Sweet Blessings and I'm published in a book!

I'm so swamped with design deadlines and paper crafted projects that my little blog has been last priority, I'm afraid.

Here's a vintage card using my Spellbinders Home Sweet Home dies (wings, small tag and flower), along with a label die for the main image. The little flower embellishment are die cuts from the same die set. I love how the wings emboss. I swiped my brown ink on the embossed part to make it stand out, though it's hard to see on the photo. The papers are Prima and the bling on the wings is from Want2Scrap. The sentiment is from a retired set by Layers of Color. I downloaded that image a while ago and can't seem to remember where I got it.
NBD Home Card Blessings
I know the title may sound deceiving :), I didn't actually write a book. But my paper crafted works are included in Paper Crafts' first ever, brand spanking new book, Party Ensembles. As usual, my projects there are vintage-inspired and celebrate my favorite holiday. I'm super excited to be included in this book. I love the concept!
Finally, I'm having a giveaway soon on my Nina B Designs Facebook Page. Please join me there for a chance to win! Thank you for your continued visits and comments! Have a fabulous day!

Bird-day Birdcage

Hi, friends! Happy weekend! Do you have any crafting plans? I'm having a card workshop tomorrow with some friends and their friends. We planned this two weeks ago, but we were snowed in. We anticipate spring-like weather this weekend, so I can't wait!

Today's card uses one of my latest The Craft's Meow stamps, Tweet of You.  I made it a little whimsical by adding the wings from my Spellbinders Home Sweet Home dies.
Bird-day
The papers are Crate Papers again. The little flower is hiding a little stamping "blob" :-). The colors were inspired by this week's Moxie Fab's Tuesday Trigger.

Spring Love

We are finally getting warmer weather and the snow is slowly melting away. Though it's still hovering right above freezing, we can finally enjoy being outside again. I was inspired to make this spring card.

The butterflies are Hero Arts digital stamps. The chevron background and sentiment (which was die cut using Spellbinders Home Sweet Home dies) are by Waltzingmouse stamps, the gray PP is Echo park. The bling is Want2Scrap. The links are below.
With Love
The butterflies were colored with Copics. I think this is the first time I've ever tried to blend two different color families.

I also used WMS Sketch for my card:
and the color scheme is from CR84FN challenge.
Have a great weekend, friends!

XOXO and Exciting News!

I have another Valentine card for you today. I never celebrated Valentine's day as a kid. We just never did that in the Philippines. As a card maker, though, I love making these lovelies now. I adore the color palette of reds and pinks.

This one uses my Spellbinders licensed designs, Sewing Elements (dress form) and Home Sweet Home (small tag). The "XO" sentiment is by The Craft's Meow. The papers are Crate Paper and there's that heart pearls again. I can't get enough of these Want2Scrap bling. After I put this card together with all the elements, it looked like it was missing something. A few staples later, then it's complete :).
XO
The wooden butterfly wings are leftovers from Pink Paislee's collection last year. It was broken, so I got this idea to put behind the dress form.

Finally, my happy news...I mentioned earlier that I am in the 2012 Want2Scrap DT. I didn't mention that I am also a product designer for this wonderful bling company. You can take a peek of my designs here.  They are Borders and Corners for your lovely cards! I can't wait to see what you make with these.
Have a great day, friends!
