Crawling Cutie

So my quest to catch up on the girls' scrapbooks before the new baby arrives isn't doing too great... I think I'm going to have to cut down the amount of pics I scrap!! Either that, or I will need my own library just for scrapbooks by the time they are 18! :)

This is one layout I couldn't skip though...

I was sooo torn when picking out my supplies to work on this layout... I am always sooo girly, I actually VERY rarely dress my girls in blue or green just because I always think that they are GIRLS! Girls need PINK and PURPLE, don't they?! ;) I'm slowly getting over this.... but when I was working on the layout I needed to match Brittyn's shirt with the colors of the page. Just a weird complex of mine! :) I made sure to add lots of bows to bring some "girly" to it!

I used some Making Memories adhesive letters. LOVE these!! The letters are already cut, but you adhere them down, peel the top layer off and then can adhere any glitter or flock you'd like to them. I wish I remembered where I got them, I'm using them up like crazy!

I actually dusted off my Cricut for this cut!! Amazing!! Isn't she a cute little crawling worm?? I added some glossy accents to her cute little Peachy face, as well as some Blush copic to her cheeks for color.

Here is what I used for this layout...
-  Create A Critter Cricut Cartridge
- twine from The Twinery
- Journaling, So Big! and Artisan Tags stamp sets from Pink By Design
- Making Memories adhesive letters
- Martha Stewart glitter
- Momenta and Me & My Big Ideas paper
- Peachy Keen face stamps
- paper crimper
- Recollections pearls
- buttons from stash
- doodles with white Gelly roll pen

This layout was inspired by this week's Ink It Pink Challenge over at Pink By Design. The theme this week is 'Show Us Some Sparkle'! Always fun for me! Love anything shiny!! Make sure to get your projects in (you can enter as many times as you'd like!!), there is always great prizes to be won!!

Life Moments

Hey Everyone!!! I haven't posted for a few days!! Just taking a little time to get ready for Christmas, as I'm sure many of you have been. I wanted to announce the winner from the 80s Blog Hop that Random.org picked. The winner of the assortment of twine from The Twinery is....

Chriss America Real america57@comcast.net

I will be contacting you shortly for your mailing address!!! Congrats, and thanks so much for stopping by!! :)

Onto the layout I JUST finished up!! I created it for the color challenge over at EAD Designs... These pics were from the day Brittyn was born and Bria came to meet her for the first time. One day I will never forget! I have always dreamed of having two little girls who would grow up and be best friends! :)

I have been playing with other styles of scrapbooking lately, trying to learn new things. I ALWAYS come back to the "cutesy" projects!!! I think that is where my style is supposed to stay... :)

How cute are these froggies?!? The came from Create A Critter, and I used my new Winter Wonderland Peachy Keen stamp set for their faces. I also added a little bling, to make them girly! All the paper I used on this project - with the exception of the kraft - is Momenta.

The title for this page, "Life Moments" is cut from Sophisticated. Love this cart, but the cricut doesn't make the cuts very well unless they are LARGE sizes.... Cameo -1, Cricut - 0... :) The little dragonfly is also from Create A Critter.

This sentiment is from the Pink By Design set Friends to the End and I thought it fit the friendship formed by sisters perfectly!

I hope you enjoyed my layout today!!!!! Cross your fingers for me, the winner of the EAD Challenge gets a guest designer spot on their blog!!

Have a Bee-utiful Day!

**** Click HERE for my current GIVEAWAY!! *****

Hey Everyone!! BRRRR... Winter definitely feels like it's on its way here.... We were outside for a few hours this morning with a landscaper planning out what we're going to do with our yard come spring and I am STILL frozen! Is it sad to say that I already wish we were heading into spring?? I thought a "spring-y" project would help warm me up... :)

I love this little bee.... and the Peachy Keen face just MAKES this!! The inside of the card is stamped with a sentiment that reads "Hope you have a Bee-utiful day!!" in pink ink. It's from the Honey Pie set.

I had a friend ask me to make her a card and bag with a bumble bee on it and this is what I came up with. The paper is from the Me & My Big Ideas Mambi stack and the cute little bee is from Create A Critter. I used the Happy Lashes Peachy Keen stamp set for the bee's cute little face. Speaking of PK, if you follow me on Facebook at all you may have seen me mention that I have been having a great week... In the last PK blog hop I won a super cute scarecrow set of stamps along with a scarecrow accessories set!! On top of that, I won a $15 gift certificate to the PK store!! Jackpot! :) I'm also waiting on some of my stamps from the newest release of Pink By Design stamps to come in the mail. I can't wait to play with them and show you what I make! The new release is scheduled for November 4th, I'll have more details posted within the next few days....

Hope you all have an awesome day!! Come back again tomorrow for another fun  layout using EAD Designs stickers!

Apple Of My Eye

Hi!! So Sarah over at Pink Cricut is having a little Sew Easy Link Up Party! I thought I would dust mine off and give it a try - since I've only ever used it once. I got a sewing machine for my birthday and now I kind of turn my nose up at my sew easy... :( Anyways, here is my layout...

I used a K&Company stack by K&Company (Carolyn Griffith?) as well as some regular kraft cardstock. I also used some Peachy Keen faces (Happy Lashes) and a Pink By Design stamp (1st smile). The journalling card was a stamp I have had forever... not sure of the brand. I used my sew easy for a touch of stitching and also my white gelly roll pen for faux stitching.

My title didn't stand out very well so I outlined it using a red Glaze pen (by Sakura).  I cut these apples from Create A Critter.

My buttons are basic grey and I used regular hemp cord for the bows.

I hope you like this layout!! I can't believe these pics are from over a year ago already!!! Time sure flies!!

Back tomorrow with another layout!!

Today is my day to post over at the Pink By Design blog!! Head on over for a post about stamping with bleach. It can get a really neat result (check out the barn)!!! Head over and check it out!!! :)

We took the girls and my brother's nephews to a corn maze a couple weeks ago. They LOVED it! There was a petting zoo, rides and so much more. Here are the pics from that day that fit into this layout...

If I have more time, I'll post all the details later on today!!

Horsie Hello

**** Click HERE for my current GIVEAWAY!! *****

Hi Everyone!! I have been working like crazy to get a few projects done so that I can schedule some posts while I am away for a couple weeks. So far it's going good, I hope it keeps up!! I have a lot of ideas brewing in my head for projects, especially layouts, so wish me luck in finding the time - and energy! :)

Here is one cute little card I wanted to show you...

There is a rodeo in town this this weekend so I was inspired by that. I used Create A Critter for the horse and horse shoe. The background was stamped with my Paisley background stamp by PBD, using a Versamark Watermark ink pad. I also inked the edges and bottom layer of the horseshoe with black ink. The 'Hello' sentiment (as well as the 'Happy Birthday' sentiment on the inside) is from the Big Thoughts set by Pink By Design. I used my white gelly roll pen to add some details. And that's it! Pretty simple! :)

See you all tomorrow!!! Have a great Monday! :)

Precious Cargo

*** Click HERE for my Celebrate Summer Link-Up Party!!***
*** Click HERE for my 350 follower GIVEAWAY!! ***

Hi Everyone!! Hope you are having a great weekend so far! Brittyn's had a fever the last two days so she's been pretty miserable. :( She's been either in my arms or on my lap for the majority of the day (including now). I hope she feels better soon, poor little monkey.

So I have ANOTHER layout today!! The pics are from when we were taking Brittyn home from the hospital. I made it for the Pink By Design Anniversary Marathon! If you haven't stopped over there yet, you really should. There is a new project being posted every hour until tonight!! The DT did such an amazing job on their projects. ALSO, they are having a 30% off sale this weekend at the Pink By Design store. You might want to check that out, I have never seen them offer 30% off before... some great deals to be had! I know I couldn't resist, and may have went a tad overboard...

I used the So Big set by PBD to add Brittyn's weight the day she left the hospital (bottom right hand corner of LO). I love this set for doing a baby scrapbook, wish I would've had it for Bria's first year!

I used the Hello Kitty Font cart for 'precious' and Baby Steps for 'cargo'. The letters were welded together on my gypsy. The train (3") and bear (2") were cut from Create A Critter. The bear's face was from the Wide Eyed and Bushy Tailed set by Peachy Keen. I embossed the train using a flowered cuttlebug folder (sorry... don't have the name) and used Recollections pearls on the wheels. The baby is cut at 2.25" from Baby Steps and her face is from the Just Baby Faces set by Peachy Keen.

A little while ago I had someone ask me about the faces on a lot of my layouts/cards. I get them from an online store called Peachy Keen Stamps. They're actually having a sale this weekend, check it out! They have some adorable face stamps!!

I also want to say thanks to those of you who have participated in the Celebrate Summer Link Up Party so far!! It's had a great turnout and there are some AWESOME blogs linked up!! Keep spreading the word so we can discover more and more new blogs!!

SPLASH!!

Happy Saturday everyone!! SO did any of you guys catch the PBD Ustream last night?? I hope you did! AND I hope one of you won a prize!!

I have another layout for you today! I think I'm starting to gain some ground on the scrapbooking front! We're thinking of taking a trip so I want to get as caught up as I can since I know I will take a TON of pics on a vacation!!

This was from last summer... It was actually only a week or so before Bria became a big sister! I remember this SO clearly because I was trying to keep up with her in/out and racing around the pool when I was ready to POP! LOL

Cutest beach ball ever?? ;)

How I laid this page out was inspired by the Sketchy Thursdays Challenge this week. I also kept in mind a few other challenges when designing this: Wacky Wednesday @ More Than Favors, EAD's Color Challenge, and Challenge Me Monday at Fantabulous Cricut! Wow - that's a lot of challenges! :)

Here are some details....
  • beach ball is from Sesame Street Seasons cut @ 2", her cute little face is from the Princess set by Peachy Keen - I also tryed a StazOn ink pad for the first time and was soooo impressed!! Until now I had only used the cheapy stamp pads from WalMArt. Never again!
  • 'Splash' title is from Create A Critter, cut at 2.25". The water splashes in it were embellished with Glossy Accents
  • I used Birthday Bash for the banners, cut at 2" and hung with red twine from The Twinery
  • journalling tag is cut from Gypsy Wanderings @ 4"
  • the big blue pearls are from K&Company
  • EK Success border punch
  • ribbon from Michaels
  • doodles with white gelly roll pen
And that's all!! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!! :)

Monkeyin' Around!!

Hi Everyone!!! I am so happy to be posting today! :) This week has been amazing for us... The weather has been AWESOME (finally) and my girls have been in their bathing suits everyday!! We've been doing all kinds of fun things from going to the community outside pool, to going shopping and to the spray park and also playing in our own little blow up pool on our deck. I hope this weather keeps up!!

A couple weeks ago my husband had a day off work so we went to the city and took the girls to the zoo! I just couldn't wait to scrap the pics from our day...

This page is for Brittyn's scrapbook. Here are the pics that are going onto the pages (once I get them developed...).

She was sooo excited when they fed the baby monkies!! It was adorable!! (I think it may have actually been the bottle she was so excited about, but in my mind, it was the monkies....)

I just picked this paper stack up at Michaels last time I was there and I LOVE the color combinations in it!! It's he Carolyn Gavin stack by K&Company.

Here are the details...
  • title, monkey and all leaves are from Create A Critter (all cut @ 3")
  • all paper is either Recollections for from the K&Company Carolyn Gavin stack
  • twine from The Twinery
  • buttons from BasicGrey
  • doodles with white gelly roll pen
I would LOVE to see all your ideas for ZOO layouts!! Post them HERE in the PBD forum so we can all be inspired!! :)

I hope you guys like!! :) I have been doing a lot of shopping for scrapbooking supplies this past week so I'm planning on showing you all my goods soon!! There is also a TON of great info from Pink By Design Stamps I am going to pass on soon - trust me... you don't want to miss out!!! :) Have an amazing day!!

Sleepy Baby Layout

Happy Tuesday Everyone!! Since yesterday my husband was rained out I got to spend a little unexpected time scrapbooking. I LOVE those days!! It was too rainy for him to work on our yard so I had an extra hand with the kids! :) Yay for me!

I'm so behind on the girls' scrapbooks... these pics are from when Brittyn was not even a month old!!

I was inspired by Sketchy Thursdays challenge this week.

Details....
  • Baby is cut from Baby Steps at 2". I stamped her face using the Just Baby Faces Peachy Keen set, chalked her cheeks to make them rosy and added a tiny little pearl to her barrette
  • clouds are cut from Create A Critter and embossed with Divine Swirls Cuttlebug folder
  • stars are also cut from Create A Critter and inked with Vintage Photo Tim Holtz Distress Ink. Sentiment on middle star is from the Baby Love set by Pink By Design
  • patterned paper is from the Baby Girl DCWV stack
  • pearls are Recollections
  • stitching with white gelly roll pen
Hope you like!!! :) I'll be back again soooooon!!

Tall As You, Dad!!

So I am realizing that these last two weeks I have been cranking out the projects in my craft room like crazy!! Noone has been sick, the girls have been sleeping well, we haven't had a hectic schedule.... I hope it stays like this for a while, I'm quite enjoying all this time in my craft room!! :)

I've had this idea for a card since I got my Our Fathers sentiment set from Pink By Design... I knew I wanted to use the giraffe along with this stamp but the latest Peachy Keen sketch challenge gave me the inspiration for the layout of the card.

Here are the details...
  • Card is A2 sized (letter size cardstock cut in 1/2 and then folded in half)
  • giraffe is from Create A Critter cut @ 4", it's mouth is from the Peachy Keen Character Face Part set and I hand drew the eyes (couldn't find an eye stamp small enough...). I inked him a bit so the yellow wasn't so bright
  • ribbon is from Michaels and I frayed the end a bit to give it a bit of a rough look so it would go with the inked look of the card
  • 'No matter how tall I get, I will always look up to you' sentiment on the inside of the card is from Our Fathers by Pink By Design
  • I embossed the little square under the giraffe using a Cuttlebug folder - sorry can't remember which one... - and I inked around it with Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Vintage Photo
  • I also inked the cream layer under the polka dotted paper with the same ink
  • I also added the usual stitching and details with my white gelly roll pen
Definitely not my best work but I still think it's cute. I'll be back tomorrow with another project!! :)

Bee-uty!!

Hi Crafters!! Another layout!! Woohoo! I know I said I was going to work on Father's Day cards next but I have had this idea in my mind for a little while and I got my order of Peachy Keen stamps (my mother's day gift) in the mail on Friday and with it was my Happy Lashes set!! SOOO cute, I couldn't wait to use them.

I love the little bees from Create A Critter!! Especially when they have a bow in their "hair"!! But then again, everything looks more cute with a bow in its hair! :)

Details...
- little bees are cut @ 2.5" from Create A Critter. Their faces are stamped with the Happy Lashes face set from Peachy Keen & instead of messing around with the tiny little layer for their stingers, I just used silver Liquid Pearl.  Then I added some pink chalk on their cheeks, a pink bow, and a little stitching with my black ZIG pen. I used my white Gelly roll pen to add "stitching" behind the bees to make it look like they were flying. I wanted to try my new SewEasy for this but just didn't have the time....
- 'Bee-uty' title is cut using Ashlyn's Alphabet and I welded the letter together on my Gypsy and added some stitching with my white Gelly roll and some pink Martha Stewart glitter on the heart
- Beehive was also cut from Create A Critter @ 4.5". I embossed it with my polka dot Cuttlebug folder, added some stickles on some of the embossed dots and "stitched" around the outside with my black ZIG pen
- the background paper is just plain black Recollections paper and I added some tiny little hearts with my white gelly roll pen to give it a little more detail

This weeks Let's Face it Friday Challenge at Peachy Keen is Designer's Choice!! We were supposed to use our favorite set of PK faces but since I just received my Happy Lashes set in the mail I really wanted to use those... They will probably be my NEW favorite set!! My old favorite set was the Wide Eyed Kids set, but of course, I love them all!! :)

Have a great day!!

Find Joy Everyday

Happy Sunday! Today's project is one that I have been trying to find time to do for a while now. Before Easter, Wal-Mart had these little mailboxes for $3. My 2 1/2 year old, Bria, LOVES opening mail and when I showed her these little mailboxes she was so excited!

I asked her how she would like me to decorate it for her and she told me she wanted a baby deer (why a baby deer I have no idea...) and I went with it! It was the perfect opportunity for me to try out my new cloud stamp I purchased from Pink By Design a little while ago. I did't have a LOT of time to dedicate to the mailbox but I wanted to come up with something cute Bria would like... I also saw the latest Let's Face it Friday Challenge on the Peachy Keen blog and thought this was the perfect opportunity to take on this project.

I thought this sentiment suited this project perfectly. Bria is such a happy little girl and it's so important to me that as she grows up she continues to find joy in every day. My plan is to use this mailbox to give Bria little notes and treats when she is being a good girl. Something for her to get excited about each day! :)

So here are my details...
- mailbox was $3 at wal-mart
- I used my Pink By Design Cloudy Day background stamp to make the cloud background paper. When I bought this stamp I planned on using it for the backgrounds on A2 sized cards but I found out it is actually super easy to match up to make large backgrounds with! I am a total rookie stamper and this background turned out great! None of my pics show but the cloud background wraps all the way around the mailbox. I used a Ditto ink pad I picked up for a really good sale price at Michaels. It made an AWESOME look combined with the cloud stamp.
-  the deer was cut @ 2.5" from Create A Critter, I used the Peachy Keen Character Face Parts for the little face on the deer.
- the flower stems are also cut (not sure which size and I deleted it from my gypsy...) from Create A Critter but I cut off the flower shapes and added my own flowers from my stash
- butterfly is cut at 1" from Create A Critter
- I made the grass by using the grass from Paper Doll Dressup, copied it and then mirrored it. I used a rectangle shape from Gypsy Wanderings and customized the dimensions (5.5"x6"), then welded the grass to the rectangle. I cut another piece like this but made it 1/2" longer so that when I taped the grass down it would overlap the other layer of grass. I inked the grass using Vintage Photo ink by Tim Holtz
- the frame around the sentiment on the lid of the mailbox was cut from Storybook at 1.5", the bottom layer was stamped with the same Pink By Design cloud background stamp. Sentiment 'Find Joy Everyday' is from Pink By Design Enjoy the Journey set (I LOVE this set!!)
- ribbon around edges is from the Dollarstore and was glued using a hot glue gun
- Doodles with my white Gelly Roll pen for finishing touches!

I am also entering this project into the Challenge Me Monday Challenge at Fantabulous Cricut.
I hope you like it! I would have loved to spend more time and really make it detailed but it IS going directly into the hands of a destructive little 2.5 year old, so I didn't want to go too overboard! :) Hope everyone's having an awesome weekend!!
