Waltzing Mouse May Blog Waltz

This is my very first Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Waltz. I hope I'm doing it right :-). I was finally able to ink up some WMS stamps that I got last month from winning their sketch challenge. I love Claire's designs. She's one of the most talented paper crafters I know.
This month's theme is Masculine. I had to go clean and simple for this one. No lace or ribbons like my usual cards. I used the Offbeat Backgrounds set to create the plaid background. The sentiment is from Lovely Labels 3 by Gina K Designs.
Fathers Day
More info about the waltz here. The sketch follows the WMS Challenge this week. I flipped it upside down and they ask that you stamp a border, which I did with the sentiment. The buttons and twine make it perfect for the CAS-ual Friday challenge this week.

Have a great day!

Spring Hugs

Today's card uses my latest GinaK Lovely Labels 3. The label was, of course, die cut with Spellbinders Labels 18. The papers are American Crafts Enchanted. The pink ribbon and buttons are PTI and twine by The Twinery.
Hugs
Don't forget the Lily Pad Cards Hop is still happening. I don't know about you, but I'm excited about this new challenge blog because it involves many of my stamping idols.

Welcome, Lily Pad Cards! Blog Hop

Welcome to stop #5 in the Lily Pad Cards blog hop! I am so excited to be a part of this event that finally reveals what Lily Pad Cards is all about and features so many of my paper crafting idols from all over the world. This blog hop starts today and will feature seven blogs per day when it culminates on Friday, April 1, with the grand opening of Lily Pad Cards.

Lily Pad Cards is a new challenge blog that will feature interviews, articles, videos, challenges, great prizes, and more!

Although Lily Pad Cards doesn’t officially bloom until April 1, 2011, you’ll be able to see a new sneak peek every day until then. And you’ll definitely want to drop by because there are three prize packages with a total retail value of over $800 - including a $100 gift certificate to a very popular online store! Go here for specific prize details and contest rules.

The hop’s theme is Welcome because not only are we welcoming Lily Pad Cards to the neighborhood, but we’re also welcoming all of you to come in and join in all the fun.

I have two cards to show you. The first welcomes spring. The girl is Little Frieda stamp by The Craft's Meow. The papers are Echo Park Springtime and the sentiment is SRM Stickers Sentiments' Spring.
Welcome Spring
My second card uses GinaK's Lovely Labels 3 (label and sentiment) stamps and Layers of Color's Embroidered Butterfly, which was colored with Copics. The papers are Crate Paper's Portrait Collection.
Welcome Home Butterfly

Gina K Designs' March Release Hop, Day 4

I hope you've been enjoying the new format of the hop after the stamps have been released. This way, there's no waiting involved :-).

Today's cards feature the new Stamp TV kit, Springtime Silhouettes. They are just my style - very vintage. I used my Lovely Labels 3 for the frame and sentiment. The papers are from the brand new Emma's Shoppe by Crate Paper. I love this new paper line. I covered the bird with glitter.

My second card uses two images and a sentiment from Springtime Silhouettes and a label from the Lovely Labels 3. The papers are from Crate Paper's Portrait Collection. Can you tell CP is fast becoming my favorite paper company? I'm also loving twill tape.

Gina K Designs' March Release Hop, Day 3

Today is the day I get to show you cards I've made using my latest Lovely Labels 3 set. As you probably already know, I love my Spellbinders Nestabilities and have an affection for anything vintage. Add to that the need I had for masculine labels...so I just had to design this set! :-). I also had the military and expats (which I am) in mind when I added the sentiments.

For my first card, I used the labels to make this vintage masculine card. Who said we can't use lace on a masculine card? :-). I die cut one of Spellbinders' Elegant Posts for the post.
LL3 Card 4
This next one is a quick card to make and used up some ribbon scraps. I die cut the label image with the Oval Nesties, so you don't have to use the specific labels the stamps were designed for.
LL3 Card 2
This card uses Rupa's Cute as a Bug set. I created a scene using Echo Park's Springtime papers. I just love the sentiment, which was die cut and sponged using SB Grommet Tags dies, that came with the image.
Cute as a Bug
Finally, I have Tami Mayberry's Perfect Pennants on this card. I die cut the banners borders and tassels from the SB Basic Banners dies. The papers are also from EP Springtime.

You're the Best and Some Announcements!

I just have a few announcements for you today. Please join me and the Gina K Designs team as we showcase the new release stamps this week. I will be back tomorrow morning for the GKD hop using three of the new stamps. And as usual, Gina will be offering some generous prizes along the way.

Here's a CAS card that was shared at the release party on Thursday using my latest Lovely Labels 3. I white embossed it on Chocolate brown cardstock. I stamped the text background from Vintage Backgrounds on the bottom with Versamark for added interest. The sentiment is die cut using Spellbinders' Fancy Tags Two.
LL3 Card 1
And tomorrow, my good friend Lisa Hjulberg will have the GRAND OPENING of her brand new adventure, The Craft's Meow. She has previews already showing on the blog, so make sure you check out what yumminess she has in store for us paper crafters.

See you back here tomorrow! Finally, don't forget to check out my 2nd blog anniversary giveaway. More details HERE.

Finally, here's a sneak peek of my Princess Wand on the SRM Blog today. You can purchase these wands from their online store HERE. They are so fun to decorate.

I made it for my daughter who dressed as a princess (basically, she just dressed her Sunday best and fixed her hair up) for Masquerade a couple of weeks ago.
