Thinking of You

Hi, friends. It's a holiday here today, so I have a quick post for you. We spent most of the day outside and loved the beautiful weather we're having right now.

My card is for The Play Date Cafe's challenge. The Craft's Meow is the sponsor! Here's the photo/color inspiration:
Here's my card using TCM's Nature's Beauty and Inspired by Audrey (sentiment) stamp sets. The thin turquoise strip is embossed with Spellbinders M-Bossabilities (ES-006).

I heat embossed the flower silhouette images with white. Some Want2Scrap bling on the cute little butterflies and twine finish the card. It's a very simple card to make and perfect for this week's CAS-ual Friday challenge as well, but I'm a little late to the party :(.

Bright Mother's Day cards

I have been doing some more spring cleaning and de-hoarding my supplies. I have a small craft area in our bedroom and it feels good to get rid of stuff by making something from once loved products. It feels even better when I find stuff that hasn't been used. Almost 100% of my projects here on my blog use at least one thing I designed (stamps, dies, bling). I am, however, also a fan of other similar products, but just never get around to using them. If only there were more hours in a day! :)

Most of them were given to me as gifts (I have very generous friends and family :)). I hope to be able to use these neglected supplies and show my cards in future posts. I started yesterday with the beautiful Spring Bouquet stamp from Flourishes. For my card below, I used Papertrey Ink's Rosie Posie stamps. The sentiments is Waltzing Mouse's Blessed By You set. I love the sentiments in this set. The papers were my favorite papers last year, Crate Paper's Emma's Shoppe, and these are the last remaining sheets from that collection. The pearls are by Want2Scrap. I'm entering this to Flourishes Lovely in Lace Challenge.

Here's CARD #2 that is super simple. It's perfect for the CAS-ual Friday challenge, which is being sponsored by The Craft's Meow. And the flowers are perfect for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge as well. I accented the flower with a border die cut using Spellbinders Edgeabilities dies. The sentiments is from The Craft's Meow's Mother and Father set.

Spring Bouquet

My friends, Beate and Heather, have been inspiring me to use my Flourishes stamps and Copic markers. Here's a card for Flourishes' Motherly Love challenge. It also works with the Lovely in Lace challenge but just read that you can't combine your entry with challenges. I'm a newbie to their challenges, though I've been a big fan of their stamps and DT members. Since the Mother's Love didn't say anything about  not combining challenges, I hope it's okay that I'm combining this with two others: CAS-ual Friday (something you'll find inside an Easter basket...flowers, of course!) and Simon Says Stamps Challenge (April Showers).

Since I spent a lot of time on the coloring, I made the rest of the card super simple. The little swirly bling is by Want2Scrap. It's hard to see on the photo, but the bow is chocolate brown.

And speaking of Copic markers, Two Peas in a Bucket is selling their Copic markers at 50% off today only! This is the cheapest I've ever seen them.

Fun-tache-tic CAS card

Thank you for sharing my excitement regarding my new designs for Want2Scrap! As soon as I am able, I will have a giveaway of them right here, so stay tuned!

Today's card is for CAS-ual Friday challenge (the mustache was paper pieced using the same paper as the flag), which is being sponsored by The Craft's Meow, and for Moxie Fab's Around the House challenge (I used staples and kebab sticks on my card). I'm also entering this to the Lily Pad patterned paper challenge. I don't know if you've noticed, but I have been making "scrappy" cards lately. I've been inspired by so many beautiful cards at Two Peas in a Bucket whose primary fans are scrapbookers. I have such a collection of patterned papers, why not use them up?

I used Crate Paper papers, TCM's Fun{tache}tic set and twine. It's super CAS, took no more than 15 minutes to put together. Have a great weekend, friends!
