Butterfly Cards

I have two cards for you today that I made in the US a few weeks ago. I combined cute and shabby on these cards using limited supplies. I started with Echo Park's Beautiful Life papers and used the colors as a guide as I assembled my card.

The sentiments are SRM Stickers which were adhered using Scrapbook Adhesives by3L. The butterflies are from the Pink Paislee's Artisan collection that I swiped with Imagine Crafts inks.

The Craft's Meow's September Blog Hop: Anything Goes

Welcome to The Craft's Meow's September Blog Hop. Our theme this month is Anything Goes with a Technique. If you came from Lin Brandyberry's blog, then you're at the right spot. Please check the TCM blog for the complete list.

For todays' card, I used the Vintage Baby and Cottage Garden stamp sets. The techniques I used are stitching and fussy cutting. I love these two techniques often on my cards.

The papers are Vintage Bliss by Simple Stories. I used coordinating seam binding, tags and inks to match the papers. I accented the tag with Want2Scrap rhinestones. The flower and label were attached using DODZ by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. The tag was adhered using SAby3L's 3D Foam Squares.

A couple of challenge cards

Hi, friends! I've been hit with another cold/flu bug and was not online for a few days. I'm rarely sick and now I've been battling one thing after another. The upside is nobody else seems to have caught whatever it is that ails me. I hope it stays that way.

I have two cards for you today for two challenges. The first is for The Craft's Meow's December sketch challenge. I used Vintage Clock for this card and some leftover Simple Stories Summer Fresh papers.

Here is the sketch:
My next card is for the Crafty Friends' Challenge. Beate challenged us to create a CAS (clean and simple) card. This may not qualify as CAS with 3 layers, but it's simpler than my usual style :).

I used my Vintage Clock set again for this one (the clock in the background and the sentiment). The lovely die cut is Spellbinders Morrocan Motif die.

I hope you can play along with these two challenges. Before I go, please check out the Simon Says Stamps blog where they are featuring my cards. And there's a giveaway, too! Have a great week!

More Use-My-Stash projects

I have more projects to share with you today using my stash. I used my favorite Simple Stories paper stack for these cards. My first one uses a sentiment from Penny Black's Foliage Fancy stamp set.
Dehoard-proj4
This one uses a chipboard bird by Basic Grey. The sentiment is from Penny Black's Petal Party stamp set.
Dehoard-proj3
This card uses some die cuts using Spellbinders' Morrocan Accents and Motifs and The Craft's Meow's Love Dwells Here stamp set. The rosette is by American Crafts.

To all our American friends, we hope you all have a wonderful and safe thanksgiving weekend. It's an ordinary day here with school :(, but we'll celebrate with a special dinner that includes some treasured finds from the local markets (ribs and sweet potatoes).

NinaB Designs November Blog Hop

Welcome to the monthly NinaB Designs team blog hop. NinaB Designs is a product designer for a few paper crafting companies, including Spellbinders, Want2ScrapPenny Black, and The Craft's Meow. For this month's hop, I challenged the team to create something with Winter and Holidays in mind.

The holidays provide many opportunities for paper crafters to give an extra personal touch to every occasion.  Whether you are doing place cards for a dinner, tags for gift giving or even just hand made projects using your supplies on hand, it is a blessed season indeed!

I used a lot of scrap papers for my projects today. That is one advantage of using dies.:) My first card uses my Sweet Folk Art dies with Simple Stories and My Mind's Eye papers.
Angel
I used felt for the hair/halo and the heart.Using my white pen, I connected the holes on the wings to make them look stitched. All the dies in this set have the holes for a quilted/stitched look. The sentiment is TCM's Season's Greetings.
Angel-det
My second card is a winter scene using my Home Sweet Home and Sweet Folk Art dies (heart banner). Again these were die cut using My Mind's Eye scraps. I hand cut the snow drift.
All-is-Calm
The background snowflake is Madison Paper pack by Penny Black. The sentimet is from All is Bright stamp set, also by Penny Black.

Here are the products I used for my project:

Smiles

I took a break from my holiday card-making project and made today's card that used up some scraps laying around on my desk. This is pretty clean and simple. The papers are by Simple Stories.
PB-Smiles
I stamped and colored with Copics my Penny Black Petal Party stamps.I did something a little different with my coloring. I only blended the lighter shades of red and left the dark center. I kind of like the unique look. As usual, lace, twine and button are also used on my card :).

Happy Birthday to You

Hi, friends! It's been crazy busy here with our American guests and my poor blog has been neglected. It's a good kind of busy as we are doing a community outreach teaching English in our town with almost 200 kids! It's been wonderful and we're having a great time. And I love having English-speaking guests! I don't have a brain overload by the end of the day...:)

Here is another card using SRM Stickers and Simple Stories' Summer Fresh collection. I love the combo of these products that make happy cards. The banners and sentiments are SRM stickers. The papers, frame and "happy" are from Summer Fresh.
SRM-SS4
The rose is by Want2Scrap, twine by the Twinery.

I hope you're staying warm.

Wonderful Sweet Friend

I have another Simple Stories card today that pairs well with SRM Stickers. I just love these happy colors, don't you? The banners, sentiments are by SRM. The Wonderful Sweet and papers are part of the Simple Stories collection.
SRM-SS1
I made a little flag with the "many thanks" sentiment. The rose is by Want2Scrap. I hand cut the leaves. Some twine and buttons finish the card.

Miss You Bright Collage

Today's card is a little different for me. It's sort of a collage, but with bright elements, rather than the typical vintage shabby. The die cut the roof of the house using my Spellbinders Home Sweet Home dies.
SRM-SS3
The different elements were already pre-printed collages from the Simple Stories Summer Fresh Collection. I trimmed the bottom strip with pinking shears. Button and twine are the perfect embellishments.
