Today began like every other day in my little world. Bella jabbering from her crib and wakes me up. She has been waking up for the past week all poopy because she is teething really bad. There is just nothing like waking up to the smell up poop and a cleaning up the big poop mess! (UGH! I hate teething) Moving on. I take her into the bathroom to run her a bath and clean her up for the day. I lotion her, dress her, and get her eating her breakfast. By this time, I either wake up Alyssa or she is already up watching her morning cartoons. She is like me, and needs a little more time to wake up before eating anything or doing anything for that matter.
Once we were all dressed, fed, and house was cleaned up for the daily showings. (UGH! I am so sick up showing my house to potential buyers and their realtors) I then get a call from a realtor wanting to show the house in an hour. PHEW! Good thing we were pretty much ready to leave the house. After finishing a little laundry, I pack up the girls and we head over to Mcdonalds down the street to meet Alyssa's friend Addy. We all had lunch and then us mother's visited a little while the kids played in the play area. All was just fine...that is until it was time to leave. This is where the day really took a turn for the worst! See if you can invision this?
I try to talk Alyssa into coming down off the play equipment nicely- that doesn't work. I start to raise my voice at her to come down- that doesn't work. I have to march up the play equipment and grab her and bring her down myself- I'm pretty sure I exceeded the weight limit. I then try to tell her that mommy needs to go to work and she and Bella need their naps, so it was time to leave-this lead to Alyssa starting to cry and throw a mild fit. Then I attempt to put her shoes on and get all of our things together- this leads to Alyssa's fit growing stronger. By this time, she and I are in a full out WWF westling match! She is kicking and screaming and wiggling all around to get away from me. After being a little firm with her doesn't work to calm her down, it was time to bring out the big bad momma. I spank her and sit her down on the bench and grab her face and tell her knock it off! All the other mothers, not to mention my friend and her little daughter, I'm sure were really impressed with my mothering skills. At this point I am starting to sweat a little from having to man handle her to get her shoes on. I decide to forget about the shoes, grab her arm,(hard) pick up my bag and Bella with the other arm, and drag Alyssa out through the entire Mcdonalds resuraunt screaming and crying. All the while I am apoligizing to the customers and workers behind the counter for the scene. I get the girls into the car and I say a quick goodbye to our friends and I get on our way. The entire ride to my co-workers house where we were working this afternoon, I proceed to give my daughter a tongue lashing though the driver's mirror. She starts to calm down now and says she is sorry. I don't buy it! Poor Bella just sits there looking at me and her sissy with a very confused expression on her face. We get to work, I march her straight to the bedroom where she naps while I work. Lay her down with her blanket and tell I don't want to hear a peep out of her until she is done with naptime. She went right to sleep which told me that she was either way tired from our wrestling match,(I was at least) or I had put the fear of God into her. Either way, her and Bella were resting and it was finally quiet for a few hours so I could do my work.
The day has gotten a little better since nap time-thank goodness! I think the Lord knew I had hit my limit and he decided to throw me a little mercy. We got an offer on our house! We are in the middle of negotiations and we will see where it goes. I pray it works out this time.
