What happened in February?

The older girls before the Daddy Daughter Dance in February 2012. Layla and I stayed home and went to bed. Awww! Heavenly!

I can't even believe that we are going into March of 2012 already! It seems impossible. It was Christmas time and then I blinked and here we are! WOW!
Now that I have taken a minute to get over that, I can go on. This year is proving to be a VERY busy year, and is already full of big changes and surprises for our family!
This month I will be turning 32 years old. For a birthday gift my husband is taking a week off work to play stay at home mom to the girls while I fly to Arizona for a week for an adult girls trip. My aunt Laurel lives there and my sisters and my mother will be meeting there to have some rest and relaxation in the sun. SO EXCITED!
Alyssa is doing well in 1st grade and is adjusting to homework every night and tests every Friday. She is reading better and better every week. She loves going to school and she love going to music class.
Bella is loving preschool twice a week, but is really ready to go to pre-K every day in August. We are getting her 2nd set of tubes put in her ears this week since she is still struggling to hear clearing. We are hoping this will help her be able to hear and communicate better in school this coming year.
The older girls are still REALLY enjoying gymnastics. This season I can tell a big change in their abilities. They are growing more confidant and strong and it is fun to watch that. Alyssa really wants to try doing competitions, but Rob and I both agree that we need to hold off on that another season.
Layla is 19 month old and is into anything and everything! She has been climbing up on everything and in fact recently climbed on a chair and fell off and hit her head on the tile cutting it open. This resulted in a traumatic ER visit and stiches put in her head. This is why she has the nickname "stich" right now. She is healing nicely, and has already forgetten all about it. I haven't though.
She is enjoying going to nursery on Sundays with her little toddler friends. She is so easy going and loves being around other people. She really has been such a delightful addition to the family.
