Ready For Change

From the title of my post today, most of you are probably thinking I'm going to ramble on about Pres Elect Obama and his "ready for a change" slogan. Ummm...No Thanks! I apoligize in advance to my husband for getting his hopes up, thinking that his wife just might want to talk about political views. Sorry honey, but I'm a bit tired of all the political talk at this point in time.

Now let's move on to more fun and way more important things shall we?

The other day I went into my hair wizard for a routine hair trim and color. I am prematurely gray,(thank you mom) so I have to color my hair or I'd look like I was pushing 60 instead of 30. It is so sad. Moving on. I told Genelle that I was feeling like I needed a change and that maybe I'd try to enbrace my more natural color and go brunette with a little red highlight in it. She was on board for it and off she went to work her magic! One and a half hours later, this was the result.

I wanted a change and a change was what I got right? Being a stay at home mother, I started to feel and look just a little too old and tired for my liking. I started thinking that I am way too young to feel this damn old. Oh hey, that is a Garth Brooks song isn't it? It is very true though. Wise man, also from Oklahoma. Heehee.

My daughters seemed to like my change, but I'm not so sure my husband was quite sold on it. All he said when he first saw me was, "Well, it is interesting." That could be taken in all sorts of ways, so I just took it as a compliment. After a few days of seeing the new me, he admitted that he approves of it and even like it. Smart man.
