Senate Democrats become complicit in Biden's open borders policy

Federalist Wire: Senate Republicans and legal experts contend that a potential Democratic tactic to sidestep an impeachment trial of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is unprecedented and would violate the Constitution. In February, the House of Representatives impeached Mayorkas on two counts, accusing him of “wilful and systemic refusal to comply with the law” and a “breach of the public trust,” primarily due to criticisms over the surge of foreign nationals entering the United States through the southern border, exceeding 7 million during his tenure. Reports suggest Senate Democrats, holding a narrow majority, aim to dismiss the impeachment articles against Mayorkas, a move Republicans oppose on constitutional grounds. Republican Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, emphasizing the unprecedented nature of the move, stated, “I think it has never been done before in the history of our nation and we’re going to vigorously oppose it.” Andrew McCarthy, a legal expe...

Mayorkas blamed for failure to depot murder suspect

Headline USA: ICE Blames Mayorkas Order for Hindering Deportation of Murder Suspect 'If that had been the case, then this would have never happened...' I think Mayorkas is just following Biden's policies.  This administration seems to think that Trump's policies were the problem and not the evil of liberalism.  See also: Colombian Illegal Alien Wanted for Homicide Captured in Massachusetts

GOP Senators raise issue of Mayorkas impeachment

Fox News: Republican senators are gearing up to prevent all legislative business in the Senate from going forward if they don't get a full trial into the articles of impeachment against Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. Six sources told Fox News Digital that roughly a dozen GOP senators have been planning for more than a week to obstruct legislative proceedings and regular business in the Senate if, at a minimum, points of order are not agreed to in the impeachment trial of Mayorkas when the House impeachment managers deliver the articles to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y. "The Senate runs on unanimous consent," a Senate Republican aide familiar with the talks told Fox News Digital. "Any one senator can do that." ... The actions of the Democrat Senators suggest they approve of Mayorkas's open borders policy and the attempt to rig future votes.  The Dems support the open borders policy as a means to change the demographics in a w...

Biden's cynical operation of Homeland Security Department

The Hill: Imagine having a Department of Education that closed all the schools or a Department of Defense that unilaterally disarmed the military. What if the Department of Energy decided to halt power generation or the Justice Department ceased all prosecutions? Americans would rightly conclude that those Cabinet departments were useless and, worse, placed the nation in grave danger. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), formed after the 9/11 terror attacks, has stopped providing security for the homeland. It has intentionally made American citizens less safe, receiving billions of taxpayer dollars to not do what it is supposed to do. Today’s DHS — under its easily manipulated leader, Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas — is obsequiously carrying out the political aims of the Biden administration and the Democratic Party. Those aims seem to reflect a cynical operating philosophy: that the illicit admission without due process of nearly 10 million people into the country over the pa...

Mayorkas impeached

The Hill: House Republicans on Tuesday narrowly secured a historic vote to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, rallying GOP members after a first failed effort. Mayorkas is the first Cabinet official to be impeached since the 1870s, a vote made all the more remarkable by Republicans’ inability to pass the same articles of impeachment last week, when three GOP members joined Democrats to tank the resolution, citing concerns their colleagues were abusing their impeachment power. The articles are not expected to move in the Democrat-led Senate. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) described the vote as advancing “without a shred of evidence or legitimate Constitutional grounds.” Tuesday’s 214-213 vote is a recovery from an embarrassing speed bump for Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), whose fractious conference — particularly Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) — had made impeaching Mayorkas a priority as they seek to make the border a central issue ahead of Nove...

House moves on Mayorkas impeachment

Fox News: House Homeland Security Committee sets first Mayorkas impeachment hearing The first Mayorkas impeachment hearing is set for January 10 A House committee has set the date for its first impeachment hearing into Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, escalating its push against the Cabinet official. The Homeland Security Committee, led by Chairman Mark Green , R-Tenn., will hold its first impeachment hearing into Mayorkas on Jan. 10, the committee told Fox News Digital. Green told Fox News Digital that for "almost three years, the American people have demanded an end to the unprecedented crisis at the Southwest border, and they have also rightly called for Congress to hold accountable those responsible." ... They should be impeaching Biden too.  Mayorkas appears to be following Biden's illegal and irresponsible dictates.

The Biden-Mayorkas border fiasco

Daily Caller: The House Homeland Security Committee released the findings of the second part of their probe Thursday into Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, finding he “enriched the cartels,” according to a copy of the report obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation. Under Mayorkas’ leadership as DHS secretary, cartels have gained more control over the southern border and smuggled more individuals and contraband across it, according to the report . The first phase of House Homeland Security Chairman Mark Green’s probe focused on Mayorkas’ alleged “dereliction” of his duty as secretary of DHS. Cartel smuggling of illegal migrants has become a billion-dollar industry as illegal immigration has surged, The New York Times reported in 2022. Border Patrol recorded a record of more than 2.2 million illegal migrant encounters along the southern border in fiscal year 2022, according to federal data.
