Doodlebug Treat Bags

Hey everyone! Today I am sharing a couple cute little cards I made with the awesome Doodlebug treat bags. They are the perfect size to hold a gift card and I know a lot of families having babies right now so I dove head first into the Sugar & Spice and Snips & Snails Collections.

I love how quick and easy it is to pull cards together with some Doodlebug paper, embellishments and a couple of metal dies! These cards took no time at all.

I trimmed down the treat bags by cutting a bit off the top then dressed it up using a tag, paper bow (made using a die from My Creative Time) and some Doodlebug cardstock stickers.

I cut a piece of cardstock that would fit perfectly into the treat bag and used a gift card holder die (Jaded Blossom) to add the perfect spot to place a gift card.

To add dimension to my cards, I used foam stickers to adhere the stickers and treat bag.

The treat bags come in a variety of super fun colors and patterns that coordinate with tons of the Doodlebug collections

These treat bags are so fun and I can think of so many ways they can be used! My next project with them will be an advent calendar so stay tuned! Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you have been inspired!

Many Thanks! Paper Smooches Challenge

Hey Friends!! I hope you all had a great time celebrating Canada Day and the 4th of July! We have had great weather here and have been loving being outside swimming, running through the sprinkler and all the other great perks that come with summer!!

I have had a little spare time lately so I have been playing a lot with my Paper Smooches stamps! I love their little images so much. They are so cute and super easy to either color or paper piece.

I colored all my little hampsters using Spectrum Noir markers and fussy cut around them. I have been wanting to get myself some of the dies that coordinate with the stamps but have been waiting a Paper Smooches sale. I have a loooooong list of goodies in my shopping cart in their store so I'm chomping at the bit to place an order! :)

I used a sentiment from the Word Salad stamp set and added a couple Doodlebug enamel hearts and washi tape to accent. I also used one of the great border dies from My Creative time to create a scalloped edge on my patterned paper.

Here is what I used to create my card...
- Paper Smooches stamp sets: Word Salad & Party Posse
- My Creative Time: Fun Stitched Edges
- Doodlebug: Sprinkles & Washi Tape
- Echo Park digital paper
- Spectrum Noir markers

I am entering this card into the Anything Goes challenge over on the Paper Smooches blog!

Thanks for stopping by today!!

Dude You are Awesome

Hey friends!! It has been a long time since I have posted a project on my blog that was not a design team project!! At this point I am a member of the Doodlebug Design Team and have one more month left on the Pebbles Inc Design Team. In the past few months I have had to cut down on my crafty responsibilities so I could devote more attention to my personal life. While I am really starting to miss the girls on the DTs, I am enjoying a bit of crafty freedom and able to create what and when it's fitting, with whatever supplies I choose.

For the past few months I haven't been in much of a crafting "mood" but these past few days I am loving being back in my craftroom. I have a few Paper Smooches stamp sets that I love but really haven't had the chance to play with so yesterday I sat down with them and got creative!

I am loving the little dinos in the Cuteasaurus stamp set!! They are so fun to color.

I used sentiments from a couple different sets to create one fun sentiment that would work great for a boy.

I used foam stickers to make the dino and the rocks stand out on the card.

I am entering this card over at this weeks SPARKS challenge over at Paper Smooches. I have a looooong wishlist over there and would love to snag a gift certificate!! Especially since the sneaks of the new releases look amazing!

Here is what I used to make my card...
- Paper Smooches Cuteasaurus stamp set
- Paper Smooches Word Salad stamp set
- Jaded Blossom Ticket Dies
- My Creative Time Border Dies

Pebbles Inc - Father`s Day Treat

The colors in the Americana collection remind me of old vintage Coca-Cola and I thought this inspiration would be a great place to start for a little Father’s Day card and treat. I found a really neat glass cup shaped like a pop can in the dollarstore and made a shape card that mimicked the same style of can.

Since the initial can card I made was fairly plain, I decided to add some interest and detail using some  of the fun elements that match the American Collection, like the printed cardstock shapes. I used some stamps from Jaded Blossom as part of my sentiment then added ‘Pops’ to the bottom with the super sparkly crimson thickers.

Using dies from My Creative Time, I cut out two stars from the 6x6 paper pad and used a clothespin to hold the stars together with a bow.

I thought it would be really fun to fill my matching cola can cup with coke bottle candies.

I used some cone shaped treat bags, also from Jaded Blossom, filled them with candies and tied the bag at the top using some hemp twine and two more stars cut from patterned paper.

I hope my project using Americana has sparked some inspiration for a gift for one of the dads in your life! Happy crafting!

Paper Smooches Mini Card Set

Hey friends!! I hope you all had a great weekend!! WE did! My husband had his first days off since Jan 2nd so even though this kids were still feeling a bit under the weather, we tried to make the best of it and do some fun activities!!

Bria went skiing for the first time on Friday with her Kindergarten class so we decided to go again and let Brittyn try it out.

I'm not a big fan of winter - especially when I am stuck in the house a lot with little ones - so it's really exciting that the kids are starting to take up some winter sports like hockey and skiing to get ourselves out of the house!!

Onto why you are probably really here.... My project for today!! :)

I recently purchased a few sets of Paper Smooches stamps because they looked super fun to color. I have been loving them!!

I wanted to make a little set of fun cards so I used some little mini stitched cards by Doodlebug Design.

I love this cute little hampster!!! I used some star dies from My Creative Time, Pebbles washi tape and sequins.

Does he look like he's in a hurry to 'shell-ebrate'?!

I don't know what possessed me to color my cat purple, but doesn't she look GLAM?? I knew my little girls would love this..

HUGE thanks!!

Hey everyone!!
Today's post is a little different! :) Recently I have been busting my butt to keep up with DT projects, which I  LOVE, but sometimes it's great to just create ANYTHING using ANY products. Recently I have become so addicted to using Spectrum Noir markers and coloring stamped images. I bought myself some cute sets of stamps from Paper Smooches that I thought would be fun to play with.

Isn't that little dino so fun?? I decided to make a thank you card because I feel like there is always a reason to thank someone!

Aren't these little yellow sprinkles beautiful?? I love them so much and I have finally decided not to hoard them and actually use them!!

Here is what I used to make my card...
- Chit Chat, Party Posse, & Cuteasaurus Paper Smooches Stamp sets
- Doodlebug Sprinkles & Day to Day 6x6 Paper pad
- My Creative Time border Dies

One more thing I haven't had a lot of time for lately is participating in challenges so I am entering this card into a challenge over at Paper Smooches

Lovely Banner

I love that banners are popular as props in portrait photography right now! Mostly because I love making banners and I love photography!! Since I frequently have photo shoots with my daughters, I thought the Yours Truly collection from Pebbles would work perfectly to create a fun banner to use as a prop.

I used a simple die from Jaded Blossom to create each pennant in my banner and decorated each piece using stickers, tags, chipboard pieces as well as other fun elements in this collection.

Although this banner may look like it was rather involved to make, it was actually very quick! Since there is such a great variation of embellishments in this collection I found it very easy to make each pennant unique and pretty.

I also had to share some of the pictures from the photo shoot with my daughter, so you can all see the banner in action!

The banner will also make a great piece of Valentine’s Day décor!
