If dogs could speak

Would you believe it, but I managed to make a card just for the sake of creating and not for a DT commitment.  And I must say that I really enjoyed it and must do more of it!

I recently bought the Paper Smooches Dog Icons die set from Make The Day Special and lovely owner Tara threw in a sample of their new Peel and Stick Veneer.  I used these lovely items to make this thank you card...

I also used the Make The Day Special sketch in their current challenge which was perfect for these dies!  The papers are from an old Crate Paper pad and I used My Favorite Things alpha dies for the "woof" and popped them on foam pads for extra depth.  I can't remember which brand the speech bubble die is from but there are so many out there now!  Inside the card I will write "Woof is dog for thank you".

I'm off to make some dinner now but I'll be back tomorrow with my Doodlelicious Diva make.  Enjoy the rest of your evening!

SugarPea Designs sweet sneaks - day 1!

Today is the big day for the new SugarPea Designs shop - we are starting four days of sneak peeks of the new four stamp sets and then the shop opens on Thursday night at 9pm EST!  So without further ado, here is my DT card using Bushel and a Peck...

Isn't she adorable?!  I love that smile on her face!  I matched her up with Crate Paper Brooks paper, used a polka dot embossing folder for background interest and finished it off with a little twine and a daisy.  I love that this set has a variety of sentiments and items that go into the basket - very versatile!

Would you like to win this set?  Just comment along as you hop to each of the designers' blogs for the chance to win.  The winner will be announced at the release party on Thursday between 8pm - 9pm EST on the SugarPea Designs Facebook page.

I'll be back tomorrow with day two of our SugarPea Designs sweet sneaks!

This is the start of three days of sneak peeks of the CC Designs September release stamps and today we are showing off the new autumn themed stamps.  Here is my one Roberto's Rascals Playful Henry...

I love this guy!  And our autumn is starting to kick in now so I'm sure there will be plenty of leaves on the ground soon - boo!   I also used the Bubble Word Sentiments set with the matching C.C. Cutters Say What? die.   You can check out more fun DT inspiration over at the blog here.
Thanks for visiting and I'll be back later with my Doodlelicious Diva post!

In trouble again!

It's time for another There She Goes Again week where we showcase some of our more classic stamp sets and today the Trendsetters have created new projects with Ruh-roh, Garden of Life and In All the World.  Here is my Trendsetter make using Ruh-roh...

Super sweet stamps, huh?  And I love the sentiments that come with the set too.  My card is also suitable for this week's There She Goes Challenge for Fur Friends - hope you can play along too!

The new Pollycrafts challenge is here at last!

And Pollycrafts is well and truly back in blogland with the launch of the new challenge blog today!  And you don't have to use Pollycraft images (although you get store credit if you do and the chance to get featured!) and you have plenty of time to play as they are fortnightly!  So to kick us off, our first challenge is ANYTHING GOES!  Easy peasy!  So without further ado, here is my DT card...

Isn't he handsome?  Just like my nephew!  This fella is from the Candyfloss Crew and he's called Quentin.  I used papers from the Crate Papers Score collection and Echo Park alpha stickers.

So you've got to 2 July to upload your creations and you can check out more inspiration and all the deets over at the blog here!

Thanks for visiting and I'll see you later on my blog rounds!

Everything is more fun with a friend

Hello!  Just very quickly popping in with my Bellarific Babe card using the sweet Annie from the Tiddly Inks Annie and Arthur duo stamp set...

She is soooo pretty!  I coloured her on kraft cardstock with my Copies and used the Crate Paper collection kit along with a sweet doily.  I am entering this card into the Simon Says anything goes challenge.

Okay, I gotta run - thank you for visiting and I will see you tomorrow on my blog rounds!

Ooops, but better late than never - it's Bellarific Friday!

(Please scroll down for my There She Goes new release post!)

I am such a doughnut.  I had my card already for today's Bellarific Friday but I forgot to photograph it or even write this post for it!  Thank goodness Em sent me a sweet reminder!  So, without further ado, here is my Bellarific Babe card and this week the theme was BLING!

Okay, I hear you saying "where's the bling?" but it is there!  I don't use a lot of glitter usually but I did dot a lot of Glamour Dust on the umbrella, her clothes trim and the flowers - if you don't believe me, take a closer look here...

Yes, well, it's still not showing up well on this one either!  Hey ho, you'll just have to take my word for it!  I used Uptown Couple Emily and Ryan Under the Umbrella - don't cha just love that soppy sentiment that comes with it?  I matched them up with the Crate Paper Brook collection and used my Quickutz polka dot embossing folder.  I'm entering my card into the Simon Says anything goes challenge.

So next week we have the fabby sketch to follow.  Email your creations to Em by next Thursday 25 April for a chance to win $20 Bella Bucks (either by submitting a project or simply commenting on next week's Bellarific Friday post)!

Right, I am off but I will see you later on my bloground!

Cheers!

I'm here to share a birthday card I made for a male friend of mine...

Yep, my friend loves his beer!  This image is from the St Pat's Day set which I think is easily adaptable for other occasions.  I used Crate Paper Score papers and some Echo Park alpha stickers popped onto foam pads for depth. I also used a white gel pen for highlights - I think it helps the image to pop!

I hope you like my guy card!  Thanks for visiting and I will see you later on my blog rounds!

(Please scroll down for my All That Scraps April release post!)

It's day 2 of the Lil' Inker Designs April release and today we are showcasing more of the new Stitched Scallop die.  This is gorgeous!  And it's wide enough to add some ribbon or a stamp a sentiment on it!  Here's what I did with it...

I actually left it plainThe sentiment is from new Mom and Dad Sentiment Set and I used the Mini Pinwheel die too.  The papers are from the Crate Paper Sweet Branch collection with a touch of Stampin' Up ribbon.  I added a few iridescent sequins for a little pop of bling!

So back to the hop!  You should have come here from sweet Karen and you now need to hop off to the lovely Sarah.  You'll then want to pop off to the store here to see all of the new goodies!  Make sure you comment as you hop long - the more you comment, the better your chance of winning one of the two prizes of t$10 store credits!

Shades of Green

Happy Monday everybody!  Well, I must start by saying that I'm not very impressed with the UK Spring.  We are in the South East corner of England and it should be at least getting warmer, but instead it's...snowing!!!  What the heck is going on?!  I hear it's got something to do with global warming and we can expect more variable weather.  Bleh.

Okay, rant over.  Today is Monday which means a new challenge has opened over at There She Goes and this week the theme is "shades of green".

I assume this was chosen for the plants starting to typically grow now it's Spring - well it ain't happening!  :)  But then again, am I too bothered?  It will only mean I'll have to get out and do some gardening and, as you know, I HATE that!  Okay, before I start a rant about the weather and gardening again, here is my card...

This card didn't turn out exactly like I expected it to - it meant to have a lot more green in it!  I love this cute zebra.  It's from the Jungle Out There set by illustrator Melyssa Connolly.  This is such a great set - 6 cute images and a ton of funny matching sentiments.  I stamped one of the sentiments onto a Lil' Inker Designs stitched sentiment flag.  I used Crate Paper Brook collection papers and I used my Hero Arts wood grain stamp to create the frame.  I popped the frame and the circle mat onto foam pads to give it some depth.  I am entering this card into Simon Says Stamp for a touch of green.

Check out more greenery over at the There She Goes blog here - I hope you get a chance to join in with us.  You don't need to use TSG stamps but of course we love to see you use them!  The prize is a $5 gift certificate to the store and you could find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday!

Okay, I am off but I will see you tomorrow with my Doodlelicious Diva card!

Chinese New Year hop!

The very sweet and talented Em of Art From The Heart has organised this fabulous Chinese New Year blog hop!  Chinese New Year starts officially on Sunday 10 February but we decided to celebrate a little earlier to give you time to play with the FREE digis being given away!  And not only are there freebies, if you join in the hop you can win the BIG prize!  But I'll get on to that later cos I love to tease!

This is a long post, so settle in!  I have made two cards (as I do have a large Chinese family!) and here is my first make using the sweet Deasy Designs digi...

Oh he is soooo cute!!!  Both images and sentiment come in this digi set and I simply matched them up with Julie Billingsley Forevermore digi papers.

My second card (made for my parents) uses the very gorgeous Sparkle Creations Chinese New Year Rin...

I haven't done a tri-fold card for aaaages but think it worked quite well with these papers.  These are Crate Paper Pink Plum papers and I used the new CC Designs Cutters Cherry Blossoms die.  The ric rac ribbon is velvet so it gives it a touch of luxury and the border is used with a very old pair of Fiskars decorative edge scissors.  I have a whole set of these scissors that I don't use any more now I have my punches and dies - I really should give them away or use them!

Here's who you'll be hopping with us for a chance to win one of five fabulous prizes listed below:

Well, not you of course!  But you still make me happy when you visit!  Anyhoo, I'm here today with my inspiration post using another of those cute whimsical Whimsie Doodles digi stamps from the new release.  Here is my card using the Leaf Me...

He's he fab?  The sentiment also comes with this cool guy!  I created the frame using my square Nesties and I used papers from the Crate Paper School Spirit pad.  I also used My Favorite Things sun and cloud dies and tied some string in my buttons to create a subtle rustic feel to it.

Okay, that's it from me today - see you later on my blog rounds!
