Some Challenge cards

First is for the Embellish Magazine's color challenge to use rust, brown and green. I used GinaK's Pure Luxury Cardstocks Pumpkin Spice, Chocolate Kiss and Green Apple. If you want to see how these colors compare with SU and PTI papers, please go to my post ---> HERE.

This is a masculine set of 6 note cards (2 of each) using Theresa's newest set, Life is Good. These are super easy to make. The hardest part is cutting out the buck image, but it's totally worth it.

I had to add one design with a ribbon.

Here's a multi-challenge tag that covers the following:

And here's a close up. This is now hanging on our tree.

Finally, my card for this week's Card Patterns. Here is the sketch and my card follows.

Chris Franco, demo for The Angel Company, is the sponsor again this week. The snowman and postage stamps are from TAC. She is also offering a sweet deal for CardPatterns fans. Check out the CP blog for more info. Please join us for a chance to win some TAC goodies.

Whimsical, and Mojo-licious Vintage-y Butterfly

I have a thing for butterflies. I think they are some of God's most beautiful creatures. So, when I saw this Beautiful Butterflies set from Unity on sale last week, I had to have them. They are huge stamps, too, which make them easy to use as the focal point on a card.

I made this for my cousin, who just graduated from high school. It's hard to believe that she was just a little flower girl when I got married. Now she's a beautiful, young lady, who's off to college.

I followed the ever so popular Mojo Monday's sketch this week. The card base and papers are by My Mind's Eye. I used Really Rust and Old Olive with the rolling technique when inking the butterfly. I cut it out, then popped it out, as with the sentiment (Hero Arts) for the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge this week.

Here's my submission for the Mojo Monday 89 challenge this week. This is one of the cards in a personalized notecard set I'm making for a client. The papers are from the Bailey Collection by K&Co. Card base is So Saffron, button is from PTI, Prima flower and yellow ribbon.

Make sure you go to this post to enter in my first blog candy. One of the prizes is a paper pack sampler of GinaK's Pure Luxury Cardstocks. Have a good weekend!

Elegant Father's Day Cards for SOA

Two more cards using my new digital papers from GinaK Designs. The release party is tonight at the SCS forum, from 7-10PM CST, I can't wait. My very first stamps from GinaK will be finally released. Everything will be available for purchase after 10PM CST. I will try to be there, but it starts when it's 2AM here. I'd better make sure there's a pot of coffee brewing :-).

I would have loved to show you samples using my new stamps, Special Fathers, but they're waiting for me in GA. We're headed there exactly two weeks from today and I didn't want them sent to Croatia. They're precious cargo, you know, I didn't want to lose them in the mail :-). Instead, I'm showing you the new digital papers that match the stamps. I made them with two color schemes (if you know why, read here), red and orange.

This first card is for the Mojo Monday Challenge that also benefits the Stampin' Out Alzheimer's cause and Fun-Frilled Challenge to use 4 eyelets.

This next card is also for Stampin' Out Alzeheimer's using the Sweet Sunday Sketch. All papers, except the panel with the diagonal strips, are from my new Special Fathers Orange Paper Pack from GinaK Designs. The stamps used are from Inkadinkadoo and Basic Grey.

Mojo Monday, Verve Parade and my newest venture

I finally get to submit for Verve Stamps' Mojo Monday Challenge. I also combined Verve's Project Parade Challenge to make something for a special woman in your life.

I see Mojo's sketches in many blogs I visit and I've always admired them, but think the sketches are just far too fancy for my abilities. I'm the type that likes to produce quick and easy, clean and simple cards. It's very rare that my cards take more than 30 minutes to make. But, that's why I love challenges. They make me try something new and I end up loving it. Having the chance to win some free stamps is a good motivator, too. :-)

Here's the sketch for this week's Mojo.

And here's my card:

I just couldn't find the perfect paper to put on the bottom panel, so I just embossed it. The flower is my own drawing that's printed on the computer with the sentiment, which means "happy mother's day" in Croatian. The image is watercolored using reinkers.

ETA: You can download this flower image as a freebie on this post.

Supplies: Stamps (Guidelines); Papers (Aqua Mist, Basic Black CS, American Tradition DSP); Ink (Blush Blossom, Rose Romance, Sage Shadow, Pretty in Pink reinkers by SU); Cuttlebug folder, button by Basic Grey, ribbon by Joann's.

And I just want to share my newest design venture. This is huge because it's a first for me. I now offer one of my designs on t-shirts for ladies and little girls through Zazzle.com. They're perfect for spring and summer and there are many colors to choose from. Here's the design and the sample shirts follow. Click on the picture to go directly to buy it. Thanks for letting me share my news.
