Large pedophile ring busted after FBI agents killed

CNN: A total of 98 people have been arrested in connection with child sex abuse, and 13 children rescued from harm, US and Australian authorities said Tuesday, more than two years after two FBI agents were killed investigating an alleged international pedophile ring. In a news conference Tuesday, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Australian Federal Police (AFP) said 79 arrests, 65 indictments, and 43 convictions in the US were carried out as a result of the joint operation, while 19 men were arrested in Australia. Two FBI agents investigating the alleged ring were shot dead in 2021 while executing a search warrant for a computer programmer suspected of possession of child abuse material, CNN previously reported. The alleged child abuse ring was a “peer to peer network” with “some offenders committing offenses for over 10 years,” said Australian Federal Police Commander Helen Schneider. “Some of the children were known to the men who were arrested,” Schneider added, bu...

Defying radical environmental doomsday predictions

National Review: The headlines were dire: “Half of the Great Barrier Reef’s corals have been killed by climate change,” CBS News reported in October 2020. Bleaching of the reef’s corals is “getting more widespread,” the New York Times reported earlier that year. A Vice headline in 2017 promoting David Attenborough’s Blue Planet II documentary said, “the Great Barrier Reef will die this century,” while National Geographic predicted an earlier demise for reefs around the globe: “Coral reefs could be gone in 30 years.” It became almost common knowledge that the Great Barrier Reef was assuredly doomed, the victim of a warming climate, rising ocean temperatures, and increasingly acidic water. Then, in early August, the authoritative Australian Institute of Marine Science released a new report on the 1,400-mile natural wonder. Two-thirds of the reef — its northern and central regions — are showing record levels of coral cover. The southern region is also showing high levels of cora...

Aussies going all in on Big Green?

Viv Forbes: No country on Earth relies entirely on wind and solar energy, but Australian politicians aim to achieve this miracle. They are leaders in the  Stampede of the Green Lemmings . Solar energy has a huge problem.  Even on sunny days, almost nothing is generated to meet the demand peaks around breakfast time and dinner time — the solar energy union only works a six-hour day, goes on strike with little warning, and takes quite a few sickies. So, for at least 18 hours of every day, electricity must come from somewhere else.  Then, around noon, the millions of solar panels pour out far more electricity than is needed, causing electrical and financial chaos in the electrical grid. Naturally, our green "engineers" see wind power as filling the solar energy gaps.  But wind power has a union, too, and they take lots of sickies when there is no wind over large areas of the continent.  And they down tool in storms, gales, or cyclones in c...

Chicoms accused of lighting up Aussie aircraft with a laser.

Washington Examiner: Australian   P rime Minister Scott Morrison is calling on the  Chinese  government to explain why a laser was used to "illuminate" an Australian  aircraft . Morrison called for an  investigation  into what he claimed was a "dangerous" and "reckless" incident in which a warship from the People's Liberation Army Navy shined a light on an Australian aircraft flying overhead, according to  CNN . ... "They're the ones who need to explain, not just to Australia, but to think of all the countries in our region," Morrison said. "It could occur to anyone else who is just simply doing the normal  surveillance  of their own Exclusive Economic Zone." Chinese state-run newspaper the  Global Times  slammed the Australian government, with Song Zhongping, a Chinese military expert and commentator, saying that Australia "failed to tell the public how close its aircraft flew near the Chinese vessels, so people could not...

The general uprising against the mandate regimes goes world wide

Legal Insurrection: Canada-Style Freedom Convoy Protest Goes Global, Reaches Australia and New Zealand   In Europe, Freedom Convoys head to Paris and Brussels. There is a limit to which people are willing to give up the freedom of choice and we are seeing in the US too.  Where we are not seeing it is Texas and Florida where Governors have done away with mandates.

Germany and Australia go totalitarian over Covid

Lifesite News: Germans, Australians dragged to government ‘quarantine centers’ for COVID-19   Quarantine centers in Germany have included prisons, and Australian authorities have resorted to isolated camps under 24-hour surveillance. They have taken the opposite approach to Sweden which has had better results in dealing with the virus.

China needs Aussie coal that it banned

News.com: Chinese plan to cause Australia ‘economic pain’ from trade bans backfires   China has swallowed its words in what is embarrassing for the communist nation but a clear win for Australia. The Chicoms were angry because the Aussies wanted to investigate the Origins of the Covid 19 virus.

Outsiders: The Face Of Australia, Covid Response

The despotic dissent of Australia in dealing with Covid is hard to watch.  It has changed in ways that are unimaginable.

Australia shuts down internet to keep images of suppression from escaping

Investment Watch Blog: Australia is a full-throttle pedal-to-the-metal dictatorship. The government shut down internet service at ISP level in order to prevent Australians from showing the world what’s going on. Central Melbourne was declared a media no-fly zone.    News.com.au : A Melbourne man who was flung headfirst to the ground by a police officer who approached him from behind amid a high-intensity anti-protest operation was “calling for his mum” when he woke up from being unconscious, according to a “distressed” witness. ... There is much more including Twitter videos of the violence.  There are apparently a lot of Aussies resistant to the government suppression of demonstrations against their lockdown policies.  Shutting down the internet will likely backfire on the government too.

Covid has turned Aussie leaders into despots

Red States: What’s  going on in Australia  may be the most disturbing story of the year. A once, somewhat flourishing democracy has been reduced to a  tyrannical medical state  in which people are violently abused by government authorities for daring to walk outside. All in the name of fighting COVID-19, of course. Unfortunately for those that live Down Under, there is no end in sight, and the scenes are only growing darker. ... There is much more including a video of a policeman attacking a woman for not wearing a mask outdoors.  The Aussi police state has resulted in a 16,150 % increase in cases.  It is enough to give the impression that requiring outdoor mask-wearing increases the spread of the virus.  Contrast this with college sporting events in the US where hundreds of thousands of fans gather for games outdoors and there has been no evidence of spreading of the virus at these events. Australia making the case that control freak lockdowns do not deter the virus

Legal Insurrection: Australia is proof we need the Second Amendment. Australia is proof a virus is going to virus. Australia has become the ultimate nanny state when it comes to COVID-19. The governments have forced people to stay locked in their homes. They need permission to step outside. They need permission to take a breath. And yet…the cases will not stop. It’s almost as if a virus does not care if you step outside your house. Victoria The state of Victoria extended lockdown and restrictions for another three weeks because of more cases. Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews said the government will ease restrictions once 70% of the eligible residents have the first dose of the vaccine. Cases have risen despite  these restrictions : You cannot leave your home other than for one of the five following reasons: shopping for necessary goods and services caregiving or compassionate reasons, including medical care or to get a COVID-19 test authorised work (with a permit) or permitt...

Covid Crazy Down Under

Red States: Australia's Next Authoritarian Move Is So Insane That It Would Make Orwell Blush Control freak government is running amok in Australia in ways that would make Democrat governors in the US blush.  That is not a compliment to the Democrats who have ruined their own states with their response to the pandemic.

Aussie Covid panic is taking a toll on people and animals

Washington Examiner: A council in New South Wales in  Australia  has shot and killed multiple impounded  dogs  over COVID-19 concerns, prompting a government investigation. The Bourke Shire Council killed the dogs to prevent volunteers from traveling to pick up the animals, in line with their interpretation of COVID-19 restrictions, according to the  Sydney Morning Herald  . The Office of Local Government is investigating the dogs’ executions and said it's evaluating to see whether any animal cruelty laws were broken. ... The Aussies have also been dealing harshly with riots by those opposed to the severe lockdown policies of the government in trying to contain the virus.  Several of the protesters have been arrested.  Frankly, much of this looks more like the government panicked in dealing with the virus.  The dogs were not available for comment.  Hopefully, the protesters will eventually be released when the government recovers f...

Google's international censorship

Epoch Times: Sky News Australia Suspended by YouTube I am not a big consumer of news from Australia, but I trust their media more than I trust Google when it comes to what is legitimate news.  Google is infested with woke leftists who try to suppress news that liberals do not want others to see.

Aussies experience lockdown rebellion

Daily Mail: Chaos on the streets of Sydney as anti-lockdown protestors flood Covid hotspot chanting 'FREEDOM' while truckies and tradies block major bridge demanding extraordinary two-week ban on all construction be lifted Many see lockdowns as worse than the disease.  In the US they are seen as one of the biggest mistakes in response to the virus.  States that avoided lockdowns have done significantly better than the lockdown states in controlling the disease and in keeping the economy alive.

Non-white privilege

Steve Sailor: ... Today, we see an increasing number of white-looking individuals, especially leftist female professors of grievance studies , striving for the privileges of being officially nonwhite. This has become hilariously common in Australia , where the newspapers are full of the pathbreaking feats of the “first Indigenous” this or that, almost always with a photo of an extremely white-looking person. The number of Australians who identify as Aboriginal has been soaring, especially in the metropolitan areas of the east coast, far from Indigenous settlements in the Outback. Full-blooded Aborigines, in contrast, are not doing well in modern Australia. In desperation, back in 2007 Canberra tried to cut down on the horrific rate of child sex abuse among Indigenous communities in Northern Australia by banning alcohol and pornography. Outside of athletes, such as 1970s tennis champion Evonne Goolagong , nonwhite Aboriginals are seldom well-represented in the more competitive se...
