Navitity scene

Hi everyone!  I'm here today with my last card for Quixotic Inspiration this year as Quixotic Paperie is closed for the Christmas period from midnight tonight - so you still have time to place an order for dispatch on 16 December - get there quick!

So of course I had to make a Christmas card because I still have a few more to make for this year - and there's me thinking I was organised for it!!

This little cutie is called Reason for the Season by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD.  I matched her up with Memory Box papers (Elaine is out of this one now but the others are just as gorgeous!) and that gorgeous Holly Vine border die cut by Memory Box and Marianne D Creatable Snowflake dies, finished off with 4mm flat backed pearls

That's it for now, back later with my Pixie Dust Studios DT post!

Halloween card for a child

Hi everyone!  I hope your week is going well!  I'm sorry I haven't been around as much as I usually am, I'm doing a lot of travelling for work over the next two months so very little time for blogging - don't you just hate it when real life gets in the way?!!  I am still keeping up with my DT commitments though so you'll be seeing lots of scheduled posts still!

So I'm here today with another Halloween make using Quixotic Paperie gorgossity!  Instead of the sassy Make It Crafty Witchy Wanda that I used last week (here), this time I've made a card for a child at Halloween...

Not at all scarey!  Isn't she delightful?  This is Elisabeth Bell for SCACD called Pumpkin Patch.  I used papers from My Minds Eye Mischevious (not much of this left now!) with Bazzill Smoothie kraft cardstock with lots of distressing and inking using Tim Holtz Broken China Distress Stain and Ranger Archival Jet Black ink pad on the chipboard letters.

You can find more of the gorgeous Elisabeth Bell for SCACD Holiday Peekers in the new products section along with other new gorgeous products...

Sweetness alert!

Have you seen the new Elizabeth Bell The Peekers #2 release for SCACD yet?  They are as sweet as all of her releases this year!  For my Quixotic Inspirations make today, I have used this little cutie...

This is Mama's Purse - obviously looking for cash for crafty stash!  I matched her up with BasicGrey Green At Heart papers and a sentiment from Whimsy's Ticket Sentiments Set, die cut with the matching Whimsy Shapeology Ticket die.  And take a closer look at the flowers...

Don't you think the darker ones look like suede?!  I think they are fab!  I used the uber easy to use Marianne D Creatables Chinese Rose dies made with Tim Holtz Grunge Paper, coloured with Distress Stains finished off with pearl beads.

That's it from me - see you later with my DT card for the fabulous Pixie Dust Studios new release!

Just a note...

Time to showcase some of the gorgeous goodies for the Quixotic Inspiration blog!  My card this week uses one of the new releases in Elisabeth Bell's Spring release called Letter to a Friend - I write a lot to mine so this is going to get a lot of use!

Isn't she great - it really looks like she's being thoughtful, getting ready to write her message!  I matched her up with that gorgeous paper from the My Minds Eye Stelle & Rose Gertie paper pad and added those gorgeous beads in the roses - you can buy different sizes of these beads here.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

The Spring release set is really gorgeous and you can get the whole set here and it's currently in offer for £23.99 - that's 25% off!   That works out to less than £4.80 each (normally £6.45 each!).  Also in the shop are the new Kraftin' Kimmies - the fairies are just GORGEOUS!  Some of those will probably find their way into my shopping basket...

That's it from me today - see you later with my By LoRi Designs challenge DT post and Some Odd Girl GD post!

Somebody give me a Totally Gorjuss cuddle!

Hi all!  Can you guess what this week's challenge is over at Totally Gorjuss?  Yes - come on, give us a cuddle!  Include something cuddly in your creation - interpret that as you will!  This week we are sponsored by the wonderful Simon Says Stamp - I can't believe how much stock they hold!!

Anyway, onto the card!  Well you can't get much cuddlier than a teddy so I just had to use this stamp, didn't I?!

I confess that I coloured in this lady over a month ago but I put her away because I just couldn't get the papers right with her!  When I saw the challenge I immediately got her out and tried again - and now I'm really pleased how she's turned out!
