This is another one for Cath's fun Around the House challenge to use household items as the focal point on your project. You can find more details on the Moxie Fab Blog.
I am hosting the StampTV's color challenge this week. I mentioned before how much I am loving the Soft Sand/Kraft CS at the moment. And red is my all-time favorite color, so here is the color combo I picked:
I printed Emily's Rich & Shabby digipapers on Kraft CS, distressed the edges and stitched it onto Chocolate Kiss. The clock is from my first GKD set, Special Fathers, and colored with Copics (E53, E57). I sponged a little bit of cream pigment ink on the clock to give it more depth. I just love that sentiment. Isn't that what card-giving is all about - to celebrate the recipient of your labor of love? :-)
What a week it's been! I've had to get an emergency root canal and during one of the dental visits, the infection hadn't cleared, so the Novocaine didn't work all that well. Man, I'm thankful God made me to have a high tolerance for pain. It was still awful, though. My mouth is still sore and I have one last appointment on Friday before we head home to Croatia on Thursday.
I've also been taking my girls to see their dermatologist. All three of them have/had eczema and my youngest has it the worst. We just want to make sure we've all stocked up on all the creams, medicines and lotions before we leave. And today, I'm off to see another doctor about my sinuses. I was supposed to have sinus surgery, but because I don't have the recommended recovery time (I was told about 2 weeks before we are supposed to leave) anymore, I opted out of it until next time we're stateside. For now, I will just have to spray my nose regularly to keep my sinuses healthy.
Okay, enough medical talk ;-)...here are a couple of cards using my Elegant Post stamp set. The card bases of both cards are from My Mind's Eye.
Ink: Ruby Red Paper: Ruby Red, GKD Pure luxury white, So Saffron Other: red button by Michael's, string, Martha Stewart Punch and pearl

Finaly, here's the winner of the Elegant Post blog hop...and random.org gave me number #73 and that's STAMPQUEEN who said...
This summer I am thankful for a little extra time with my kiddos - both are teenagers now....sometimes I feel like the days are just flying by...Love this stamp set and the cards you did withit!!!!
Please email me your mailing address ASAP, so I can send you the Elegant Post stamp set and other goodies. Thank you all for playing along.
Here are a couple of cards I made using my Elegant Post set from GinaK. The papers I used are from the Simple Elegance digital paper pack. Though I still love actual papers, I do enjoy working with digital papers, which provide a few benefits over pre-printed ones.
1. You will never run out of digital papers (as long as you have ink, of course :-)). 2. You will keep the digital file forever and print them as needed, which saves natural resources. 3. You save precious storage space, too. 4. If you have a photo-editing software, you can even manipulate the colors and effects of the digital paper designs that suit your preference. You can also change the size of the design. If you look closely on the papers below, I printed the red bigger than the yellow.
This is how I print my digital papers. With these two sheets, I was able to make several cards. And I don't waste paper. I have a Canon Pixma printer and it's pretty efficient in printing these. I don't notice that I'm changing the ink more often and we do use our printer quite a bit at home.
Stamps: Elegant Post by GKD Ink: Ruby Red, Summer Sun Paper: Ruby Red, Summer Sun Others: So Saffron ribbon, brad by Michael's, corner rounder, scallop punch
...to my first ever blog hop with GinaK Designs, featuring my new stamp set, Elegant Post.
With the hop, I will also be celebrating 5 months of blogging, 28,500 hits and having 100+ followers on this little blog of mine. I will be offering a fun blog candy that includes some of my favorite products, so don't miss it. The deets will be on the blog hop post tomorrow, starting 10PM CST (11pm EST, 8pm PST).
And guess who has agreed to join in this hop? My very talented friend, Silke, will be joining the hop. If you've been to her blog, you know she will not disappoint. I've been her fan ever since I found her blog several months ago looking for butterfly punches. I've been privileged to see her create with my illustrations that There She Goes produced. Tomorrow, she'll be showing off her talent using Elegant Post. I had the privilege of meeting Silke during our trip to Savannah just recently. It was such a treat for me to meet one of my stamping inspirations. And she was kind enough to take time off her busy schedule to visit with me. We were so comfortable instantly like we've known each other for so long. Thanks, Silke, and I hope God will allow our paths to cross again either here in the US or in Croatia!!!
Thank you so much for coming over to visit me here regularly. I hope you will always find something inspirational here. Have a blessed day! Now I'm off to create...
I'm writing after midnight from my hotel room in Orlando. In just a few hours, I will be enjoying CHA for the first time and I can't wait. My parents came in from LA just a few hours ago, so I had to miss the release party that GinaK hosted at SCS. I hope you will take the time to participate in the challenges there to win some fabulous prizes.
Since I am out of town, I don't have any more cards to show you using my new set, Elegant Post, but I want to send you to my friend Sue's blog. She's one of the In the Spotlight Center Stage designers for this month and she's made some beautiful projects using Elegant Post.
And here is Elegant Post in its entirety: And the matching papers come in two forms, each paper pack has 12 coordinating colors. I included more pocketbook-friendly (the whole paper is not all colored to save ink and money) :-) patterns in these packs.
Here is Simple Elegance with its clean lines and patterns. The color combo I used also coordinate with Stampin' Up's Summer Sun, Going Gray, Pacific Point (or Tempting Turquoise), Purely Pomegranate (or Bravo Burgundy), and GinaK's newest color, Green Apple.
And Grungy Elegance paper pack for those who like a little bit more texture and distressed look.
I hope to post some pictures of the news goodies at CHA later today.
{The winner of the blog candy is just below this post}
...but I have more Elegant Post cards to share with you. Don't forget the release party is TONIGHT this SCS thread, 7-10 PM central time. I hope to be able to stop by, but we're driving 8+ hours to Orlando to visit some friends and, of course, to go to CHA. I will try to share some pics tomorrow from the happenings there.
I used the Simple Elegance digital paper pack on these cards. Both the stamps and papers will be available for purchase after the party tonight.

Then, you need to start at Gina's blog where you will find her beautiful cards using my Elegant Post set and Melanie's very cutting edge set, Inspiration Mosaic. As with all of Melanie's sets, this new one is very versatile and has tons of possibilities for many occasions. Due to some mailing issues and my traveling schedule, I don't have any cards to show you, but hopefully I'll get to play some tomorrow!
To view the GinaK Designs DT projects, you can visit their blogs here: Melanie, Lynn,Cathy,Donna,Jessica, Lee,Kurtis, andTheresa. Also, check out GKD's CenterStage Spotlight girls: my dear friend, Sue Walsh, is showing an Elegant Post card todayand JenMarie Taylor has a card made with the new Inspiration Mosaic stamp set.
Don't forget to enter my blog candy giveaway on THIS PREVIOUS POST to get a chance to win my new set, Elegant Post.
This is a card I made for HeroArts' Monochromatic Challenge. I love monochromatic cards with a little bit of black or brown. The bird was colored with Copics. I'm also following two other challenges this week: Our Creative Corner (to use 3 embellishments) and Stamp Something (to use any winged thing).
Now for some blog candy!!! My new stamp set from GinaK Designs will be released on the 30th of July. I will be out of town during the release day because I'll be on my way to CHA! I can't wait. It'll be my first and I'm just giddy with excitement. I have a list of people I look forward to meeting.
I have to tell you my new stamp set's one of my favorites so far. It's so versatile and I can't wait to share it with you. I also designed some matching patterned papers to go with it. I'm giving one copy of my stamp set away as candy and this is what you have to do. To qualify for my blog candy, leave a comment to answer this question...
If you could meet a stamping/scrapbooking diva, who would it be? I know on the top of my list is GinaK herself. Unfortunately, she won't be there at CHA, but I'm still hoping someday God will allow our paths to cross. So, how about you?
I will announce the winner to be picked using random.org on Thursday morning before I hit the road for CHA. Tell others about it. If your friends comment, make sure you ask them to mention your name and you will be entered twice.
I'm off now to the World of Coke museum to do some sight-seeing. My girls can't wait to taste all the other Coke flavors from all over the world. Have a good weekend!
The GinaK release party last night was so fun. I hadn't planned to stay the whole time since I had so much laundry to do and we're headed on a road trip again today. But, I just couldn't leave my compter. :-). The new stamps and cards were just fabulous.
Here's a CAS card I made using the Bug Me Anytime stamp set. There are challenges and questions over at the GinaK forum at SCS. Make sure you participate to win some fabulous stamps from GinaK. This card uses Challenge #2 (to make a one layer card with one embellishment) and Challenge #3 (using the pink and brown color combo).
I did the repeat stamping technique (I'm not sure if that's what it's called) where I inked the stamp once and stamped it several times. I drew the outline using the Koh-i-noor brown pencil and the gaps are done by using an eraser.
And now the winner of the Bug Me Anytime set, according to Random.org is...
#15 Brenda!
Please email me your mailing address and I'll get your stamp in the mail. And I will be mailing the papers from my previous blog candy today too. I'm so sorry for the delay, but we haven't been home more than a day or two. I didn't think we would be this busy, but some things haven't gone as smoothly as I had hoped. But, we're enjoying ourselves.
I am still on the road, so excuse me if this is a quick post. I will include the supplies I used later. Here are some more cards using my newest stamp set called Bug Me Anytime. I used the summer, bright color paper pack on these cards. Make sure you leave a comment on my previous post to get a chance to win it.
For the first card, I used Copic markers for the first time! I just got a few to see what the fuss is all about and I must say, I can see myself falling in love with them. The background paper was printed on GinaK Pure Luxury Cream layering wt. paper.
For the second card, I used a sentiment from the latest StampTV kit.
And finally, another simple and quick card. I just love the faces on these bugs.
And don't forget Gina is previewing and giving away more stamps today on her blog. And of course, the release party is on this thread-tonight, June 25th from 7-10 PM Central Time. At 10 PM, 6 new stamp sets, new Pure Luxury card stock (in one very trendy color) and some great new accessories will be available for sale! Gina will be giving away lots of freebies too, including templates and digital papers!
Make sure you leave a comment on my previous post to get a chance to win it.
I am so thrilled to share some cards I made using my newest GinaKDesigns stamps called "Bug Me Anytime." I also designed matching paper packs in two color schemes - pastel and bright summer colors. This stamp set includes flowers, cute bugs and sentiments.
For today's cards, I used the paper pack with yummy pastel colors. They coordinate well with SU's So Saffron, Certainly Celery and Pink Pirouette papers. These colors are my current three most favorite colors right now.
For this card, I used the dandelion stamp as border on one side. I just love the look on that snail. And that mushroom is so fun to paper piece.
For this card, I used 3 of the flower images in this set.
This is a quick card using my favorite of the background papers. the sentiment works perfectly well with the paper.
Another quick card using the dandelion to create a background paper. I went monochromatic with this, using Real Red, Pink Passion and Memento Angel Pink inks. The sentiment is from the latest StampTV kit called Eclectic summer sayings.
This card also uses a sentiment from the Eclectic Summer sayings set. I love the simplicity of this card and the color combo is one of my favorites.
Now, do you want to win the Bug Me Anytime stamp set? All you have to do is leave me a comment here. And if you'd like, tell me what your favorite color combo is. Come back tomorrow for more card samples using this new set. I will pick one random winner from the comments from today and will announce the winner on Friday. And don't forget to check out GinaK DT's creations during the blog hop. You can begin at Gina's blog, where you will find all the links to the DTs' blogs and another chance to win more stamp sets.
The release party is on this thread-Thursday, June 25th from 7-10 PM Central Time. At 10 PM, 6 new stamp sets, new Pure Luxury card stock (in one very trendy color) and some great new accessories will be available for sale! Gina will be giving away lots of freebies too, including templates and digital papers!
I finally got to play with my Special Fathers stamp set by GinaK Designs. I had so much fun using these, especially since just several months months ago, these were just ideas in my head. When I drew this grandfather clock, I had my dad in mind because he loves them. And the wall clock is exactly like the one we have hanging in our Croatian home.
I'm entering this to Verve's It's a Guy Thing challenge. I'm an equal opportunity stamper and love Verve's style, too. :-) I'm determined to win some of their stamp sets. And I'm also submitting this to the Fun Frilled challenge to celebrate dad.
My new baby is here...introducing my new stamp set, Special Fathers, by GinaK Designs. It's perfect for those sometimes difficult masculine cards for any occasion (Father's day is just around the corner). You can also make elegant notecards for both men and women and I can see using this set on scrapbooks, too. It's very versatile.
I designed matching digital papers for this set, in red and orange color schemes. You can view samples I made using these papers here and here.
Did you also see the new StampTV kit? Wow, it's amazing and for less than $50, you get 2 stamp sets, lots of GinaK's Pure Luxury Papers (which come now in blue and textured red, my two favorite colors) and tons of ribbons and other embellishments. Watch this video to see what you get in this kit. Gina will show video tutorials on StampTV in the next several weeks using this kit.
And now for the freebies, I am offering my first free digital papers here on my blog. I call them Paper Romance because they just scream romance to me :-). I think these papers will match the Blossom for Mom and Hydrangea free digistamps I offered previously. Click on the picture below to direct you to the download site. Make sure you read the Terms of Use on the first page before using. To see a sample using these papers, look here.
The papers are 8.5" x 11" size, but you can print them in any size. That's the beauty of digital. The file is in PDF form. To print several papers in one page:
1. Open file. 2. Go to the File menu, then to Print. 3. Under Page Handling, on the third box down, click on the arrow for the Page Scaling drop-down menu. Choose multiple sheets per page. 4. Under Pages per Sheet, indicate the number of pages you want printed in one sheet. If you choose 2, then the papers will be printed as half page, 4 will give you 1/4 size paper. Please note also that they will print in a smaller scale. 5. Click OK.
I met my friend Lisa just a few months ago in cyberspace. She's truly a remarkable lady and SU Demo. She always sends me encouraging emails and great deals on SU products. She made an amazing card using one of my stamp designs, Cupcake M&M from There She Goes. Go check it out here. Thanks, Lisa.
