Such a Big Girl!!

Hey Guys!! I have another layout to share with you today! And I have also been working on more layouts, so I hope that's ok! :)

These pics are from when Brittyn sat up for the first time. Oh they grow up tooo fast! :( I used my sewing machine to stitch around the pics in pink thread. It looks like a child did it, but I am getting better (slowly...).

I used Baby Steps to cut out the baby and the title. The baby's face is from the Just Babies stamp set by Peachy Keen. Isn't she sooo cute?!

I also used the So Big stamp set by Pink By Design (love this set!!!). The flag shape was cut from the Sophisticated cartridge.

Bria woke up with a fever last night, and we're supposed to be having quite a few families over to our house for New Years Eve. Fingers crossed she starts feeling better, and not worse!! Hope you are all healthy for your New Years celebrations!!!!

Cold Hands, Warm Hearts

Hi guys!!! So I am writing up this post as my "baby" is napping. If you haven't heard me mention this already, we live in Alberta, Canada. This time of year, it is usually anywhere from 14 degrees F down to -30 degrees F and there could be a couple feet of snow. THIS year, we have hardly ANY snow, and the temps have been around 41 degrees F somedays!! This has been amazing for us, since the winters can get soooo long, especially with little ones who get cooped up in the house. We have been having soooooo much fun these holidays! The other day we were out skating on a pond, and today - as soon as Brittyn wakes up - we're going outside to tobaggan since it's actually snowing today!

Here are some pics of our skating day the other day! I used to play college hockey and I put away my equipment once I started having kids. This was my first time in skates in a couple years - yikes! :) My husband is also a hockey player, so we're hoping that our girls like hockey - either that, or we have a baby boy! ;) (NO, I am not pregnant! :))

After doing all these outside activities, I was in the mood for a winter layout!!

These pics are from last winter...

I used EAD Designs' stickerz for this layout, along with Recollections paper.

The tags are cut from Birthday Bash, and the twine is from The Twinery.

I love these stickers, they are re-stickable!! I didn't like where they were at first, so I just gently peeled them off and put them in a better spot!!

Hope you liked my layout and that you are having great weather, wherever you are!!! :)

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....

Merry Christmas Eve everyone!!!! Just quick post today.... Hope you are all gearing up for lots of food, family and great memories!! :)

The layout I am going to share with you today I made with pics from last year's pictures of Bria on Christmas morning. She was just starting to get into the idea of Christmas last year so this year should be really fun!!

She was so excited to see what Santa brought!!

This was one of my first attempts at a tag...  Not sure how I feel... I think I just need more practice!

I used Sepia glossy accents to cover the words on my Recollections paper.

My new FAV stamp set!! It's a Date by Pink By Design - I can't believe I just got this set!!! Definitely a must have!!

I hope you all have an AMAZING Christmas Day!!! Can't wait to post my pics from the next couple days!!

Life Moments

Hey Everyone!!! I haven't posted for a few days!! Just taking a little time to get ready for Christmas, as I'm sure many of you have been. I wanted to announce the winner from the 80s Blog Hop that Random.org picked. The winner of the assortment of twine from The Twinery is....

Chriss America Real america57@comcast.net

I will be contacting you shortly for your mailing address!!! Congrats, and thanks so much for stopping by!! :)

Onto the layout I JUST finished up!! I created it for the color challenge over at EAD Designs... These pics were from the day Brittyn was born and Bria came to meet her for the first time. One day I will never forget! I have always dreamed of having two little girls who would grow up and be best friends! :)

I have been playing with other styles of scrapbooking lately, trying to learn new things. I ALWAYS come back to the "cutesy" projects!!! I think that is where my style is supposed to stay... :)

How cute are these froggies?!? The came from Create A Critter, and I used my new Winter Wonderland Peachy Keen stamp set for their faces. I also added a little bling, to make them girly! All the paper I used on this project - with the exception of the kraft - is Momenta.

The title for this page, "Life Moments" is cut from Sophisticated. Love this cart, but the cricut doesn't make the cuts very well unless they are LARGE sizes.... Cameo -1, Cricut - 0... :) The little dragonfly is also from Create A Critter.

This sentiment is from the Pink By Design set Friends to the End and I thought it fit the friendship formed by sisters perfectly!

I hope you enjoyed my layout today!!!!! Cross your fingers for me, the winner of the EAD Challenge gets a guest designer spot on their blog!!

It's 3 little cans of play-doh stacked up and wrapped in red tissue paper and clear cellophane paper. I tied them using green twine from the twinery and added a little tag. The stocking is from Simply Charmed and I used my new Peachy Keen stamp set, Cornies, for the cute little face. The back is stamped with 'to' and 'from' from the Christmas Greetings Pink By Design stamp set.

80s Blog Hop!!!

First off HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Emily!!! I hope you have a day as amazing as you are!!!!!! Thanks for letting me be a part of the celebration! :) Second, welcome to Emily's Back to the 80 Birthday Blog Hop!! If you are coming here from Tanya's blog then you're in the right place!! If you have just come across this hop, make sure you head back to Emily's blog! You don't want to miss any blogs on this hop, trust me!! :)

So, if you are like my husband, you may be thinking,"Hello Kitty is 80s?!?!!?!?!?". And my answer is, yes, to me Hello Kitty is 80s! :) I was born in 1983 so I don't think I remember a lot of the 80s in the same way some might... When I was a little girl I had a Hello Kitty stuffed doll that I loved and found myself thinking about years later. I even remember watching a Hello Kitty cartoon on TV! Since I know some of you - including my hubby - think I am nuts that HK was 80s.... I googled, and found this!!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yDg0uCfBWn0

So awesome, because I very vaguely remembered that I had it in the bathtub, and when I watched this it all came back to me!!!
I have been in love with Hello Kitty ever since, and when I started to see her all over the place again, I was soooooo excited!! Now I buy my girls everything Hello Kitty.

The very first thing that popped into my mind when I started brainstorming an 80s idea was the "Girls just wanna have fun" song... And of course this is soooo fitting for my daughter, Bria!! I don't know any little girls who are more fun than Bria!! She has a zest for life that I hope never fades!!!

I went with neon colors - of course! I'm not gonna lie... when I started to notice that neon was coming back in style I was very disappointed. Needless to say, I think it has started to wear on me! My girls even have some neon clothes!!

I found a pack of awesome neon Martha Stewart glitter at Michaels a couple weeks ago and I knew it would be PERFECT for this hop! I created a sparkle "splash" look on the background paper. I spritzed Goosebumps glue on the purple paper and then covered it in one color of glitter. Once it dried, I did the same with another color. I am in love with the result! It almost looks like paint splashed on the paper, except it sparkles!!

Of course no hop would be complete without some candy!!! I am giving away some Twine from The Twinery!!!

Please make sure you are a follower and leave a comment with a way to get in contact with you!! :)

Hope you liked my project!! Now onto my friend Elizabeth's blog for some more 80s inspiration!!!

Erica's Craft Room 25 Days of Christmas - Trees

Welcome to Erica's Craft Room 25 Days of Christmas,
with 25 Cricut projects a day.
Don't forget to stop by Erica's blog to see 24 more projects today....
and every day in December.

I choose to make a card today!! Here is my card....

Here is the supplies I used to make this card...

- Stretch your Imagination cricut cart (tree)
- ribbon from Michaels
- dotted embossing folder
- Recollections paper
- Recollections pearls
- 'rockin' around the christmas tree' sentiment from Christmas Wishes by Pink By Design
- distressed music background stamp by Pink By Design

Here is how I came up with my card!!!! I cut the tree from Stretch Your Imagination, added some doodles with a white gelly roll pen, added a bow to the trunk. Then I took a piece of white cardstock and stamped it with my Distressed Music background stamp and inked around the edges using black ink. I then cut a strip of dark green paper and used a EK Success border punch along one side of it before I embossed the piece. I used the same border punch to make a white piece to stamp my sentiment onto (I inked around that with black ink as well). Then I adhered everything together!!

Make sure to head back to Erica's blog tomorrow for even MORE Christmas inspiration!!!!

I hope you liked my simple card!!!

Moments with you...

Here is my post over at Pink By Design today!!!

*******************************************************************************

Hi everyone!! Candace from Scrappin' 2 Little Princesses here. Today I have a card to show you!!

This sentiment came from the  stamp set The Life You Imagined.
Flowers and rosettes are allll the rage right now!! I don't have a cartridge that cuts the flowers or rosettes yet, but I do have a little addiction to making little felt flowers. Here is how I made this flower...

1. Cut a circle out of felt, using any circle shape you can find as a template. (I used the lid of a salt shaker I use for storage in my craft room)
2. Starting at the outside edge of the circle, begin cutting the felt into a spiral

3. Cut the whole circle into the spiral shape - don't worry about being exact when cutting, when the "thickness" of the spiral changes it just adds more character to the complete flower

4. Starting with the center of the spiral, add some glue (I used ZipDry) to felt along the bottom edge of the felt and then begin to roll the felt around to make the shape of a flower

5. Once the felt has been all glued, you can add a rhinestone, pearl, etc. to the center to dress it up TIP: Don't do what I did.... I used a black pen to trace my circle and forgot to flip it over before gluing... now my black pen is visible... quick fix is to ink the flower up a bit!

Hope you enjoyed my little tutorial!! Make sure you come back for more inspiration tomorrow!!

Erica's Craft Room 25 Days of Christmas - Penguins

Welcome to Erica's Craft Room 25 Days of Christmas,
with 25 Cricut projects a day.
Don't forget to stop by Erica's blog to see 24 more projects today....
and every day in December.

I choose to make a card today!! Here is my card....

Here is the supplies I used to make this card...

- Simply Charmed Cricut cart (penguin)
- My Pink Stamper 'Ice, Ice Baby'
- divine swirls embossing folder
- Recollections paper
- red flock (on hat)
- Happy Lashes set by Peachy Keen stamps
- white gelly roll pen for faux stitches

This is another one of my super easy cards.... I cut the penguin from Simply Charmed as well as the hat. I added some red flock to the hat, using my zig 2-way glue pen. The snow was cut free-hand and embossed using my cuttlebug. I added some stitching and little doodles with my white pen and that's about it!

I hope you liked my simple card!!!

Angel Baby

Hi everyone!!! I don't know about you guys, but I think I need a little break from Christmas projects!! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Christmas - but I just think it's time to see something a little different! Shake things up a bit! :)

The other day I thought I would play with some EAD Designs Stickerz....

Isn't this cute?? I love these pics of Brittyn... especially the one with her hand in her mouth. She really is a little angel baby.

I colored these stickers using watermark pencils and then blended using a Stampin' Up blending marker. The sentiment above is from the Baby Love set by Pink By Design. Definitely a set that has been well used!!

Isn't this little angel adorable??? I added some white Martha Stewart glitter on her wings and pink chalk on her cheeks. The word 'angel' is cut using the Baby Steps font.

I used my sewing machine!! I think this is the third time I have ever used it!! Obviously, I need practice! :) I stamped clouds and embossed them with thick clear embossing powder for a subtle look. I also added some pearls for a little more detail.

I hope you like my layout!!! I loved making it! :) Come back tomorrow for another Christmas post!! Have a great day!!
