the majority of my cards...
- shoes are cut from Kate's ABC's @ 3"
- EK success border punch (this is my favorite border punch!)
- plain satin ribbon
- pearls are from dollar store
- doodles with white gelly roll pen

The only thing missing from this card is a cute little sentiment. I'm really lacking in that department. Since I just started using stamps a couple months ago I don't have a great selection. I'm working on it though! :)

Have an awesome day!!

Hello Everyone!! Welcome to the April Bunny Blog Hop hosted by Made by Jacqueline!

First off I would like to thank Jacqueline for inviting me to be a part of this blog hop! It is my very first one ever and I am so excited!!
If you were just visiting Amber's blog then you are in the right spot. If you would like to start at the
beginning please click HERE.  You don't want to miss all the blog candy being given away!!
In honor of Easter we are all making a project with a bunny
on it! A few days ago I made a framed princess picture and I loved how it turned out. I LOVE the Kate's ABC's cart and I haven't had time to make a project with it yet so I decided I would make another framed picture. It turned out so adorable! I'm planning on giving it as a baby gift for a little girl.

Details....
- frame is 8"x10"
- base is plain kraft carstock, with a pink patterned paper cut 1/2" smaller all the way around
- pink base layer was inked with Tim Holtz distress ink
- image was cut @ 5.94" from Kate's ABCs
- grass, stroller and little girl's dress was inked with Tim Holtz ink and dress was embossed with Swiss Dots cuttlebug folder
- pearls as flower centers and buttons on stroller wheels were from dollarstore
- doodles with white Gelly Roll Pen

I took the picture out of the frame and thought I would show a close-up of the faux stitching around the outside. It adds so much when looking at it in person.
***** BLOG CANDY CLOSED****
I also have some blog candy for one lucky hopper! It's an assortment of Sticko stickers and K & Company embellishments! For a chance to win I would LOVE LOVE LOVE if you become a follower (but I won't force you... :)) and leave a comment! Please also leave a way I can get ahold of you!
