Welcome to the There She Goes Mother of All Blog Hops! If you have arrived here from Linda Bowman's blog, then you are in the right spot. If not, I recommend that you start back on the There She Goes company blog to get the introduction to our hop as well as the information you will need in order to enter to win some exciting prizes!
I am excited to show you one of the two very first stamp sets I illustrated called Cupcake Mix 'n Match. I drew this initially for my girls to color and never imagined at that time that Jessica, owner of TSG, would be the first to make my dream come true. So, thanks, Jessica!
This is a very sparkly card with soft colors. The cardstocks I used are GinaK's Bubblegum Pink and white, the patterned paper is by Little Yellow Bicycle. The ribbon is by BB Crafts. Here's the close up:
Now it's time to send you to Dawn Burnworth's blog for another There She Goes set she'll be featuring. Happy hopping!
Have you seen Gina's (of GinaK Designs) snippets on her blog? It's pretty exciting over there. Can you guess which one is my new stamp set to be released on the 30th of July? Stay tuned early next week when I give it away as blog candy. I'll be celebrating 4 months and 26,000 hits on my blog. Woohoo!
The first card is inspired by this. I followed the color scheme, but changed my focal image to this seahorse. Both the seahorse and sentiment are from the latest StampTV kit. I did the rock and roll technique using SU's Read Red and Memento Tuxedo Black on GinaK Pure Luxury Cream CS. The Old Olive "seaweed" is actually a branch stamp from There She Goes' Acts of Kindness set.
The second card is inspired by this poster. I used my well-loved butterfly stamp from Inkadinkadoo. It was stamped in Close To Cocoa on an Urban Prairie (by Basic Grey) paper. The swirls stamp is from the Sept KOTM from Unity. The sentiment is from Trendy Trees by SU. The lace is one I found laying around and I just love its vintage look. The cardstock and ribbon are Aquamist by PTI.
I've been so busy lately that I haven't had time to participate in the usual challenges. But, when I saw Card Patterns' sketch this week, I just couldn't resist. I love this sketch and just have to play :-). This is a quick card that uses all American Crafts papers, even the flower. The sentiment used is Happy Mail by TSG. The button is PTI and the ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbons.
There She Goes has a color challenge for their June release tomorrow. The colors are black, red and another color (monochromatic allowed). Of course, I have to play as this is my favorite color combo. :)
I used the Flowers of Happiness and Cupcake Mix 'n Match stamp sets by TSG and Polka Dot Punches by SU. For the first card, I used Basic Black Cameo Coral CS by SU and Berry Sorbet ribbon by PTI. I hand cut the bottom of the panel.
I used Rose Romance, Real Read, andBasic Black colors for the second card. The ribbon is recycled from a Lands End purchase.
I'm on a roll today. This is my card submission for the Paper Makeup challenge at Stampin' Out Alzheimer's forum. The challenge is to make winged things. I used scraps for this card from SU's Just Delightful SS Kit. The butterfly is by Basic Grey. The sentiment is from my stamp set, Cupcake Mix and Match, by There She Goes. The colors used are Cameo Coral and Brilliant Blue and Certainly Celery by SU.
I just found this new challenge blog called Fun-Frilled. I like that they are not specific to layouts or color combos. For this week, their challenge is to make a red, white and blue card, in honor of Memorial Day Weekend.
For my CAS card, I used a digital image I'm offering as a freebie tomorrow. It's printed on the computer. The sentiment is from Happy Mail by There She Goes.
On another note, Janet, one of Christian Papercrafts Magazine DT members, is offering some yummy blog candies. Go check it out here to get a chance at winning some cute stamps and other paper goodies.
I posted a few weeks ago about my favorite combo is black, white and one other color. The one other color usually falls in the red family. This is why I had so much fun playing along StampTV's color challenge this week to use red, black or any shades thereof. I was busy all weekend using this color combo to fill in orders. I love SU's Top note die, but wish it's bigger to use on one edge of the card. So I decided to sketch it digitally, then printed it on the computer in colors I like. I then hand cut them. The paper piercing trails were also hand sketched, then pierced.
I colored the butterfly with some old markers. The results were not what I expected, but love the grunge look.

This was a fun sketch to make. I made my first two cards using my very first PTI stamps. I love this set, esp with Mother's Day just around the corner. The third card uses the Flowers of Happiness set from There She Goes.
Here they are.

I just started following both the Salt Challenge and Triple the Sketch Challenge and I've been encouraged by the designers' desire to share their faith through their craft. I've been especially touched by how they focus Easter back to Christ, whose resurrection we celebrate today.
The latest Salt Challenge is to make something that shows the true meaning of Easter. Triple the Sketch's layout this week is this
After combining both challenges, this is what I came up with.
For the branch embellishment, I did paper piercing instead. And the two squares are two stanzas of the hymn. The lovely font is called "Missed Your Exit" from kevinaandamanda.com. Instead of circles, I used There She Goes' Flowers of Happiness set.
I printed the last two verses of one of my favorite modern hymns by Stuart Townend called "How Deep the Father's Love for Us." Every time I hear that song, I can't help but be overwhelmed with gratitude for God's abounding love for us. The depth of His love is only realized through understanding the sacrifice and worthiness of Christ. Here's the rest of the song.
How deep the Father's love for us, How vast beyond all measure That He should give His only Son To make a wretch His treasure
How great the pain of searing loss, The Father turns His face away As wounds which mar the chosen One, Bring many sons to glory
Behold the Man upon a cross, My sin upon His shoulders Ashamed I hear my mocking voice, Call out among the scoffers
It was my sin that held Him there Until it was accomplished His dying breath has brought me life I know that it is finished
I will not boast in anything No gifts, no power, no wisdom But I will boast in Jesus Christ His death and resurrection
Why should I gain from His reward? I cannot give an answer But this I know with all my heart His wounds have paid my ransom
My submission for this week's CP #9. A friend asked me for some sympathy cards. I didn't want to make a a card that's too dark (it seems the typical colors for sympathy ones) , so I made this bright card. For believers, death is a beginning, rather than an ending. I wanted to reflect on my card (1) respect for the memory, and (2) joy for their being finally free from sin.
The verse was printed on the computer. The oval is embossed using Nestabilities.
Supplies: Stamps: Flowers of Happines (TSG) Paper: So Saffron, SAB DSP
The OCC Challenge for this week is to make a spring card. Well, I love spring and I made more than one :-). Here are two of them, an Easter Dress card and a springy card (well, not quite Easter).
Supplies Stamps: Flowers of Happiness and Special Delivery by TSG Ink: black Paper: Pink Pirouette, So Saffron, DSP from stash (it's so old, I don't remember where I bought it) Ribbons: So Saffron and Certainly Celery
My very first submission to the Card Positioning System Sketch Challenge. I used my brand new stamp design, Cupcake Mix & Match, from There She Goes. I don't know why, but the picture turned out a little different from the actual card. The cardstock is supposed to be Pink Pirouette, not this blush color. Anyway, I hope you can tell that it's monochromatic. Thanks all for looking.
Supplies: Stamps: Cupcake Mix & Match (TSG) Ink: Regal Rose Paper: Pink Pirouette, White, Regal Rose DSP Acc: Nesties, buttons, pink pearl, paper piercer
This is my very first entry to Verve Stamps' challenges. This is for the Project Parade Egg-stra Special. I don't own any Verve Stamps (yet), but I've been an admirer for awhile now. I love their Bible verses and whimsical flowers. Because I live overseas, it's a little more difficult to get stamps.
Again, I used one of my new stamp designs called Tweeterpated from There She Goes on this card. It's perfect for Verve's challenge. I love that the egg-shell can be made as part of a stroller.
Stamps: Tweeterpated (TSG) Ink: Black Paper: SAB DSP, So Saffron, Certainly Celery Acc: Certainly Celery grossgrain ribbon, corner punch
This is my very first Card Patterns #8. I just got this adorable set from There She Goes called Flowers of Happines. Can you tell that coloring is one of my weakneses? I'll have to work on that. Card Patterns is giving away some really cute crocheted flowers from Paper Blooms.
Stamp: Flowers of Happines (TSG), Trendy Trees (SU) Ink: Black Paper: DCWV Spring card pack, Certainly Celery Acc: Nesties, Word Punch, Bling
Jen Tapler, a very talented paper crafter, is giving a HUGE blog candy to benefit the Alzheimer's Association. I wasn't going to participate because it would take a long time to get the cards mailed from Croatia to the US. But, this cause is so close to home. I had a Grandma who suffered from this condition and I know how devastating it is for both the patient and his/her family. So, here's my humble attempt to help in this worthy cause. Go to Jen's post to find more info.
I used my new stamp designs called Tweeterpated from There She Goes this card. I've had so much fun with this little chick. It's so easy to paper piece and so cute, too. I will be sending this with some other ones to Jen for her cause.
Stamps: Tweeterpated and Special Delivery (TSG) Ink: Black Paper: SAB DSP, Imagine That Cardstock Collection, Pink Pirouette, So Saffron Acc: Pink gingham ribbon, Curly label punch
Jessica from There She Goes is doing sneak peeks of my stamp designs at her blog. The cards she made are so beautiful. Make sure you hop out to the other Trendsetters' blogs to see what they came up with. They're all so talented.
I initially drew these images for my girls to color. Never did I imagine that they will be made into stamps someday.
I don't want to sound like an Oscar recipient :-), but I just want to take this time to thank:
God for the awesome opportunity and I hope more will come in the near future
Kris for supporting me through all this and being my #1 cheerleader.
my beautiful, sweet girls who kept asking me to draw some more and are in many ways, more excited than I am these stamps are released. After seeing the cards made with the stamps, they said, "I colored those first."
my mom (and dad, too) who share this hobby with me and supply with me lots of goodies and endless encouragement.
my mother-in-law (and father-in-law too) who doesn't share my hobby, but ALWAYS sends me supplies "just because" and for loving me as a daughter.
my crafting friends who generously contributed to my hobby over the years and for inspiring me with their own card creations.
for Jessica from There She Goes for buying my illustrations and making them into stamps.
Here are my submissions for There She Goes Going Away Party. I don't have any TSG stamps yet, but they're on their way, including my own designs!!! And tomorrow the sneak peeks begin. I can't wait to see what fabulous cards the Trendsetters are going to come up with.
