Happy Monday all!  I'm here today with another Doodlelicious Diva make and today I have a card to show you using this sweetie...

This fella is called Ginger and Cup and I coloured him with my Prismacolor pencils to givehim texture.  I also used a Viva Décor gloss pen on his "icing" for some depth and shine.  For the background I used There She Goes Nordic Borders with Brilliance red pigment ink.

Didn't I say he was sweet?  And not only that - he's FREE!  Go and get him and while you're there, check out all of the other new cuties in store too!

Thanks for visiting and I'll be back tomorrow with the next CC Designs new release sneak peeks - ttfn!

Another circular card - sorry!

Hi all!  Hooray, hooray, it's Friday today!  I just love my weekends!  I love my job too, but I just luuurve my weekends more!  I hope you all have fabby things planned - we don't and that's just the way I like it!  But you're not interested in my waffle, so here's my card for today using more delicious Quixotic Paperie goodies!!

It's another circular card but this time I've used my Grand Nestie circle dies instead my usual mini circle cards....

You just gotta love those Wee Stamps for Whimsy Stamp!  This is Sylvia Zet's Wee Stamps Sweet Blossom matched up with Echo Park Sweet Summertime papers (currently 25% off!).  For the border I used my Sew Easy Tool with the Scallop Head and yellow floss.

For embellishment I used 4mm flat backed pearls and created some sublte bling with my Viva Decor Glitter Liner pen on the image and smeared on Make It Crafty Butterfly and Leaves lasercut chipboard.

Et voila!  A sweetie in the making!  And there is still plenty of time to join in with this month's Quixotic Inspirations sketch for a chance to win a £15 voucher - just link up your gorgossity here!

That's it from me today - I'll be around to visit my blog pals (that means YOU!) later today!  ttfn!

Thursday, 7 July 2011

Hello everyone!  It's Thursday so it's time to show you my current faves at Quixotic Paperie!  Well, I am lovin' all of the new SCACD releases this year and the newest Retro Crew 2 release by Victoria Case for SCACD is no exception!  And they are great value at £5.75, or you can currently buy all four new stamps at the reduced price of £18.99 which is a whopping 17% off!

For my make today, I used Retro Crew 2 Take a Note...

It's out of stock as I speak but don't worry!  Quixotic Paperie is the only supplier of SCACD stamps in Europe so you send a note to Elaine here, she'll order it in for you!

I wished I looked like this at work, but instead I'm running around like headless chicken going from meeting to meeting!  I matched this sweetie up with papers from the new Cosmo Cricket Upcycle paper pad and kept the retro feel with a little bit of distressing and inking with my Ranger Archival ink pad in Sepia and my Memento London Fog.  I used my Sew Easy Tool with the Blanket Piercer Head and red floss.  You can't see it from the photo, but I also added teeny tiny drops of Viva Decor from my Silver Pearl Pen.

Gathering love - take 2!

Happy Thursday everyone!  Today I'm here to share with you my current faves over at Quixotic Paperie!  Did you see the SCACD blog hop last Friday showcasing the new Natural Beauty Collection release by Carmen Medlin?  Wow, every single one really is beautiful!  I made a rather hot card for the hop (see here) and I wanted to try a more muted one...

I don't normally do shabby chic/vintage but I'm really enjoying experimenting with this style!  This is Gathering Love and Elaine has a special offer ending 27 May - if you buy four or more from this new collection, she will throw in a free stamp!  She will even throw in a free stamp if you buy the full set at the current special price of £29.99 (that's 25% off if you buy all the stamps individually!).

So I matched up this beautify with gorgeous papers from the paper pack Pixie by Memory Box and the creamy rich lace by Alencon lace by Prima.   I did the stitching using the Zig Zag piercer head with my Sew Easy Tool.

I also used the lasercut chipboard by Make It Crafty -  I can't believe the level of detail of this chipboard!  I first gave the chipboard a rough cover of gesso, then dabbed Tim Holtz Distress Stain in Antique Linen over it and lastly rubbed on Viva Decor Glitter Liner in Gold with my finger.  I finished them off with 4mm iridescent pearls in Hyacinth Lilac - here's a close up...

I likey this style!  I'm going to be doing more of this in the future!  That's it from me today - thanks for visiting!

Happy Saturday everyone!  I have another summery card for you today and this time I took the plunge and made my first ever easel card...

Wow, this was easier than I thought it would be!  I used a DigiStamp Boutique called Zoe who is actually eating chocolate but I edited the image because I wanted to use their freebie handbag (which you can download here).  I hope they don't mind!  Here is proper Zoe in her full choccie glory in a card designed by Lisa Nowacki of Wishcraft!

Easter celebration over at A Spoonful of Sugar!

(Please scroll down for my Totally Ladybug Tuesday DT card)

Over at A Spoonful of Sugar we are celebrating with an Easter theme!  For my DT card, I used the super sweet Meljens Designs' Hello Bunny String - and it's super free to download here!  Here is what I did with it...

A different style for me!  I am always inspired by Paula of Flowers and Flutterby's - she has such a natural, original style.  When I saw this card here I just had the urge to do some doodling and I knew a Meljen digi would work well with it!  I think I need a bit more practice, but it was fun to do and I'm pleased the way it has turned out.  As you can see, I kept it to a CAS style to showcase the image and simply used Aquamarkers, the doodling and my trusty opaque white Viva Decor gloss pen to create teeny tiny pearls around the rabbit. I hope Paula approves!

You can see the other DT gorgeous makes here - go take a look, you won't be disappointed!

I am entering my card into Meljen Design's challenge to use punches, Karen's Doodles for Easter and Make it Monday where you can just share your creations!

{make a wish}

Happy Sunday all - I hope you are all having a good weekend!  My card today uses  I made her for the Pollycraft Monday challenge for "swirls and pearls"...

I used Cherry Kisses Fairy Socks - I think she is just the sweetest!  (I think I say that for all my stamps and digis, lol!!)  I wanted to create my own background paper and used my Gel-A-Tins called Spiral Symphony - this set is soooo old but it's the one I always turn to when I need a flourish!  I used my Viva Decor Gloss Pen and Viva Decor Pearl Pen in pale blue.  I used my Bazzill Basics Jewel template in Mystical Flourish to line up the pearls.  Simple!

I am also entering this card into Flutterby Wednesday for anything goes and One Stop Craft challenge for fairies and angels (thx for telling me about them, Alison!).

See you all again real soon!

Good afternoon everybody!  It's time for our next colour challenge over at the By Lori Designs challenge blog!  The DT has split into two teams so one team follows the colour challenge and the other team can make whatever they want!  This week I'm in the team who can make whatever they'd like and this is what I came up with...

Miss you...

Hello everyone and I hope you are all having a great week!  Today is my day at Quixotic Inspirations and I want to share with you some goodies I used from Quixotic Paperie to make this sassy yet cute card!

Don't you just luuurve her?!  She is one of three from The Greeting Farm Miss Anya Hats Off set and I matched her up with the red teeny, tiny dots and ledger papers from the My Minds Eye Stella & Rose Gertie paper pack.  I then used my trusty Viva Decor Gloss Gel pen in opaque white to create those little pearls - I love that I can make the lickle, ickle dots with it!  I used the Ranger Archival Ink in Sepia to age it a little and finished it off with a sentiment from CC Designs Summer sentiment set.  She does look a little wistful, don't you think?

That's it from me today - thanks for stopping by!

I am entering this card into the Lawnscaping Challenge for colour splash (neutral with one other colour - red!).

Embellishing fun over at A Spoonful of Sugar!

Today over at A Spoonful of Sugar, we are challenging you to use ribbon, pearls/gems and flowers - our favourite embellishing items so this will be an easy, peasy challenge for you all!  This is my DT card for it...

I am really enjoying using watercolouring with my Distress Inks with these cuties from Simply Sassy that you can buy from Funky Kits.  This one is called Bad Hare Day - brilliant!  I'm really getting into my shabby chic cards although I probably should have distressed the edges a bit!  I can't help it though - I love my clean lines!  Still, I'm quite pleased with the way it turned out.

And do you see that gorgeous ribbon?!!  The card was looking a bit flat but this antique gold lace velvet ribbon saved it from being boring!  I bought it from Ladybug Crafts Ink here.  I've also bought in a gorgeous pink version too - can't wait to use it!

I hope you like my card and you can see all the other gorgeous DT makes here.  Thanks for joining me and have a lovely day!

I am entering my card into this month's Bunny Zoe's challenge which is birthdays with lots of pearls and also into Make It Monday where you can just share your creativity!

It's all WOW over at Totally Ladybug Tuesday!

This over at Totally Ladybug Tuesday sassy DT mate Michele has challenged to a white on white challenge!  Blimey, I found this one really hard!  You know how much I love my bright colours and DPs!  Well, after much umming and ahhing, I ended up with this...

Luckily Michele took pity on us went a bit easy on us and allowed us some colour on the image only - otherwise I would have failed this challenge!  I was dying to use one of those cuties from the Ladybug Crafts Ink Baby Baby stamp set - mega cute, don't you think?!

Check out the other WOW cards over at Totally Ladybug Tuesday - you won't be disappointed!

If elephants could fly...

Happy Sunday everyone!  That sounds more upbeat than I'm feeling - the grey, grey, wet weather in the UK is dampening my spirits!  Hey ho, I complain vigorously about the weather about this time of the year and do you think anything's changed?  Nope!  You'd think I'd learn...

Today's card did put a smile on my face when I put together this morning - fresh and bright, the way I like my cards!

I made this card for this week's Totally Stampalicious challenge to make a card with the theme of Monday Blues.  I've had this little cutie coloured in for about a month but never had the inspiration to make a card with it - it was obviously fate for it to be made especially for this challenge, lol!!

You can see in the close up those small white pearly dots in the background - I've found this amazing stuff called Viva Decor at Quixotic Paperie,  These mediums come in gloss gel, pearl and glitter and are amazing because they hold their 3D shape.  Also, unlike the some other makes - it dries properly rounded without the usual peaks you need to tap out.  They come in tubes with small nozzles that are really easy to squeeze so you can create just the right size of pearls you want and are easy to draw lines with too.  I've used white opaque gloss gel - it's even more gorgeous in real life!  You can buy them here.

Those eagled eyed out there will notice that I haven't done the inside yet - I've forgotten which blue ink I used for the background so I'll have to find some time to find it again!  That'll have to wait to later on as we're off now to walk the dogs - yep, in the pouring rain, hmmph...

Paper/cardstock: Papermania white cardstock, DCWV vibrant blue cardstock

Stamps: Bugaboo Critter Balloon elephant (digi you can buy here), Hero Arts background
Mediums: Copic markers, Glossy Accents (on balloon), Viva Decor glossy pen in opaque, Versamagic blue ink
Accents: ribbons from stash, American Crafts rub on sentiments
Tools: EK Success border punch
