Party time

Got some good news and some sad news today.  The good news is that it's launch time at AlDressed Up and there are four lovely images.  The sad news is that I've decided to step down from the team.  I'm increasingly wanting to create with other brands that I don't have an affinity with and do more guest spots as I'm trying to keep fresh and explore my style more.

But onto the new release!  Here is my make using Just So Cool...

I think she really is just so cool!  A great card for my cool niece methinks.  I was inspired by her tie and found some ribbon that reminded me of my old school tie.  It's been sitting in my stash for years, obviously waiting for this cutie to be created!  I used an American Crafts rub on sentiment and a treble clef using a My Favorite Things die.

Here are the other newbies in store...

Easter Bunny

Little Flower Girl

On My Farm

A great collection, huh?!  You can see more DT inspiration over at the blog here. And don't forget you've still got time to join in with our current challenge of monochrome.

Thanks for visiting and I'll be back tomorrow with the start of the SugarPea Designs April release sweet sneaks!

Oink oink!

Goodmorning everyone!  I hope your week has gone well and you're looking forward to a lovely weekend.  We have a cloudy, grey weekend predicted here in the UK so it looks like I'll have to stay in and craft instead - woo hoo!  But actually, I wish our Spring would actually act like Spring - I'm so ready for some sun and warmth!

Anyhoo, I made this card for a male friend of mine and with Spring in mind so it's not too girly but hopefully fresh enough...

It's really hard to make a card for a guy with pink in it!  I'm not sure this really worked but for some reason I really like it too!  This is Ollie Oink (what a great name!) and, as you can see, I kept it simple with some Doodlebug papers and a splash of black.

I'm off now but the Doodlelicious Divas will be back to showcase the new release in store tomorrow - see you then!

U R GR8

I'm here today to show you a card I made for a teenager, of course, trying to speak the same language as her!

This is Social Teen Texting - isn't she cool?!  I followed through on the design with the pretty flower in her hair and used Doodlebug rub-on letters for the sentiment.

I'm afraid it's short and sweet today - it's really hard to type with a bandaged thumb!

Get set to get wet!

Hi everyone!  Popping in to share my Trendsetter card using the There She Goes Aquaholic set...

I love this set!  I used October Afternoon papers and my polka dot Embossalicious embossing folder (it's 8x8 so it's great for that extra length I need for my 15cm cards).

There's also a new challenge over at There She Goes and this week it's a colour theme - grey, pink and turquoise - it's gorgeous!  Link up your creations over at the blog here and check out the gorgeous Trendsetter inspiration!

Thanks for visiting and I'll see you tomorrow!

There She Goes blog hop challenge - introducing This Is My Life

(Please scroll down for my CC Designs DT post)

It's new release week for There She Goes and we have four days of sneak peeks before they are in the shop!  Today we are showing you a very fun set that can be used on cards or layouts - This Is My Life by illustrator Torico!  I think it's perfect for those late teenagers to early 20 year olds out there.

Here is my Trendsetter make...

I think my 20 year old nephew will love this!  I matched this stamp up with Digital Design Essentials Happy Place papers, plain Little Miss Muffet party bunting and finished off with a little black button.

You can check out more gorgeous Trendsetter inspiration from the inlinkz below and check out all the deets here.  And don't forget to join in with the blog hop and leave comments along the way for a chance to win prizes!

Okay, thanks for visiting and I'll be back tomorrow with another sneak peek!

Have a gr8 day

It's Bellarific Friday!  And it's an extra special Friday because we have a bank holiday on Monday!  So without further ado, here is my Bellarific Babe card and this week we had a sketch to follow...

I loved using this guy so much in this post that I had to ink him up again!  He is Mo Manning's Game On stamp and the papers are from the Authentique Celebrate paper pad.  I got to use some more of those zillions of alpha stickers I have in my stash too!  I am entering this into Mo Manning's challenge for anything goes.

The next challenge is to use kraft somewhere on your project.  Email your creations to Em by next Thursday 9 May for a chance to win $20 Bella Bucks (either by submitting a project or simply commenting on next week's Bellarific Friday post)!

Day 2 of the Lil' Inker Designs new release hop!

It's day two of the new Lil' Inker Designs release showcasing new stamp sets and matching dies over a three day blog hop!  And make sure you comment as you hop long - the more you comment, the better your chance of winning!  We'll be giving away prizes for two $10 store credits!

So here is my card using the new Notebook stamp set that works with the matching Notebook die...

This is such a cool set - I think it's perfect for guys and teenagers and I made this card for my 20 year old nephew who I think is super cool!

I used My Minds Eye Alphabet Soup papers and a touch of twine.   I even did some doodling with my Sakura white gel pen which I haven't done for ages!

So back to the hop!  You should have come here from sweet Jen Carter and you now need to hop off to the lovely Sarah Jay.  You'll then want to pop off to the store here to see all of the new goodies!

See you tomorrow with day 3 of our hop!

A Tween Teen's Dream over at Take the Pixie Challenge!

(Please scroll down for my Quixotic Inspirations DT post!)

This week's Take the Pixie Challenge is to make a creation for a teenager!  There are so many gorgeous teenage images that I didn't know which one to choose but ended up choosing this one...

I used  Mr Music who is obviously a super cool teenager, just like my nephew!  I matched him up with this great paper from the Cosmo Cricket The Boyfriend paper pad and printed that sentiment from my pc.  I used Distress Ink in Antique Linen to give it a dirty look (rather than a distressed look!) - thought that would be better for a boy!

I hope you can join in with us this week!  The other DT creations are so inspirational and you can see them here!

I am entering my card into the following challenges:

Paper/cardstock: Bazzill cardstock,
Cosmo Cricket The Boyfriend paper pad
Stamps: Pixie Dust Studios Mr Music, PC printed sentiment
Mediums: Copics
Accents: none!

Tools: EK Success border punch, Tim Holtz distressing tool, Nestabilitie die inside card

Another teen card!

I'm not going to say TGIF - but I'm thinking it!!!  My card today is another teen card - I find these so much fun to make (perhaps it's wistful thinking).  Here is a more grungy one!  (Is "grunge" an outdated term now?!!)

This is Codi Stylin by Pollycraft and I made this card especially for this week's Pollycraft challenge for 'teens'.  I am lovin' this brand at the moment!  It might have something to do with yesterday when they chose my card here as one of their top picks from last week's challenge for "fly me to the moon"!  What sweeties!

As a double whammy, yesterday Jeanie chose my card here so I became one of her Krafty Chicks!  I just luuuurve using kraft cardstock - I think it gives a more modern, contemporary feel and I can't get enough of it!  (Luckily Elaine stocks plenty of it here!)  That's twice I've won this award and Jeanie said I'm a "two timing chick" - cheeky chick!  So my head is a little bigger today and I thank both blogs for choosing my cards!

I used the sketch over at Lora Crafts Sunday #12 sketch challenge...

Thanks for joining me today and I hope the day zooms quickly by so you can start your weekend!

Paper/cardstock: Bazzill cardstock, Crate Paper Static paper collection
Stamps: Pollycraft Codi Stylin, flourish stamps (don't know the brand, sorry!)
Mediums: Copics
Accents: stringfrom stash, Robin's Dew Drops, WRMK eyelets
Tools: We R Memory Keepers Crop-A-Dile, Tim Holtz Distressing Tool, Nestabilities dies
