Princess, It's Your Day

Welcome Friends!!! I have something girly girl to show you today!! Bria got to go to her very first Birthday party the other day... She has been to her cousin's parties, but she was younger and she didn't even really know what was going on! LOL! This party was for two of her little friends from her Playschool class AND it was a princess party! She wore her fancy Belle dress and had her hair all pretty... We were there for about 5 minutes before she started acting really funny and ended up getting sick at the party and we had to go home. :( I think I might throw her her own Princess Party this year. :) Even though what she REALLY wants (she tells us) is a Sleepover Party with her boyfriend Caleb... YIKES!!! Yes, it starts at 3 years old apparently!!

These are the cards I made for the two Birthday Princesses.

Aren't they cute? I used my last doilies on these cards!! Guess I'll have to make a trip to the Dollarstore because apparently I use them a lot!!

Here is everything I used for this card...
- Once Upon A Princess Cricut Cart for the crown (which I also misted with my homemade glimmer mist)
- Momenta paper
- heart shaped rhinestones from the Dollarstore
- ribbon from Michaels
- sentiment is from Inner Princess from Pink By Design
- sewing machine

Hope you liked my card today!! I'm going to link it up over at Pink Cricut!! Make sure to head over there to see all the awesome projects other people have linked!! Great inspiration source!!!

Stop by again soon!! :)

Princess In Training

HI!!!! It's been a long time! :) I decided to take a small breather from posting much this week since this past month was so crazy! My nephews have been here visiting as well so I have been enjoying time with all the kids and haven't done much crafting. I HAVE done some crafty shopping though... I was trying to make a haul video (my first video!!) last night but things were just not going my way... I can't find my tripod and the memory card in my camera decided to corrupt! Hopefully soon I can get a video of all my great findings for you guys!

It's Brittyn's very first birthday on the 9th so I made her up a card yesterday. Her birthday party is going to have a Baby Disney Princess theme.

I have only ever made a couple shape cards and I wanted to try one for the Peachy Keen Challenge this week. I got the card base from Birthday Bash. I embossed the cream layer with a dotted Cuttlebug folder. The Pink swirls in the background came from the Storybook cartridge. The cut was a square and I just glued it onto the cream circle and trimmed off the excess. The card base is misted with Pearl Glimmermist. In person it has such a beautiful shimmer to it. The baby was cut from Baby Steps, and her crown was from Once Upon A Princess. Her cute little face is from the Wide Eyed Kids set. I stamped her onesie with the medium dotted stamp by Peachy Keen. The scalloped oval for the sentiment was cut from Gypsy Wanderings and the 'Princess (in training)' was from a Scrappy Mom's set. The ribbon and bling are both from Michaels.

I hope you like!!! Brittyn really is a little princess so this card really suits her!!

I have a couple other pieces of news to share!! :) A couple weeks ago my layout was randomly picked as the winner of the EAD Designs Color Challenge!! I cannot wait to go shopping in their store, they have the cutest stickers!!!

I was also picked in the Top 5 for the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Me Monday Challenge!!! I was soooo excited!! This is the first time I have been choosen based on talent, and not just a random pick!!!

Anyways, I hope to get back into my craft room soon! My sister in law is due to have a little baby girl any day and I need to get her a card and a bag!! PLUS both of my girls have birthdays within the next few weeks that I need to get ready for!! Whew! I have a lot to do! Better get at it! :) Have a great day!!!

Shimmer!

So I had one rough day yesterday (you know, one of THOSE days mom's...). But the good news is that I am having a GREAT day today!! Here are ALL my reasons.... I got my new Scrappy Moms Stamps (I will brag those up later in my post!), I had a couple hours at the spa with my mom, grandma, aunt and cousin (who is one of my best friends), AND I got the disc of proofs from the photoshoot I took Brittyn to the other day!! This could be one looong post so get comfortable! :)

Look at these adorable shots!! I'm going to have troubles deciding which ones I want to order prints of.... (skip this part if you're not into the personal stuff....)

The photographer never got any of her with her great big smile but I think they're pretty cute none the less.

And here is my project!!

These are pics of Bria when she was about 22 months old. I just got her ears pierced that day and it looked so cute!!

Check out my new Scrappy Moms Stamps!!! I love them!

This is my first set of Scrappy Moms Stamps and I am so happy with them! They come in a BIG sheet and the stamps are the perfect size! A lot of the sentiment stamps I have bought I find are a little too small but these are awesome! I love being able to incorporate them into a layout.

Details....
- Diamond (cut @ 2.7") was from Once Upon A Princess, covered in Martha Stewart glitter and Glossy Accents. I love covering glitter with Glossy Accents so the glitter doesn't fall off and end up everywhere...
- 'You sparkle' sentiment was from Scrappy Moms Happily Ever After set
- 'Shimmer' title is cut at 2.5" from Once Upon A Princess
- Twine is from The Twinery
- buttons, ribbon and jewels are from my stash
- striped pink paper is cut @ 9"x9" and is from the DCWV Baby Girl stack
- pink background layer is a full letter sized sheet
- stitching with my white Gelly Roll pen

With my layouts I always have to try to find a balance between quick and still super cute. Sometimes it's hard because I would love to add a whole bunch to the layouts but I know I just don't have the time... I'm working hard on catching up the girls' scrapbooks since I know summer will bring a lot more pictures to scrap... Wish me luck! :)

Sweet Birthday Wishes!!

Hello!!! Yesterday was such a great day!! It was BEAUTIFUL here! I had the girls outside all afternoon and I forgot how awesome it is to be able to get out of the house for a few hours at a time. And do you know what the best part of yesterday was?? I checked out Scrap-Making before I went to bed (a blog I usually stalk daily!) and I found out I won a STAMP SET!!!! I was soooooo excited! I never win anything! I think even my husband was excited for me! :) This is the set I won...

If you haven't yet, check out Joanna's blog Scrap-Making! Her cards are bright, fun, and adorable!!!

I have been admiring Scrappy Mom's stamps for so long! I enter a lot of their contests trying to win some of their stamps. Speaking of Scrappy Mom's... when I found out I won these stamps I almost had to laugh since before I checked Joanna's blog (Scrap-Making) I JUST completed a card that I was going to enter into the Terrific Tuesday Challenge @ Scrappy Mom's!!

I was inspired by... myself! LOL I did a layout the other day (HERE) for one of Brittyn's newborn pics and I just loved how it turned out. I think these little cupcakes are adorable.... So I thought I would also make a card! And probably a matching bag later on tonight!!

Here are some details...
- cupcakes were cut @ 2.3 from Once Upon A Princess, sprinkles on cupcakes were made with Liquid Pearls (I think I accidentally called them something else last time....)
- faces were stamped using Peachy Keen Wide Eyed Kids set
- Martha Stewart lacey border punch
- twine from The Twinery
- sentiment from Pink By Design
- button from stash
- doodles with black ZIG pen and white Gelly roll pen

I hope you think it's as cute as I do!! :) I can't wait until I get my new stamps!! Thanks so much Joanna!! So exciting!!

My Pink Stamper Challenges

Hi out there!! Quick post today! My husband gave me some 'me' time this morning before he leaves for the day so I got done my layout from yesterday and one more!! I am making them for all the challenges on My Pink Stamper for National Scrapbooking Day. She had such an awesome, fun day over there! I only wished I had more time so that I could enter all the challenges - there are some AWESOME prizes!!

Here's my first Layout... (sorry for the low quality pics... still waiting on my camera lens)

I'm trying to catch up on Brittyn's scrapbook! When I was doing Bria's scrapbook everyone told me I would be in trouble because I wouldn't have enough time to do such a detailed book with my second baby. I'm out to prove them wrong! :)

My favorite thing to stamp faces on is cupcakes!!! :)

Details (quickly!!)...
- 'Baby Cakes' title and 3 little cupcakes are cut from Once Upon A Princess - faces on cupcakes are from the Peachy Keen set Wide Eyed Kids, sprinkles on cupcakes are made with Pearl Dots, cupcake in title is embossed w/ Divine Swirls Cuttlebug folder, sprinkles are Pearl Dots and candle is accented with Glossy Accents (my new favorite thing to use!!!)
- snetiment ('A moment in my tummy, a lifetime in my heart') is from Pink By Design
- purple twine from The Twinery, button & ribbon from my stash
- doodles with white Gelly Roll pen

This layout is going to be entered into Challenge #1 - Anything Cupcake

These pics are from the same photo shoot as the one in the LO above. Brittyn was not even a week old in these pics. So cute, right?? I can't believe she was ever that little.... *tear, tear*

Details...
- Kangaroo/baby, lots of love title and birdie banner are cut from Birthday Bash
- 'Welcome Baby' and 'When I count my blessings I count you twice' from My Pink Stamper
- doodles with black ZIG pen and white Gelly Roll Pen

This layout is going to be entered into Challenge #7 - Make A Scrapbook Page.

I am in the middle of another project that I'm hoping to finish during the kids' naptime... I may even get one more in before the deadline!! This would be a record for me lately!!! And I'm sick with two sick babies to boot! It's a good thing they are so happy just laying around today!!

Twinkle Toes

Good morning bloggers!! So this morning hasn't started off overly great for me... I was walking up the stairs with my camera (and today's project) in my hands and I stumbled, fell and broke my camera lens!! :( Luckily I was on my way up the stairs AFTER I just took pics of my project! I have already placed an order for a new lens so hopefully it won't take too long to get here. I use it everyday so I hope it gets here fast!! Anyways, onto today's project!

My Aunt asked me to make her a bag and matching card to give to her friend's daughter. She wanted something to do with dance since this girl is a dancer. I automatically thought of using soft colors but this girl is a teenager so I thought some "older" colors might be a better choice. I love how it turned out!!

Details....
- little ballerina is cut from Once Upon A Princess but her hair is cut from Paper Doll Dressup. I love the Once Upon a Princess cart but I really don't like the princesses' hair or faces.... Luckily there is Peachy Keen stamps for the faces!! :) SO cute! I used Tattered Angels Glimmermist on her black bodysuit (as well as the black background. See pic below for glittery effect) which I LOVE!! I used Pearl here - it's the only color I have - and it looks awesome on black! This is one product I am so happy with! Instead of buying expensive glittery paper in select colors you can make your own using a regular cardstock that matches the papers you are already using!

- embelishment the dancer is on it cut from Gypsy Wanderings and the white layer is embossed with Divine Swirls Cuttlebug folder (as well as the pink layer underneath)
- 'Twinkle Toes' sentiment is from Pink By Design All Girl set (this is a GREAT set for everything girly!)

Challenges:
- Delicious Doodles HERE
- One Stop Craft Challenge HERE

I hope you like it!! I also hope the girl who is going to receive it likes it!!!

Pretty Princess Wall Hanging

Hello Everyone!! Happy Last Week Of March!! Spring is on its way here, although it's taking its sweet time!! It's been still snowing and blowing here which meant the roads are really bad, which ALSO means I missed out on the 50% off coupon at Michaels on Saturday. :( Oh well... It just meant more time at home for some projects! A friend of mine wanted me to make her a princess picture for her little girl's room. I've made one of these previously for my daughter's room but I thought I would change this one up a bit and add a spring feel to it. I love creating pictures! Pictures and gift bags are definitely my two favorite things to create at the moment! :)
Here's what I came up with:

Here are all the details....
- size of picture is 8"x10", frame is just a regular picture frame
- cut the blue base at 8"x10" and glued a white 8"x10" sheet on the backside just to make it less flimsy
- I cut 4 strips of grass from PaperDoll Dress-Up @ 4.55" - some of them are mirrored so that they all don't look the same. I inked around them with Tim Holtz Distress Ink and a cheap makeup sponge (from Dollarstore)
- the hill the castle is sitting on was cut by hand and inked the same way as the rest of the grass
- flowers on the grass are plastic Doodlebug embellishments with brads in the centers
- the princess was cut @ 4.5" from Once Upon A Princess cart, her face was from the Wide Eyed Kids Peachy Keen set. I colored her face with Gelly Roll pens (purple for eyelids, white for eyes, pink for tongue) and black ZIG pen (her mouth). Also a little pink chalk on her cheeks. Her hair was inked the same was as the grass. I embossed the pink layer on her dress with Divine Swirls Cuttlebug folder and added some bling from the Dollarstore. Her crown came from Once Upon A Princess as well and I used my gypsy to size it correctly to fit her head (bling from the Dollarstore). Finished up her dress with a little faux stitching with my white Gelly Roll pen.
- The bird was cut @ 1.5" from Simply Charmed, glitter on it's belly was Martha Stewart (I love Martha Stweart glitter!!)
- Castle was cut @ 2.85" from Once Upon A Princess, added some doodles with white Gelly Roll
- rainbow was cut @ 1.44" from Simply Charmed. I also added some Martha Stweart Glitter
- clouds were cut at various sizes from Simply Charmed, embossed with Divine Swirls Cuttlebug folder and inked with blue Martha Stewart ink.

Turning Two

Hello! I have been so busy these last few days leaving little time to craft... Hopefully tonight is the night! I thought I would post the layout that I put together for Bria's second birthday party. It didn't turn out as well as I had hoped considering the time I put into it... For some reason I just had trouble making everything come together in this LO.

I used the Once Upon a Princess Cricut cartridge for all the cuts. I used my Martha Stewart glitter pen to add the purple glitter dot accents all over and also some gems from the dollar store to add some sparkle. On the second page of the layout, under the picture of Bria holding her new little sis, Brittyn, I made a little "card" that opens up. Inside of the card I wrote her a little note and added some of the details of her birthday party (who was there, what her favorite gifts were, etc.).

That's all for today, I'm so pooped I think I may curl up on the couch with my little ones and a movie. :)
