A lot of you may already know that we are in the middle of trying to sell our home. It has been quite a headache and it has only been about 4 weeks now on the market. Having to keep the house "show ready" at all times with two small children is no small task in itself. My husband has been praising my cleanliness habits now eh? We have people calling and wanting to see the house here and there. Sometimes just when we are trying to sit down to dinner, have company, etc... It can get pretty interesting. But, headache or not, we are trying to sell it on our own first because we are cheap and don't want to pay realtor fees. We want all the profit to ourselves! Heeheehee!
The good news...We have a couple of people really interested in the house and have come back a second time to see it and have brought family members to see it too. Alyssa is quite the hostess when people come to see the house. Some people really don't care if our kids stay there while they see it, so that is nice. Alyssa just turns up the charm and asks to take their coat or purse, and helps show them the rooms and turns on the lights to the rooms as they go through them. It is pretty funny! I hope she doesn't expect any % of the sale price?
We have loved our little home and have a lot of memories here, but we are ready to move on to something new. We have a home that we are ready to build in Bixby, OK. It is much closer to Robert's new job and we have heard such good things about the community and the elementary schools. We will start building as soon as we have a contract signed for this house. It will take 4 months after we sign on our new house to be finished. We are praying that is how long it will really take because more than likely we will be renting an apartment until it is done.
This is all pretty exciting for us and we can't wait to start a new journey in a new home soon! Cross your fingers!
